Watching Aruma Noyn and Ingrid Sigfield walk away into the distance, Abel Noct finally let out a small sigh of relief.
If Aruma Noyn had not reacted quickly enough, he would have already been unable to hold back from using “Flame Fist” on Ingrid Sigfield.
Afterward he could have simply declared the woman had died from her injuries, but with Aruma Noyn watching, it would have been difficult to clean up afterward.
Looks like these Myanmar North 2D games are still Myanmar North 2D games after all.
The heaven-defying absurdity of these women is as ridiculous as ever!
Absolutely. Absolutely do not get entangled with this group of women in any way!!
Abel Noct sat inside the ruined arena and once again affirmed his decision.
He would stay far away from these crazy women, or he would only end up unfortunate.
The battle earlier had looked overwhelmingly one-sided, ending with a single punch that defeated the opening boss Surtr.
Only Abel Noct himself knew that the punch just now had used nearly all of his strength.
Although it was the game’s opening boss, that did not mean it was weak inside the actual storyline.
On the contrary, Surtr’s settings were extremely high. Its armor was incredibly thick, and ordinary attacks could hardly inflict any damage.
Fortunately, Sutis in gauntlet form was an angelic armament that pushed explosive power to the absolute limit. Otherwise this battle would not have been so easy.
His stamina consumption had not been small. Right now he was sitting and recovering his energy.
As Surtr dissipated, the source of infection vanished.
Under the joint efforts of the Kingdom Knight Order and the Church knights who had rushed over to support them, the disaster that could have nearly destroyed the entire Royal Capital was gradually being brought under control.
The priests were working hard to treat the wounded.
Sutis stepped forward, slightly raising her chin, and said, “My knight, there is no need to mind the foolish ramblings of idiots. Be proud of yourself. You have done even better than I imagined!”
Sutis’s consolation did improve Abel Noct’s mood a little.
Or rather, he had long been mentally prepared for the words of these “heaven-defying female leads,” so Ingrid Sigfield’s stinging remarks had not stirred up too many waves in his heart.
What he cared about more was that he had finally prevented Surtr from causing even greater disaster.
“My knight, how did it feel to ‘merge’ with me for the first time?”
Sutis sat down beside him, her emerald eyes blinking as she asked in all seriousness, though her tone carried a naive curiosity.
“Did you feel the resonance of fate?”
Abel Noct rubbed his brow, exhausted. “…Not bad.”
“Not bad?”
She seemed somewhat dissatisfied with the evaluation.
Merging with me for the first time should have felt incredibly good, right!
She clearly remembered the sensation of their bodies fusing, merely pressing together.
Body temperature, breathing, hardness, speed—all of it could be felt.
“That is because you have not yet fully familiarized yourself with my power.”
Sutis slightly lifted her chin. Despite her little-girl appearance, she adopted an overly mature posture.
“Once you and I achieve deeper rapport, a casual strike from you will be enough to reduce such inferior fallen gods to dust completely.”
“Yeah, yeah, yeah…”
“That is more like it! By the way, next, where shall we go to devour those corrupted and fallen gods?”
She licked her lips, her emerald eyes flashing with an alluring appetite.
Armored Angels possessed an innate desire to devour divine power.
After defeating Surtr earlier, most of its divine power had been absorbed by Sutis.
Abel Noct responded perfunctorily, his gaze turning toward the distant fires that were gradually being brought under control and the busy rescue figures.
“Next? Of course we leave here first. The Royal Capital is too dangerous, full of…”
Before he could finish speaking, a series of hurried footsteps came from the other side of the ruins.
A maid with short water-blue hair was leading a squad of fully armed Kingdom knights charging over.
The maid spotted Princess Prim leaning unconscious against a broken pillar at a glance and her face immediately paled in shock. “Your Highness the Princess—!”
She rushed to Prim’s side, confirmed that the princess had merely fainted, then suddenly looked up and glared furiously at Abel Noct sitting not far away.
The surrounding knights drew their swords in unison with a shing, the cold glints exceptionally piercing under the sunset that had yet to fully clear the smoke and dust.
“It’s you!” the maid accused sharply.
“You are the one who abducted Her Highness the Princess into the arena! Now the princess is unconscious with wounds on her body—was it you who did this?!”
Abel Noct lazily lifted his eyelids. “She fell on her own. What does that have to do with me.”
“Nonsense! How could Her Highness the Princess fall for no reason? It must be you, this madman, harboring ill intentions and harming Her Highness!” The maid did not believe him at all. She waved her hand and shouted sternly, “Kingdom Knight Order, seize this traitor! If he dares resist, kill without mercy!”
The knights advanced threateningly in response.
Sutis’s small face immediately darkened. She stepped forward, blocking in front of Abel Noct. Though her voice was childish, it carried undeniable authority.
“Ignorant fools. This woman was blown away by the battle’s shockwaves and crashed into the pillar, fainting. It has nothing to do with my knight.”
“Moreover, without him, there probably would not be a single living human left in the Royal Capital right now!”
Only then did the maid notice this green-haired little girl.
Seeing her strange attire and arrogant tone, she became even more furious.
“Where did this wild brat come from, daring to spout nonsense here? Who gave you the right to speak in this place!”
“You—”
Sutis’s emerald pupils slightly contracted, and a faint milky-white halo began to swirl around her.
Abel Noct could feel the magical ripples caused by her emotional fluctuations—
This little girl was truly angry.
Just as the atmosphere grew tense and swords were about to be drawn, a voice filled with hidden amusement, clear and melodious like silver bells, pierced through the clamor and rang out distinctly:
“Where did this ‘wild brat’ come from? Is this the only level of courtly upbringing your kingdom has?”
Everyone followed the sound and looked over.
A group of figures in pure white gold-trimmed priestly robes walked in from the outer edges of the ruins.
Leading them was a female archbishop with striking orange hair and snow-white robes.
She stepped into the ruins holding her staff, and wherever her gaze swept, the clamor fell silent.
Her eyes passed over the maid and finally landed on Sutis, upon which she slightly bowed:
“She is the Third-Type Holy Armor Angel created by my Chronos Church after pouring a century of effort—Lady Sutis. Her status is revered, equivalent to a cardinal of the diocese, or even surpassing it.”
“Is such an identity sufficient for her to speak, Miss Court Maid?”
“…” The maid’s lips moved, but not a single word of rebuttal came out.
This woman’s identity was not something a mere little maid like herself could refute.
Then this highly esteemed archbishop turned her gaze to Abel Noct. She stepped forward, emotionally grasping his hand, her entire body almost pressing against his:
“Respected Hero, everything is the guidance of fate, allowing me, Sephilia, to finally find you! Please pay no heed to the crude words of worldly people. Now, please come to the Royal Capital Church so we can have a deep exchange, alright?”
As she spoke she even playfully winked at Abel Noct. The words “deep exchange” were deliberately emphasized in her tone.
If Abel Noct had not been a player who already knew this woman was no good either, as a simple hot-blooded teenager in his teens he would most likely have been deceived by her!
In the original plot, this woman—renamed Sephilia—was the former Saintess and the current regional archbishop of the kingdom.
She was a deeply scheming woman who constantly thought about poaching the male lead to the Church!
It was just that in the original plot the dog developers had not let her succeed.
As for how she treated the protagonist?
On the surface it was quite good! She was even one of the few who gave the protagonist benefits.
For those who had not deeply studied the plot, she was practically the only white moonlight in the game!
But behind the scenes she still only treated the protagonist as a chess piece.
Although this woman was also bad, Abel Noct at least did not dislike her.
At the very least she was a straightforward villainous bad woman, unlike the other female leads who draped themselves in banners of justice and righteousness while often doing inhuman things.
Just as Abel Noct was pondering how to reply to Sephilia—
“Wait a minute! He is the Knight Commander of our kingdom’s knight order and will not be going with you!”
“Your Highness the Princess, you’re awake?”
