“…which should be more than enough for us to first set them aside and have some proper ‘fun’ together!”
Lin Zhizhi leaned in extremely close, her eyes flashing with malice as her breath sprayed across Bai Linlin’s face.
Bai Linlin’s heart pounded wildly. All sorts of bloody and terrifying scenes flashed through her mind.
What the hell does this psycho want to do?!
“So, what should we play first?”
Lin Zhizhi tilted her head, genuinely seeming to consider an interesting game.
Her gaze swept over the curves of Bai Linlin’s rope-bound body and finally settled on her toes that swayed slightly because she was suspended.
“I’ve got it!”
She snapped her fingers, her smile radiant.
“Let’s hang you a little higher first! That way the viewing angle will be much better for ‘playing’!”
As she spoke, she walked behind a thick nearby tree.
Only then did Bai Linlin notice that a simple but sturdy pulley system had already been prepared there.
One end of the rope hung down while the other looped high over a thick horizontal branch.
Lin Zhizhi deftly connected the hanging loop to the main rope binding Bai Linlin from behind.
“Wait! You— mmph…!”
Bai Linlin’s words were blocked by the cloth still stuffed in her mouth.
Lin Zhizhi paid her no attention. She grabbed the other end of the rope and began pulling down hard.
“Ugh…!”
Bai Linlin felt her body suddenly grow lighter as the rope behind her tightened sharply, forcing a muffled groan from her throat.
The ground rapidly moved away.
She was lifted entirely into the air, now dangling unsteadily about a meter off the ground.
She had now completely become a “human ornament” tightly wrapped in a rope grid and suspended in mid-air.
The luxurious skirt hung limply.
The ropes dug deeply into the fabric.
Her entire body weight was supported by the crossed knots, creating pressure everywhere.
This pose… Bai Linlin felt utter despair inside.
This is way too similar to those unspeakable anime scenes where the evil villain uses tentacles to tie up and suspend the magical girl before doing terrible things!
The only difference was that the “tentacles” here were rough hemp ropes.
The “villain” was a blonde psycho, and the “magical girl” was her, an impostor!
Lin Zhizhi took two steps back, crossed her arms, and admired her masterpiece with a satisfied nod.
“This pose is pretty good, right?”
She clapped her hands, then without any warning, threw a punch straight into Bai Linlin’s stomach!
“Ugh!”
Bai Linlin’s body swung in the air from the impact. However, the expected excruciating pain did not come.
Was this body particularly tough?
Or had that strange “transformation” strengthened her defense?
There was only a dull ache and a strong impact.
“Oh? You can take a hit pretty well.”
Lin Zhizhi raised an eyebrow, seeming even more interested.
She stepped forward and pinched one of Bai Linlin’s cheeks with cold fingers, kneading it roughly.
“Now that I think about it, I don’t think I’ve ever looked at this face of yours carefully.”
Her nails scraped across the skin, causing a stinging sensation.
“No wonder that Jiang Niaoniao would say something disgusting like ‘you two are in love.’”
Lin Zhizhi scoffed, her eyes turning cold.
“Hahaha! It would be quite heartbreaking if such a cute face got ruined, wouldn’t it?”
With that, she raised her fist and smashed it hard into Bai Linlin’s cheek!
Bang!
This blow was much heavier than the one to her stomach.
Bai Linlin’s head snapped violently to the side. Her ears rang, and her left cheek immediately swelled with burning pain.
A stronger metallic taste of blood filled her mouth.
The humiliation and pain made her eyes sting with heat. She could only let out broken “mmph mmph” sounds.
“Yes! That’s exactly the expression I wanted!”
Lin Zhizhi grew excited instead.
“Fear, pain, and complete helplessness… How wonderful!”
Just as she seemed ready to continue enjoying the pleasure of using Bai Linlin as a punching bag, she suddenly paused as if remembering something.
“Right!”
She clapped once, reached over, and roughly yanked out the cloth gag from Bai Linlin’s mouth.
“Cough cough… cough!”
Bai Linlin coughed violently, gulping down the cold night air.
Ignoring the blood that might be trickling from the corner of her mouth, she shouted hoarsely.
“Lin Zhizhi! What exactly do you want?!”
“What do I want?”
Lin Zhizhi tilted her head, her smile pure yet cruel.
“‘Bai Linlin.’ Watching you, watching Jiang Niaoniao, watching Xiran… This little drama of yours is even more interesting than I imagined. Especially you,”
She poked Bai Linlin’s swollen cheek.
“You feel quite different from that previous blustering idiot. How fascinating.”
Bai Linlin’s heart tightened. Enduring the pain and dizziness, her mind raced.
She couldn’t anger her, but she also couldn’t let herself be toyed with.
She tried to make her voice sound calmer.
“You kidnapped me just to beat me up? What kind of fun is that? When Jiang Niaoniao sees this… she’ll only think you’re a violent lunatic.”
“A lunatic? Hahaha!”
Lin Zhizhi laughed loudly.
“So what? I enjoy it. As for Jiang Niaoniao…” A calculating light flashed in her eyes.
“Seeing you like this will be far more interesting. I’m looking forward to her arrival.”
She looked up at the sky to estimate the time.
“The guest for the main course should be receiving the invitation soon, right?”
***
The perspective shifted to Jiang Niaoniao.
After returning from the bathroom in the stairwell and finding Bai Linlin missing.
She had searched everywhere Bai Linlin might normally go.
Where did Linlin run off to?
Could she have been taken by Xiran…?
An ominous premonition spread through her heart.
She stood in the empty corridor.
Her white hair fluttered in the wind blowing through the windows.
The gentle smile on her face had long disappeared, replaced by an icy calm.
At that moment, the phone in her pocket vibrated.
She took it out and opened the message.
It was from “Linlin.”
The instant she read those three lines, the temperature around Jiang Niaoniao plummeted to freezing point.
Her fingers tightened slightly around the phone, her knuckles turning white.
The cold glow of the screen illuminated her expressionless face.
Those eyes that always carried a gentle smile were now bottomless, with a faint dark red glint flashing through them.
“Lin. Zhi. Zhi.”
She softly spoke the name, each syllable seeming to come from an ice cellar.
She closed her eyes and took a deep breath.
When she opened them again, her gaze was filled with cold, unwavering killing intent.
She put away her phone, turned around, and headed in the direction of the “upstream from the cliff” mentioned in the message.
“Linlin,”
She whispered softly, her voice as gentle as if she were coaxing someone to sleep, yet the content made one’s blood run cold.
“Don’t be afraid.”
“I’ll kill Xiran, then clean up everyone who dared to disturb us…”
“And then I’ll rescue you.”
