Chapter 8: Soaking in the Hot Spring

Xing Lian did not know what was going through Fei’s mind. 

She heard the sound of movement and knew the person who had bullied her had arrived, but why was she just standing there in silence?

Being watched so intently by those burning eyes made Xing Lian feel very uneasy. 

Fortunately, it was not long before the other woman spoke.

“How is your body? How are the injuries on your feet?”

Her body?

Xing Lian took a moment to check her condition. 

Her body felt much more comfortable, and her feet no longer hurt. 

She described her feelings in a soft, sweet voice.

“I feel much better.”

“That is good.”

Fei walked over to Xing Lian’s side and pulled her into her arms.

Xing Lian instinctively wanted to struggle, but then she remembered that struggling was useless. 

She sat there blankly and remained silent.

Xing Lian did not speak, and Fei did not speak either; she was completely immersed in joy.

The little one in her arms was so fragrant and soft. 

No matter how much she held her, she never grew tired of it. 

Even if she were allowed to hold her for one whole day, it would not be a problem.

However, after they had been holding each other for a short while, an embarrassing sound echoed out.

“Gurgle.”

Xing Lian’s expressionless face finally shifted, a shy blush creeping across her cheeks.

Why did her stomach have to growl like that? 

She had only been hungry for a little while, right? 

This was incredibly embarrassing.

“Are you hungry?” Fei asked softly.

Xing Lian lowered her head and said nothing.

Fei said apologetically, “I am sorry. I actually forgot to feed you. Wait here.”

With that, she got up and left the Mountain Cave.

‘Feed… feed me?’

Just what did she take her for?

Being spoken of in such a way made Xing Lian a little angry, but right now, she had no right to be angry at all.

After Fei left, Xing Lian returned to her previous sitting position, staring blankly ahead with vacant eyes.

In a short while, Fei returned.

‘So fast! Did she finish making the food that quickly?’ Xing Lian was very surprised.

Fei’s voice reached her, “The food is not ready yet. I just thought that staying in the Mountain Cave alone would be boring for you. Why not come out for a walk to relax your mind?”

‘Where could a blind person like me possibly wander?’

She had been captured and then forced into… those kinds of things. 

How could her mind possibly be relaxed?

Xing Lian complained in her heart.

Without waiting for her to respond, Fei took her hand and led her out of the Mountain Cave.

Everything was pitch black, and she could see nothing. 

Xing Lian only felt that they had walked for a while before arriving at an open space. 

A warm sensation washed over her.

This seemed to be outside the cave; the warmth on her body was likely the sun.

Speaking of which, since this person lived in a cave in the middle of the Jungle, was she some kind of savage?

No, probably not…

Thinking about how the woman could switch forms at will, Xing Lian felt a bit confused.

Lost in her stray thoughts, she was led to a rock.

Fei spread a thick layer of animal fur over the rock and helped her sit down before she began to get busy.

It was soft beneath her, making it very comfortable to sit. 

It felt a bit hot in front of her, as if there were a campfire.

Fei took a large amount of mushrooms from her food storage. 

These black-and-white, diamond-shaped mushrooms were extremely precious spiritual mushrooms.

Although they were small, they were packed with nutrients and were a rare delicacy.

The little one was so thin; she had to give her plenty of nourishment to make up for it.

Fei washed the mushrooms with spring water, used her sharp claws to cut them into several pieces, and threw them into a bubbling pot.

Xing Lian had no expectations for the food Fei prepared, thinking only that it would be enough to fill her stomach.

But after sitting for a short while, she smelled a wonderful fragrance that made her mouth water.

The aroma was overflowing; the taste must be amazing!

‘I want to eat… I really want to eat it…’

Xing Lian’s eyes could not help themselves as they stared straight toward the direction of the fragrance.

When Fei saw Xing Lian making such a cute expression, she felt as if her heart were melting.

“Do you want to eat?”

Xing Lian swallowed her saliva awkwardly.

“Little one, endure it for just a bit longer. It will be ready soon.”

After saying that, Fei picked up a ladle and stirred the pot.

The fragrance filled the air. 

Xing Lian endured and endured, and just as she was about to lose her self-control, the food was finally ready.

Fei took out a small bowl, filled it with soup, and walked over to Xing Lian.

Xing Lian reached out to take it, but Fei swayed her body to avoid her.

“You cannot see. It would be easy to spill the soup and you might burn yourself. Why don’t you let me feed you?”

“I can do it.”

“No, you cannot. Be good… listen to me.”

Whether she was coaxed by that gentle voice or she was truly just that hungry, Xing Lian did not continue to insist.

“Fine.”

Hearing Xing Lian agree, a smile appeared on Fei’s face. 

She picked up the spoon to scoop some soup, blew on it gently, and held it to her lips.

Xing Lian opened her pink lips, and the spoon was delivered into her mouth.

The mushroom soup had a dense texture and a rich, savory flavor. 

The mushroom meat was tender and smooth with a hint of sweetness. 

Xing Lian liked it very much.

After finishing one bowl, Xing Lian asked for another. 

She drank three bowls in a row until her little belly was bulging. 

Only then did she reluctantly shake her head.

“I am full.”

Fei put down the soup bowl and patted her bulging little belly.

“It seems you really are full.”

The tips of Xing Lian’s ears turned slightly red.

With the feeding complete, Fei drank the rest of the mushroom soup and cleaned the utensils. 

Afterward, she picked Xing Lian up and carried her in a certain direction.

“Where are we going?”

They say that once one is full and warm, one’s thoughts turn to lust. 

Worried that this person would make a move on her now that she was fed and satisfied, Xing Lian felt a bit panicked.

“I am taking you to bathe. Your body is filthy.”

‘A bath?’

Xing Lian let out a sigh of relief at the words.

However, hearing her say that, Xing Lian also realized the situation.

She had been bullied so harshly before that she had nearly become dehydrated. 

Her body was indeed covered in many unspeakable things. 

Having those things sticking to her body was truly improper.

Xing Lian desperately wanted a bath, but when they arrived at the location, she suddenly began to shrink back.

Xing Lian was blind. 

In a familiar place, she could look after herself and bathe alone without issue. 

But this place was completely foreign to her; she had no way to wash by herself and would have to rely on someone else for help.

If she let her help, what if she suddenly felt an impulse while washing her?

Xing Lian had her concerns, but Fei would not allow her to retreat. 

She stripped her naked in just two or three moves and carried her into the spring.

It was only after entering the water that Xing Lian discovered it was a Hot Spring. 

The water was warm and made her feel very comfortable.

She had only ever heard of hot springs in stories before. 

To actually be inside one now made Xing Lian feel as if she were dreaming. 

Her eyes were incredibly bright.

“Let go of me! Let go, I want to wash myself!”

Having arrived in the Hot Spring, Xing Lian was extremely excited. 

She desperately wanted to move about freely in the water.

Fei wanted to stop her, but seeing those sparkling eyes, her heart immediately softened.

“Fine, I will let you go. Be careful.”

“I know, I will be careful!”

Xing Lian nodded like a little chick pecking at grain.

Fei released her hand, and Xing Lian gained her freedom. 

And then…

“Glug, glug.”

The moment she left Fei’s embrace, Xing Lian’s foot slipped. 

She sank to the bottom in an instant, swallowing several large mouthfuls of spring water.

Fei realized something was wrong and reacted just in time, scooping Xing Lian up.

“Little one, are you all right?” Looking at the disheveled Xing Lian, Fei asked with a face full of worry.
