Chapter 52: Be Bold Enough and Even a God Can Take Maternity Leave

Every inch of the air was filled with Qin Hongyi’s suffocating murmurs:

“He is mine…”

“Break his legs and lock him in the basement…”

“These eyes are so beautiful. If I gouge them out, they’ll look at me forever…”

“Make him cry… I want to hear him cry…”

This had nothing to do with a Divine Kingdom anymore. This was the deepest, 18+ forbidden hell scroll straight from the bottom of Qin Hongyi’s mind!

“No! This is impossible! It’s too dirty! Too filthy!”

Su Rou screamed in collapse.

The rules she had constructed were based on absolute reason and perfect logic. 

They simply could not parse this kind of chaotic, violent, and lowbrow human desire.

The data streams began to spiral out of control.

The white divine temple was strangled and crushed by black thorns.

The light chains binding Gu Chen became as fragile as paper in front of Qin Hongyi’s materialized whips and collars, snapping inch by inch.

Gu Chen landed on the ground.

The white suit on his body had already been dyed a bewitching dark red—the color of Qin Hongyi’s desire.

He brushed off nonexistent dust from his shoulder with distaste, looking at the illusions around him enacting R-rated scenes, and couldn’t help twitching at the corner of his eye.

“President Qin, I told you to think of something exciting, not to go straight into full porn mode.”

Gu Chen complained in his mind.

“Do you want to spend the rest of your life behind bars?”

In reality, Qin Hongyi seemed to let out a soft laugh. 

The thoughts she transmitted became even more violent.

A giant high-heeled shoe condensed from black mist appeared out of thin air and stomped down, shattering Su Rou’s throne that symbolized divine authority.

Su Rou fell to the ground. 

The white light on her body flickered on and off like a faulty light bulb.

“Stop… stop it… I…”

Su Rou clutched her head, writhing in pain on the ground.

Qin Hongyi’s acid-like, deranged will was corroding her core.

For a false god who had only recently ascended through devouring, there was no more lethal virus than the indescribable malice of humanity.

“So-called gods can be killed as long as they bleed. And as long as they have desires, they will fall.”

Gu Chen walked up to Su Rou and looked at the girl who was breaking down.

The black thorns around them seemed to welcome their king, automatically parting to create a path for him.

“Su Rou, your so-called perfect world is too boring.”

Gu Chen reached out. 

This time, he didn’t dodge. 

Instead, he pressed his hand directly onto Su Rou’s trembling forehead.

“A true god controls desire instead of eliminating it.”

Crack!

Accompanied by a crisp sound of glass shattering.

The holy white lotus mark on Su Rou’s forehead was instantly dyed into a pitch-black ink lotus.

The entire pure white space collapsed with a thunderous roar.

“Pfft!”

Inside Laboratory Seven, Su Rou violently spat out a mouthful of black blood and fell backward.

The white light on her body completely extinguished, and the blue code beneath her skin dimmed as well—a sign of overload and shutdown.

The spiritual pressure binding Gu Chen and Qin Hongyi vanished instantly.

Gu Chen gasped for air, his entire body soaked as if he had just been fished out of water.

The mental tug-of-war was far more exhausting than physical combat.

Before he could steady himself, a pair of warm and powerful arms suddenly wrapped around his waist from behind.

Qin Hongyi pressed herself against him.

Her body temperature was frighteningly high, her breathing rapid, still carrying the fierce remnants of lust and violence.

“Earlier inside…”

She gritted her teeth beside Gu Chen’s ear.

“You were enjoying the view, weren’t you?”

Gu Chen’s body stiffened.

This was the aftereffect of having all her private thoughts exposed. 

The woman was currently in a state of extreme shame and fury layered on top of each other.

“That was strategy.” 

Gu Chen spoke seriously, trying to push her away. 

“President Qin, I did it to save you.”

“Cut the crap.”

Qin Hongyi ignored him and bit down hard on the side of his neck—the same spot Su Rou had bitten earlier.

“Remember those scenes. Sooner or later, I will reenact every single one of them on you.”

Crazy woman.

Gu Chen cursed inwardly.

A burnt smell permeated the air.

After the collapse of divine authority, the mixed scent of overloaded neurons and burned server units smelled exactly like cheap cigars.

Gu Chen pushed the woman who was pressing down on him away.

This woman’s physical resilience was terrifying even after undergoing a mental nuclear explosion.

She gripped his shoulders tightly, her manicured nails almost digging into his flesh. 

Her eyes still held that extreme excitement and killing intent. 

She clearly hadn’t come down from the sadistic pleasure yet.

“Let go.”

Gu Chen’s voice was hoarse as if he had swallowed sand. 

He slapped her face without politeness. 

“Keep squeezing like that and I’ll have to register at the orthopedics department for my shoulder.”

Qin Hongyi’s eyes went blank for a few seconds before slowly regaining focus.

She looked down at the bleeding bite mark on Gu Chen’s neck—her handiwork.

She licked the corner of her lips, a perverted look of satisfaction flashing in her eyes.

“Pretty tough, aren’t you?”

Qin Hongyi released him, pushed herself up from the ground, and casually dragged Gu Chen to his feet like a chick. 

“Mental contamination of that level would turn an ordinary person’s brain into tofu pudding.”

“Thanks to you.” 

Gu Chen straightened his torn deep-V collar, not bothering to cover the large expanse of pale skin exposed. 

He shot back, “If President Qin’s brain full of yellow waste could generate electricity, Laboratory Seven would have power for a hundred years.”

Qin Hongyi sneered and was about to retort when her expression suddenly turned cold.

There was movement from the ruins not far away.

Crack.

It sounded like bones resetting.

The God Eater, who should have already shut down, moved.

Su Rou lay on the ground, her body twisted into a bizarre, reverse-jointed posture.

The pitch-black lotus mark on her forehead flickered wildly. 

With every flash, her body convulsed violently, as if rebooting.

“Not dead yet?” Qin Hongyi’s eyes instantly turned icy.

She moved extremely fast, drawing the scorching Desert Eagle from the holster on her thigh in one smooth motion. 

Without even looking, she raised her hand and fired.

Bang!

The large-caliber bullet tore through the air, heading straight for Su Rou.

However.

There was no expected scene of brains exploding.

Su Rou didn’t even turn her head.

She simply swung her hand backward casually, as if swatting a fly.

The supersonic bullet was caught firmly between two of her slender, deathly pale fingers.

Sizzle.

The bullet was crushed into a scrap of metal in her fingertips and tossed aside.

Qin Hongyi narrowed her eyes, killing intent surging. 

She was about to pull the trigger again when Gu Chen grabbed her wrist.

“Don’t waste bullets.”

Gu Chen stared at Su Rou’s back. 

“She’s no longer the god from earlier.”

Su Rou slowly turned around.

The once pure and innocent little white flower face was now completely blank.

It held neither the lofty divinity nor any human emotion.

Her pupils had dilated to the extreme, occupying her entire eye sockets. 

Inside was a chaotic, profound blackness, like a hard drive after formatting—nothing but garbled code.

The strangest thing was the way she looked at Qin Hongyi.

There was no hatred, no killing intent.

Only a fear that came from the depths of her genes.

It was the trembling of a mouse seeing a cat, a prisoner seeing the warden.

Su Rou shuddered violently. 

A hissing sound came from her throat as she instinctively curled into a ball, avoiding Qin Hongyi’s gaze.

“She’s afraid of you,” Gu Chen concluded.

“Afraid of me?” 

Qin Hongyi raised an eyebrow, gun still in hand. 

“She wanted to kill me earlier, and now she’s playing pitiful?”

“No, she’s genuinely terrified.”

Gu Chen released Qin Hongyi’s hand and walked barefoot across the broken glass shards toward Su Rou. 

“Your desire virus didn’t just destroy her Divine Kingdom. It also rewrote her in the process.”

Gu Chen stopped three meters in front of Su Rou.

At this distance, a monster capable of catching bullets with her bare hands could kill him in 0.1 seconds.

But Gu Chen showed no caution.

He bent down slightly, observing her like a newly manufactured toy with some defects.

“Hey,” Gu Chen called out. “Can you still understand human speech?”

Su Rou’s eyeballs moved stiffly. Her gaze finally focused on Gu Chen.

This time, the reaction was different.

If it was fear toward Qin Hongyi, then toward Gu Chen it was a pathological craving.

It was the attraction of the key to the main body, combined with the previous mental link. 

In her eyes, Gu Chen was probably the only one of her kind and her master in the entire world.

“Hungry.”

Su Rou opened her mouth.

She tentatively reached out, trying to grab the hem of Gu Chen’s pants.

Her movements were cautious and ingratiating, yet accompanied by uncontrollable twitches.

Slap.

Gu Chen swatted her hand away.

The force was actually quite light.

But Su Rou recoiled as if electrocuted, curling up on the ground and shivering. 

Yet she still looked up at him with those large, pitch-black eyes, letting out a pitiful whimper from her throat like a small dog that had just been kicked by its owner.
