But class had already started, and Longyu had returned to her seat.
Yuriko had no idea what Yuri had taught her, so she could only wait and ask later.
After this lesson ended, it was noon, time for lunch break.
Yuriko took out the cake she’d put away that morning, and sure enough, Longyu followed the scent and came running.
“I wonder what it tastes like.”
Yuriko cut the cake into three pieces, making one noticeably larger—almost half the cake.
That piece was for Longyu. Considering her appetite, this cake was just a snack, barely enough to fill the gaps between her teeth.
Longyu dug into her piece the moment she got it.
Judging by the blissful expression on her face, the cake must have been pretty good.
Yuriko took a bite.
The taste was indeed excellent—the texture was fluffy, the cream was cool without being too sweet, and it melted in her mouth the moment she bit into it.
By Yuriko’s standards, this cake would get at least a nine out of ten.
‘That shop was called Zhen Dian Fang, right? I’ll stop by later.’
“By the way, what did Yuri teach you just now?”
Yuriko asked Longyu after they finished eating.
Longyu had already wolfed down her cake.
When Yuriko asked, she pulled out her phone and showed her notes.
“Yuri said everyone makes up a persona when they chat online, so I made one for myself too!”
Yuriko read the words Longyu had written on the phone, whispering them aloud:
“Dragon God’s Apostle, six feet tall, carrying the grudges of a past life, hates evil like an enemy, loves barbecue…”
Yuriko stared at the description with a strange look.
She thought it was a bit chuunibyou.
So that’s the nonsense Yuri taught her?
“Longyu, I actually think your own traits are good enough for an online persona.”
It was true that some people pretended to be all sorts of personas online—silver-haired catgirls, fox girls, bunny girls…
But Longyu was already a dragon girl, so she didn’t need to fake anything.
She just needed to be herself.
“Is that so? But I think just being a dragon and a princess isn’t cool enough. Look what I came up with—sounds so impressive!”
Longyu clearly preferred the persona she’d thought up during class.
Seeing that she couldn’t convince her, Yuriko gave up trying.
When Longyu eventually came to her senses, this would probably become her embarrassing history.
After introducing her online persona, Longyu headed to the cafeteria since she was still hungry.
Yuriko and Carmilla weren’t hungry yet after finishing the cake, so Yuriko sent a message to Olesia.
Yuriko: “Olesia, are you there? I need a favor.”
Olesia replied quickly, within half a minute.
Olesia: “I’m here.”
Yuriko: “Mira and I want to join the Student Council. Can you help us out?”
Olesia: “I can, but why the sudden interest in joining?”
Yuriko: “I just want to contribute to the academy. If possible, please assign us the tough jobs like patrolling—we don’t mind!”
On the other end of the phone, Olesia stared at the message and thought it over.
Soon she understood why Yuriko wanted to join the Student Council.
“I see. By patrolling in the name of the Student Council, they can move openly in other grades’ activity areas.”
Olesia: “Alright, I’ll process it at noon. You can come by after school to take your positions.”
Yuriko: “Great, thanks~”
Olesia: “It’s a small thing. No need to thank me.”
“Done!” Yuriko made an OK gesture at Carmilla.
Carmilla smiled softly.
“It’s wonderful that it went so smoothly.”
“This is the benefit of connections. Now if someone causes trouble in my shop, I don’t even have to act—I just call Big Sister and they all get locked up!”
That was power.
Even though it wasn’t her own power, borrowing it still felt good—much more useful than running around by herself for half a day.
Time came to after school.
Yuriko and Carmilla arrived at the Student Council as agreed.
Although Shengxiu Academy had several thousand students, the Student Council only had a dozen or so members.
Besides the President, Secretary, Treasurer, and other key roles, the rest handled miscellaneous tasks like “patrolling,” “field inspections,” and “sanitation checks.”
Yuriko had asked Olesia for exactly that kind of slot.
After they arrived, Olesia began assigning tasks.
“Yuriko and Carmilla, I’d like you to handle club activity inspections. The main things to check are whether each club is operating normally, whether their activities are reasonable, etc. The specific details are recorded on the forms. You can also write your opinions on each club in the comments section at the end, and the Student Council will handle them later.”
Yuriko and Carmilla took the assignments and headed out.
They spent a little time understanding their work and confirming the guidelines.
Then they started patrolling the academy.
Their first target was the News Club—after all, it was the first club Yuriko had ever encountered.
Besides, she still didn’t know where the other clubs were, so she could ask for directions at the News Club.
“Welcome, Seniors. Suddenly dropping by our News Club, are you here to…”
The News Club President noticed the Student Council badge on Yuriko’s shoulder.
“We’re here to inspect club activities,” Yuriko said.
Carmilla held the record forms in her hands and had already started observing the News Club’s situation.
“So Seniors are already Student Council members. Actually, there’s not much to inspect in our club. It’s just the few of us here, and our activity is writing the newspaper in the activity room.”
That was indeed the case.
News Club members were either out gathering news or writing the newspaper here, occasionally going to interview someone.
“True. Actually, we also came here for another favor. Since Mira and I haven’t joined any clubs, we’re not sure where the others are. Could you tell us roughly where they operate?”
Yuriko had hoped the News Club President would just point out a general location.
To her surprise, the President pulled out a map of the academy from a cabinet.
“So Seniors are asking for directions! Then I’ll give you this map. It records all the club department rooms and usual activity grounds. It should be helpful to you.”
Yuriko took the map.
As the News Club President had said, it listed each club’s department room location, along with what they usually liked to do, what time they gathered, and when they ended.
‘Good grief, this is internal information!’
