Chapter 4: Appearance

Noah nodded knowingly, then split up with Ouluola to search for suitable items.

There were no small metal objects in this room, so she searched for a long time without finding anything useful.

Noah looked up and was suddenly drawn to a mirror.

She walked over to it and stopped involuntarily.

‘Is it a mirror…’

Because she had lost her memory, Noah had no idea what she looked like.

She walked to the mirror nervously and examined her appearance under the dim light.

Noah first noticed her eyes.

Her golden irises sparkled like topaz in the dim room, emitting a strange light.

Noah was sure she wasn’t wearing makeup, but she could feel a faint red eyeshadow on the corners of her eyes.

Noah raised her hand to touch her lips.

Her plump lips seemed to have light pink lipstick on them, but it was actually just their natural color.

Her silver-white hair was messily draped down to her waist, like a spirit from a painting.

Noah never expected her appearance to be so breathtaking, and for a moment she was mesmerized.

Involuntarily, Noah wanted to reach out and touch herself in the mirror, but Ouluola’s voice came from behind, so she stopped quickly.

“Hehe, what’s wrong, gorgeous? Are you captivated by yourself?”

Ouluola teased from behind Noah.

Noah coughed awkwardly, pretending nothing happened.

“Ah, no… I was just checking if there was dust on my face…”

“Alright, alright, I understand~”

Ouluola clearly didn’t believe Noah’s excuse.

She winked at Noah.

“Lucky I’m not into Yuri, or I’d definitely pin you down~”

Noah didn’t understand what Yuri meant, but Ouluola didn’t intend to explain.

The two searched the room for over ten minutes and only found a wrench and a removed metal pipe.

“So… are these two things really useful?”

Noah looked at the items they found with some doubt.

“I don’t really trust his conversion ability. Maybe we should search other rooms?”

Ouluola shook her head.

“No need. This corpse is just experiencing last radiance. It’s already the limit to convert one more weapon.”

With that, Ouluola placed the wrench and pipe on the corpse’s two hands respectively.

The conversion ability turned the wrench into an automatic pistol and the pipe into a silencer component.

Noah watched the metal slowly melt and reform, clicking her tongue in admiration.

“What an amazing ability…”

Ouluola assembled the automatic pistol and silencer, then took out the magazine.

Ten bullets.

She nodded and handed the pistol to Noah without hesitation.

Noah was a bit surprised.

She pointed at herself.

“For me? Don’t you need it yourself?”

Now both of them were essentially unarmed.

Whoever held this pistol would have the upper hand in their interactions.

But Ouluola directly gave that initiative to Noah, which surprised her.

“Ah, what else?”

Ouluola lifted her robe and said matter-of-factly, “Do you think I look like someone who can use a firearm in this outfit?”

Noah took the pistol and fiddled with it.

“Then how do you know I can use a firearm?”

“You’re still better than me, right?”

Ouluola said as she walked out of room A0135.

Noah didn’t think she was much better than Ouluola.

In her memory, she had never used such a thing.

Ouluola led Noah to search a few other rooms with supplies, finding a wearable outfit and a military knife for Noah.

Noah adjusted the camouflage uniform while walking out of the room.

Ouluola, waiting outside, turned to look at her, then smiled and shook her head.

This series of actions made Noah uncomfortable.

She asked with confusion, “What’s wrong? Why are you looking at me like that?”

“Tsk tsk…”

Ouluola clicked her tongue and commented.

“Why do you have such a bewitching face but such a flat chest? Not even a bit of curve?”

Noah stopped adjusting her clothes and barely held back from punching Ouluola in the face.

She replied irritably, “How would I know? It’s not like I have any say in it!”

Noah subconsciously felt that before her memory loss, she must have also been concerned about her chest…

Ouluola looked down at her own round chest and smiled contentedly.

“Hmm, looks like the Creator God is fair after all~”

Noah rolled her eyes and decided not to take the bait.

Getting tangled up in this issue would only put her at a disadvantage.

While familiarizing herself with the pistol’s structure, she said to Ouluola, “Lead the way. Let’s get down to business.”

What was the business?

Of course, it was to leave this damn place.

Noah had rescued Ouluola from the room, and in return, Ouluola needed to lead Noah out.

Now it was time to fulfill that promise.

Ouluola nodded.

“No problem, but you need to be mentally prepared. This path won’t be easy.”

Noah was startled and stopped her movements involuntarily.

“What do you mean?”

“Why do you think I was locked in that place?”

Hatred flickered in Ouluola’s eyes as she gritted her teeth.

“My former companions aren’t so easy to get along with… I’d rather never see them again…”

Noah thought about it for a moment and roughly understood what Ouluola had experienced.

It was probably a conflict within their team over resource distribution.

Locking Ouluola up was likely because they were former comrades and didn’t want to kill her.

What else could it be?

With that thought, Noah sighed slightly.

She patted Ouluola’s shoulder and said in a comforting tone, “It’s all in the past. The most important thing now is to get out of here. Lead the way.”

Ouluola turned back and quietly looked at Noah, but said nothing.

She nodded, then stepped forward.

They passed through an office area.

It was clear that this was where the researchers used to exchange results, but now there was no one.

Various small instruments and documents were scattered messily on the floor, presumably left behind during the evacuation.

Noah picked up a few sheets.

She recognized every character on them, but together they were completely incomprehensible.

Noah sighed.

Seeing that Ouluola, who was leading the way, didn’t intend to stop, she simply dropped the documents and followed.

Passing through the office area, they arrived at the storage area of the research institute.

One after another, small containers were piled up haphazardly, as if long abandoned.

They worked together to open a few unopened containers, only to find them empty.

Noah wanted to search further, trying to find some useful supplies among the piles, but as soon as she stepped forward, Ouluola stopped her.

Noah turned to look at Ouluola’s serious expression.

Just as she was about to ask, Ouluola immediately put a finger to her lips and said in a low voice,

“Don’t make a sound… someone’s coming…”
