“So you don’t believe me.”
The voice from the throne seemed to see through Lilisi’s thoughts.
“That’s understandable. After all, you haven’t seen it with your own eyes.”
“Let me tell you, Lilisi. The records in the kingdom’s history books were not exaggerated—on the contrary, they fell far short. That was just a fragment recorded by those humans with their narrow perspectives back then.”
“You simply cannot imagine how absurd she was back then.”
“Even though she can only use support magic now, she is absolutely not someone you can oppose.”
The Demon King seemed to think of something amusing, and a hint of laughter crept into her voice.
“I have witnessed with my own eyes her staying awake for three days and three nights researching a single spell. I have also seen her, to verify a theory, enter a dragon’s lair alone and torment that arrogant adult red dragon repeatedly like a test subject.”
“She once turned the most powerful magic empire upside down in order to seize a magical material. In the end, under the siege of an army of ten thousand, she walked away without a scratch, swaggering off.”
“Her Codex records thousands of unheard-of spells and BUFFs. Her fighting style is utterly undisciplined, yet so powerful it drives one to despair.”
“In front of her, any so-called rules and common sense are null and void.”
“She is a complete, unreasonable… lunatic.”
Lilisi listened, stunned.
‘Is this… is this something a human could do?’
‘This is more demon than even the Demon Race!’
“Later, she ascended to godhood and left this world.”
“I too slept for several hundred years, until I was awakened by you juniors and inexplicably became the Demon King.”
“I thought this world would become incredibly boring.”
“Who would have thought… she actually came back.”
The voice from the throne was filled with delight and anticipation.
“A deity who can only rely on support skills.”
“A freshly reincarnated Level 1 Hero who knows nothing.”
“Heh… such a combination to oppose me?”
“This is simply… too interesting!”
The mass of darkness shrouding the throne began to slowly contract and condense.
A petite figure gradually emerged from the darkness.
Lilisi held her breath. She knew she was about to witness the true visage of this supreme monarch who had ruled the Demon Race for three hundred years.
The first thing to appear was a pair of slender legs wearing black leather boots.
Upward, a black Gothic dress hem trimmed with lace.
Further up, a slender waist that one could encircle with one hand, and a slightly plump chest that did not match her petite frame.
Finally, when the darkness fully dissipated, a face as exquisite as a doll appeared in Lilisi’s sight.
Milk-white long hair cascaded down to her waist like a waterfall.
Blood-red eyes, like two purest rubies, yet so deep they seemed to devour everything.
Her skin was so pale it was nearly translucent, as if she had not seen sunlight for years.
The corners of her mouth were slightly lifted in a smile that was both innocent and cruel.
—Dorothy Holmes.
‘This… is the Demon King?’
‘A milk-white-haired loli who looked only twelve or thirteen, unreasonably cute…?’
Lilisi was completely dumbfounded.
She had imagined countless forms of the Demon King: a dignified monarch, a ferocious beast, even an intangible shadow.
But she never expected it to be such a… harmless-looking appearance.
If she hadn’t personally felt that suffocating pressure, she would definitely have thought that the little girl before her was just a young lady from a human noble family who ran away from home and liked to play cosplay.
“What? Scared by my appearance?”
Dorothy tilted her head, her blood-red eyes looking at Lilisi with interest.
“No… I wouldn’t dare!” Lilisi shuddered, hastily lowered her head, and trembled even more.
Contrast. The enormous contrast brought unparalleled fear.
“Alright, stop kneeling. Get up.”
Dorothy jumped down from the bone throne, barefoot, stepping on the cold obsidian floor, and walked step by step to Lilisi.
She reached out a hand and gently lifted Lilisi’s chin.
“I am going to meet my old friend. You will put on a play with me, and then you can return here. I will temporarily entrust all matters to you.”
“Remember, without my orders, do not act rashly.”
“Especially… do not disturb my game with her.”
Dorothy’s fingers were ice-cold, making Lilisi feel as if her very soul was freezing.
“Yes… Lord Demon King!” Lilisi forced those words out of her throat with all her strength.
“Hmm, that’s a good girl.”
Dorothy smiled in satisfaction and withdrew her hand.
She turned around and, barefoot, walked step by step toward the hall’s entrance. That petite back, in the empty hall, appeared especially lonely yet filled with an indescribable pressure.
“Oh, and Lilisi.”
When she reached the door, Dorothy suddenly stopped, turned back, and a sly glint flashed in her blood-red eyes.
“Tell me, if I were to tear apart her mother, the Hero, piece by piece… right in front of her.”
“What kind of expression do you think she would make?”
“I… am really starting to look forward to it.”
With those words, Dorothy’s figure vanished at the hall’s entrance, leaving only a string of silver-bell-like laughter, and Lilisi, standing frozen, cold all over.

The border, Tattle Town.
Golden Rose Inn, bathroom.
“Hurry, Prim, help her to the edge of the pool.”
Lin Naiyue and Primrose frantically dragged the unconscious Cecilia to the edge of the bath.
Primrose placed Cecilia on her own lap, laying her flat to stop the nosebleed.
She looked at Cecilia’s face, pale with a strange flush, and the two dried bloodstains under her nostrils, feeling terribly troubled.
It wasn’t that it was hard to treat, but she needed to find a way to get Cecilia used to her. She couldn’t just faint from a nosebleed every time there was a little skin contact.
“What… what to do? Should we call a doctor?” Lin Naiyue asked worriedly.
“Mom, this is another world. Doctors are called priests. As it happens, I know a little priest magic.”
“She probably just got too emotional and had a rush of blood. It’s not a big problem.”
As Primrose spoke, she extended a finger, and a soft white light glowed at its tip.
She gently pressed her finger to Cecilia’s forehead.
This was the most basic Healing Spell from the Sage’s Codex. Though not very useful, it was more than enough for a minor issue like a nosebleed.
The soft white light flowed slowly from her fingertip into Cecilia’s body.
Almost instantly, Cecilia’s face returned to normal, and her breathing became steady.
“Hmm…”
Cecilia let out a soft moan, her long eyelashes fluttered a few times, and she slowly opened her eyes.
As soon as she opened her eyes, she saw Primrose’s stunning face right in front of her.
‘Goddess…’
She opened her mouth to say something, but found herself being held by Primrose in a very intimate position, lying across her lap.
And from this angle, she could see exactly what the Goddess’s towel-wrapped… breasts!
Boom!
Cecilia’s mind exploded again.
She felt as if every pore on her body was emitting hot steam.
Sizzle!
Cecilia started another nosebleed and then fainted.
