“Wait, let’s switch topics.”

Primrose laughed it off, trying to brush past the subject.

‘No way. This is probably something Dorothy did last night.’

If they investigated and it actually led back to Dorothy, everyone here would be doomed.

“Huh?”

“Of course we need to investigate. This is so much fun~”

Consta was puzzled and about to ask something.

But Dorothy raised her hand, looking like someone who just wanted to watch the world burn.

Primrose turned to her stiffly.

She found Dorothy smiling back at her.

Consta paused and continued. “I found it suspicious, so I personally led a team to investigate the scene.”

“And I found that the Magic Factor Density in the air was abnormally high.”

Consta finished.

“Magic Factor Density?” Lin Naiyue didn’t understand these technical terms and looked curious.

Consta explained, “Lord Hero, Magic Factor is the basis for casting magic.”

“Normally, the Magic Factor in the air is at a natural level.”

“Only after a powerful magic spell is cast do large amounts of Magic Factor gather in the air and linger for a long time.”

“The Magic Factor Density at that logging site was terrifyingly high.”

“That means a very intense magical battle occurred there, or… some ultra-high-level magic was activated in that area.”

“Also,” Consta furrowed her brow, “I had people search the logging site and its surroundings inside and out several times. We found nothing.”

“No blood, no bodies.”

“It was as if those two people had vanished into thin air.”

“Combined with the abnormal Magic Factor, I deduced that the two are likely dead, and died without leaving a trace.”

‘Who else but Dorothy could do that?’

“Understood, Goddess.” Consta nodded.

The carriage continued on.

Although it was called a carriage, the ones pulling it weren’t horses.

They were two mid-level monsters—Wind Wolves.

Aiwei guided the two tamed Wind Wolves, leading the way, and the carriage rode steadily over the cobblestone road.

Monsters weren’t just toys for the demon race; they could also be good companions for humans.

Consta began to brief them on the upcoming speech.

“Goddess, Lord Hero.”

Consta’s tone became formal. “In front of the Lord’s Mansion is Tattle Town’s Central Square—the largest open space in the whole town.”

“I’ve already had my men set up a platform right in the middle of the square.”

“By now, all the townspeople should have gathered in the square.”

Hearing this, Lin Naiyue suddenly became nervous.

“Do I really have to speak in front of so many people?”

Lin Naiyue asked in a small voice. “I… I don’t know what to say.”

“Back when I spoke at Prim’s parent-teacher meetings, I got nervous…”

Consta was caught off guard for a moment.

“Mom, don’t be nervous.”

“You don’t need to say anything. Just stand there.”

Primrose held her mother’s hand and comforted her.

‘Lord Hero is actually the Goddess’s mother?!’

Primrose turned around and saw her expression.

“Forgot to mention. As you can see, the Hero is my mother.”

Primrose decided she might as well stop hiding it, since it had already been exposed to so many people.

Cecilia, Yuna, Dorothy—now Consta wasn’t any different.

“What?!” Aiwei, who was driving the carriage, also heard.

The shout fell, and the carriage nearly went off track and tipped over.

“Aiwei, watch out!” Consta quickly called out to warn.

“S-Sorry!” Aiwei’s voice came from outside the carriage.
