“Cough, cough, cough, cough!”
Louise was so embarrassed that even her dragon horns seemed to flush red.
She guiltily stuffed the phone into her cleavage, desperately trying to change the subject.
“Cough! We’ll talk about that later! But—”
Louise took a deep breath.
When she lowered her eyelids again, her golden vertical pupils narrowed slightly.
Her tone was gentle, yet carried an unquestionable firmness:
“Louise-chan still needs to go check what exactly you’ve hidden in the basement.”
“Aunt Louise! No!!”
Kanzaki Yoruha’s expression changed drastically.
A layer of fine cold sweat instantly glued her silk shirt tightly to her back.
She reflexively lunged forward and grabbed Louise’s sleeve in a death grip.
Louise stopped in her tracks and turned her head slightly.
Looking at the small hand clutching her sleeve and trembling faintly, her charming golden vertical pupils curved into two crescents:
“If Little Yoruha wants Louise-chan not to look, then you have to give Louise-chan a good reason not to look~”
Kanzaki Yoruha gritted her back teeth hard, forcing the words out through clenched jaws: “…I’ve grown up. I have my own secrets. Please—”
“Mm-hmm, you’ve grown up.”
“Please— Please, Aunt Louise, I beg you—”
“Mm-hmm— Then why don’t you tell Auntie what exactly you’re hiding?”
Kanzaki Yoruha opened her mouth: “…”
She couldn’t say it.
Louise sighed, extending a hand in a pure white glove and gently prying open Kanzaki Yoruha’s tightly clenched fingers one by one.
Then she took the initiative to hold that small, cold hand and patted it reassuringly:
“Be good. As long as it’s not something too excessive, Louise-chan absolutely won’t tell Chiaki or Orange.”
With that, she turned around, her high heels clicking as she swayed gracefully toward the direction leading to the bedroom and basement.
Kanzaki Yoruha stood frozen in place, her face ashen.
Her legs felt as heavy as if filled with lead.
She could only follow behind like a prisoner awaiting judgment.
It’s over!
***
Louise walked ahead.
When she reached the middle of the corridor, her nose suddenly twitched twice.
“Oh?”
Her golden dragon pupils narrowed slightly, and the smile on her lips deepened instantly.
“…It’s the scent of a Witch.”
Without any hesitation, she bypassed the bedroom and walked straight toward the hidden wall that concealed the basement entrance.
Click.
The mechanism was triggered precisely, and the secret door slid open slowly.
Kanzaki Yoruha stood behind her, her face finally showing an almost childlike pleading expression.
But Louise didn’t look back.
Humming a light tune, she strolled leisurely into the dim basement, heading straight for the wardrobe in the corner.
She pulled open the door and dragged out the huge black suitcase with one hand.
Ziiip—
The sound of the metal zipper being slowly pulled open was infinitely amplified in the deathly silent basement.
The moment the suitcase opened, the glaring white light poured down like a sword.
Su Ruanruan’s miserable appearance—clothes disheveled, eyes red-rimmed, face covered in tear stains, bound tightly and curled into a ball—was completely exposed under the bright light.
“Ah—”
Louise cupped her cheeks with both hands and let out a sincere exclamation: “Oh my goodness, what a beautiful little thing…”
Then she turned back to look at Kanzaki Yoruha, her eyes sparkling with delight:
“Yoruha, is this why you were hiding things from Louise-chan?”
Kanzaki Yoruha’s expression stiffened to the extreme.
Faced with this ironclad evidence of being caught red-handed, she didn’t argue or explain.
She closed her eyes, resigned herself to her fate, and gave a slight nod like someone confessing a crime:
“…I caught her.”
Su Ruanruan trembled as she quietly opened her tear-filled red eyes.
What came into view wasn’t Kanzaki Yoruha’s cold face, but a mature woman wearing a black-and-white maid outfit.
From Su Ruanruan’s perspective, the woman before her seemed to radiate a holy, motherly glow.
Meanwhile, the hateful Kanzaki Yoruha standing two steps away had her head lowered deeply, her shoulders trembling slightly—like a child who had been caught red-handed by a parent and was waiting for severe punishment.
“Mmmph! Mmmph!”
Su Ruanruan twisted her body desperately, throwing extremely pitiful, pleading looks at this beautiful and sexy Dragon Maid Witch sister.
“Oh dear, you poor child.”
Louise squatted down with eyes full of distress.
She reached out with her slender fingers and gently removed the saliva-soaked white knee-high sock from Su Ruanruan’s mouth.
The moment her mouth was free, Su Ruanruan immediately began to accuse her in a tearful, hoarse voice:
“Save me! She not only pretended to be my friend to trick me into taking a high-interest loan, she kidnapped me, beat me, and just now… she even forcibly kissed me and tried to throw me on the bed to take off my clothes! Please, take me away!”
Louise didn’t answer immediately.
Instead, she gently placed her palm on the back of Su Ruanruan’s head and stroked her messy silver hair again and again, murmuring softly, “It’s okay now, it’s okay… Good child, don’t be afraid…”
In this embrace full of maternal warmth, Su Ruanruan subconsciously grabbed the fabric of Louise’s maid outfit at her chest and buried her tear-stained face deep into that warm, soft valley.
Tears flowed silently, soaking the pure white fabric.
In that overwhelming sense of security, Su Ruanruan parted her lips slightly, her eyes empty and dazed.
As if falling into a dream, she whispered in an extremely weak, somewhat absent-minded voice:
“Mommy…”
The moment this soft murmur left her lips, Su Ruanruan jolted awake from her brief trance.
Her pale cheeks instantly flushed bright red with embarrassment.
Louise, however, didn’t mind at all.
She let out a string of charming, bone-melting laughter.
With her gloved index finger, she affectionately tapped Su Ruanruan’s little nose and cooed gently with a smile:
“That’s right~ I’m Mommy~ Has my good child been wronged? Don’t be afraid. You can rely on Mommy as much as you want. I’ll protect you.”
This gentle promise acted like a shot of confidence.
Su Ruanruan gained courage immediately.
She poked half her head out from Louise’s warm embrace.
A flash of vengeful delight appeared in her eyes as she shot an extremely smug and unrestrained glance at the ashen-faced Kanzaki Yoruha beside them.
Kanzaki Yoruha closed her eyes, bracing herself for the expected scolding.
However.
Louise slowly stood up.
Not only did she not get angry, she opened her arms and pulled the stiff Kanzaki Yoruha into a tight hug against her ample bosom.
“Mmph…”
Kanzaki Yoruha was caught off guard and smothered in softness.
Louise buried her face in Kanzaki Yoruha’s black hair.
Her voice actually carried a hint of relieved, motherly laughter:
“Auntie knew it—our little Yoruha would grow up one day~”
Kanzaki Yoruha froze completely in Louise’s embrace.
Her brain short-circuited in that instant.
She widened her eyes in disbelief.
Louise… wasn’t angry? She was actually praising her?!
Meanwhile, Su Ruanruan, who had been lying in the suitcase looking smug and ready to watch the show just a second ago, had her expression freeze solid.
She stared blankly at the two people embracing, and a deeper, stickier, more suffocating sense of despair crawled up her spine like an ice-cold snake.
