Everyone watched as Noah approached the console, looking as if she was about to put her hand on the screen.
The Primordial Organization members didn’t understand her intention.
Only Naya furrowed his brow.
Everyone watched as Noah pressed her entire palm against the screen and then gently pushed it.
[Fingerprint verification successful, Central Control Room door is now open.]
The whole place erupted in commotion.
No one thought Noah’s fingerprint could open the facility’s equipment unless she was originally a member of the Truth Organization.
But everyone here knew that the person before them was the Vice Leader of the Primordial Organization, Lady Gehelos.
They exchanged glances.
Finally, Naya broke the stalemate.
He stared at the console in the control room and asked in a suspicious tone.
“Dear… why do you have permission to use the equipment here…?”
Noah blinked and opened her mouth to speak, but Xin came over from the side and slapped Naya hard on the back.
She carried her greatsword over her shoulder and said in a dismissive tone, “Tch, why bother with all that? We can get out, that’s enough. You want to live here forever? Come on, come on, hurry up!”
Xin’s words brought everyone back to reality.
Most of the Primordial Organization members thought Xin made sense.
Everyone turned their gaze to Naya, waiting for him to announce the next step.
Naya sighed helplessly.
He also knew this was not the time to get to the bottom of things.
Under everyone’s gaze, he could only begin to explain the next step.
“Everyone, we have now occupied the Central Control Room of Zone C, but the core area of Zone C is not here; it is at the junction of Zones C and D. Currently, we cannot determine if the previous battle alerted the Chief Administrator of Zone C, so we must act cautiously and try not to let the leader of the New Truth Organization notice.”
“Chief Administrator? Wasn’t that big dummy just now the administrator?” Xin asked doubtfully.
“No.” Naya replied immediately.
“The Chief Administrator of Zone C is called [Kerman], a butcher through and through. We’ve clashed with him before. He looks extremely thin, but in fact his close combat ability is unmatched. We can’t turn invisible now, so try to avoid him and don’t confront him head-on.”
Xin didn’t care who the Chief Administrator was at first, but after hearing the name, she froze.
She frowned and asked again in disbelief, “Who? What did you say his name was?”
“Kerman, wears glasses, looks like a skinny monkey.” Naya glanced at Xin.
“You know him?”
“Know him… I know him too well. When I underwent the modification, this person was my lead surgeon…!”
The others on site didn’t understand what Xin meant, except Noah, who was startled.
She had heard Xin talk about the torture she had endured and remembered it vividly.
If this Kerman was the perpetrator, Xin might go crazy and lose control when she saw him.
Thinking this, Noah quickly came to Naya’s side.
She poked his waist and said in a low voice, “Chief, I think you should prepare in advance. I guarantee the commotion later will be even bigger than occupying the Central Control Room.”
Naya glanced at her suspiciously. “What do you mean?”
Noah quickly explained Xin’s situation.
Naya was also startled.
He knew that given Xin’s temperament, the fact that she could still restrain herself from charging over was already very considerate of the overall plan.
He quickly went to Xin’s side and persuaded her, “Miss Xin… I know you have a grudge against this Kerman, but I still advise you to calm down. Our ultimate goal is to leave this place. If the situation gets out of control now, we’ll never complete this plan. So no matter what, you must stay calm. Okay?”
Although Xin gnashed her teeth just thinking about that person, she didn’t lose her composure in the end.
She nodded and replied in a low voice, “Don’t worry… I’m not as impulsive as you think… I won’t be stupid enough to involve everyone else…”
Naya still found it hard to believe.
He wiped his cold sweat and asked, “Can you really do it? …Maybe you should take it slow?”
Xin raised her head and shot a sideways glance at Naya.
She ground her teeth and said, “Fine! Then I’ll go chop him to pieces right now!”
“Please don’t! Please don’t! I believe you, okay?” Naya managed to calm Xin down and then went back to Noah’s side.
Noah was currently shuffling the cards.
She was about to start a divination to gather more information.
Seeing this, the Primordial Organization members also gathered around.
Noah spread the deck and drew a card, [The Fool].
She placed the card right-side up on the table and recited aloud.
“Number 0, [The Fool]!”
As it is the beginning, as it is the end.
The Authority of Divination activated.
A gorgeous starry sky enveloped the entire control room.
A person in a white coat appeared in the vision.
He was lowering his head, using a scalpel to cut a forearm on the table.
The arm seemed freshly severed, bloody, and the muscles were even still twitching.
A Primordial Organization member looked at the person in the vision and asked, “What’s he doing? Surgery?”
“He’s eating,” Xin replied expressionlessly.
“Ah…?”
When Naya said this person was a through-and-through butcher, Noah didn’t feel much.
But after seeing Kerman cutting raw human flesh like steak, she finally understood what Naya meant.
She watched Kerman put a slice of meat into his mouth, chewing while blood dripped from the corner of his mouth.
Noah felt nauseous.
She glanced at Xin and asked, “He’s Kerman?”
After seeing Xin nod in confirmation, Noah made a wry face. “Oh… well, he has a good appetite…”
Noah waved her hand to dispel the Starry Reflection and said to everyone, “Everyone, according to the divination results, we can know that this Kerman hasn’t noticed anything abnormal in the Central Control Room yet. But we can’t hold out here for long. After all, the New Truth Organization suddenly lost so many people; they’ll discover the problem sooner or later. We need to act quickly. Delay will lead to changes!”
“So, what should we do? Take a different route to bypass him?” asked a Primordial Organization member.
“Don’t bother, we can’t bypass him.” Noah shook her head helplessly.
“This is why he guards the junction of Zones C and D. Because to go from Zone C to Zone D, there is only this one path. He has a large number of modified soldiers blocking the entire route. That means, besides assassination and direct assault, we have no other options.”
