Inside Jerwen’s office.
“You haven’t been going to the school’s public training room much lately?”
Teacher Jerwen sat on his chair, staring straight at Lorevil.
Lorevil noticed the accusatory tone and couldn’t help feeling nervous.
“Um…”
“Whatever the reason, just remember: if you miss this period of bloodline activity, you’ll regret it.”
Teacher Jerwen interrupted her.
Lorevil remained silent.
She really hadn’t taken bloodline training to heart.
After all, she had many things to deal with.
“It seems you’re not ready yet. I won’t force you.”
Teacher Jerwen sighed and said.
After hearing this, Lorevil felt a surge of guilt.
After all, Jerwen had truly helped her.
“Teacher, I’ve decided. I will train hard.”
Lorevil said firmly.
“With your attitude of working in fits and starts, how can you expect to make progress?”
Teacher Jerwen’s face remained expressionless despite her words.
“Teacher, I know I was wrong before. I’ll change, really.”
Lorevil grew anxious.
“Alright.”
Teacher Jerwen hesitated for a moment, then quickly pulled out his Communication Blood Crystal.
“Hello, is this the vice principal? Ah, I’m Jerwen, the homeroom teacher for Class 2-2. It’s like this…”
“Okay, I understand.”
“What?”
After Teacher Catherine ended the call, Teacher Jerwen said to Lorevil:
“I’ve already applied for a private training room and a special scholarship for you.”
“How can I accept this?”
Lorevil said, a bit flustered.
The academy’s public training room was only open for two hours in the morning, and not at other times.
Private training rooms required an application to use.
“But this isn’t free.”
Teacher Jerwen paused for a moment, then continued:
“You need to advance to Third Order Mid-stage within a month, and rank in the top 150 in the Blood Hunting Ground points by the end of the semester, to enjoy these benefits.”
“Forget the special scholarship.”
Lorevil shook her head and refused.
“Lorevil, what are you thinking? Holy Blood Academy doesn’t distinguish between commoners and nobles. It only looks at strength. Survival of the fittest is the iron law here.”
Teacher Jerwen frowned as he asked.
“The resources you get depend entirely on the value you create.”
“I know, but I already have a monthly allowance of 100,000 blood coins.”
Lorevil scratched her head and explained.
“100,000? The special scholarship is 500,000.”
Teacher Jerwen said with a tone of frustration at her lack of ambition.
Lorevil gave an embarrassed smile.
“Then… then…”
“Then what?”
“I’ll definitely do it.”
Lorevil gritted her teeth and said.
Teacher Jerwen nodded in satisfaction.
“Good. Once you reach Third Order Peak, I’ll help you apply for access to the Holy Blood Tower.”
Lorevil was speechless.
She felt like she’d been tricked.
But since she’d already agreed to the teacher, she would just have to grit her teeth and continue.
Before she left, Teacher Jerwen suddenly called out to Lorevil.
“Wait, one more thing.”
Lorevil looked back in confusion.
“Restrain your desires and focus on training.”
“With your talent, your future shouldn’t stop at Third Order.”
The girl could only nod awkwardly.
After watching Lorevil leave, Teacher Jerwen stroked his chin.
“It seems Teacher Catherine thinks the same as I do. There’s definitely something wrong. Lorevil is still too young.”
*
On the other side.
After returning to the classroom, Lorevil saw Fini sitting next to her seat, spacing out.
“Fini? School’s over. Why haven’t you left yet?”
Lorevil gently tapped Fini’s shoulder and asked.
Fini snapped back to reality, blinking like a startled fawn.
When she saw it was Lorevil, a faint blush rose on her cheeks.
“Lorevil, I was waiting for you to go eat together.”
Fini said shyly.
“I know Teacher Jerwen called you away. I was afraid you’d come back and not find anyone, so I waited here.”
Lorevil smiled slightly, took Fini’s hand, and walked out of the classroom toward the cafeteria.
They chatted and laughed along the way.
“Let’s go, then. I’m hungry too.”
“By the way, Lorevil, what did Teacher Jerwen want?”
Fini suddenly asked curiously.
“Nothing much. He just helped me apply for a scholarship and a private training room.”
Lorevil said calmly.
“Wow, such a good thing happened. I’m so envious.”
Fini exclaimed in surprise.
She had been going to the public training room often lately, so she naturally knew it had abundant resources and many equipment.
Not to mention a specially applied private training room.
“Yeah, but the conditions are harsh. I have to be in the top 150 of the Blood Hunting Ground.”
Lorevil said helplessly.
“I see, no wonder. I’ve only just made it into the 400s.”
Fini said with a twitch at the corner of her mouth.
“Lorevil, I have something to do. I’ll go ahead. You go first.”
Suddenly, Fini seemed to see something, stopped, and said to Lorevil.
Without waiting for Lorevil’s response, she hurried off in another direction, as if avoiding something.
Lorevil was puzzled.
What was wrong with Fini?
Then she saw a slender figure with a cold expression walking toward her on the tree-lined path not far away.
Teacher Catherine wore the black-and-white academy uniform.
She was tall, with her silver hair neatly tied up at the back, revealing her slender, graceful neck.
She also wore a pair of black-rimmed glasses without lenses, giving her a very intellectual look.
Her ice-blue eyes behind the frames were fixed on Lorevil.
“Teacher Catherine?”
Lorevil’s lips moved in surprise.
She was somewhat taken aback.
Normally, Catherine should have just finished her practical combat class.
What did she mean by coming to find her?
“Mm.”
Catherine nodded coldly, her ice-blue eyes scrutinizing her suspiciously.
“Did something happen today?”
“Nothing. Teacher Jerwen just reminded me to train well.”
Lorevil was stunned by this comment.
Why was Teacher Catherine concerned about this?
“Nothing. Just asking casually.”
Catherine seemed to read Lorevil’s mind and explained again.
“Oh.”
Lorevil felt uncomfortable talking alone with Catherine, so she quickly changed the subject.
“Teacher Catherine, where are you going to eat later? Want to join me?”
As soon as the words left her mouth, Lorevil regretted them.
Earlier, it was because Vivian was there to lighten the mood, but she really wasn’t good at getting along with Catherine.
“Sure!”
Catherine thought for a moment, then agreed readily.
A glint of amusement flashed in her ice-blue eyes, then quickly disappeared.
“Um… the student nutritious meals in the academy cafeteria are really bad.”
The smile on Lorevil’s face stiffened for a moment, and she quickly tried to cover up.
Catherine’s leg trembled slightly.
Those familiar with her knew this was a sign that Catherine was angry.
“Are you saying you don’t want to eat with me?”
Catherine pushed up her black-rimmed glasses, her tone terrifyingly calm.
“No, I don’t.”
Lorevil looked at Catherine and sighed helplessly.
“Alright, it’s my fault. Let’s eat together.”
Catherine’s expression hardly ever changed, making it difficult for Lorevil to read her thoughts.
Even the Darkening health bar, Lorevil couldn’t see at all.
Upon hearing this, Catherine nodded in satisfaction.
This was the first time Lorevil had been so close to Catherine, so she subconsciously moved back a little.
But Catherine naturally took Lorevil’s hand and walked toward the cafeteria.
Catherine’s fingers were slightly cool, with a delicate touch, and carried a faint chill.
“This isn’t really appropriate.”
Lorevil’s cheeks immediately burned, her palms sweaty, and she subconsciously tried to pull her hand back.
She noticed the strange looks from the surrounding students, and some girls’ faces clearly showed gossipy expressions.
Lorevil’s own stunning beauty was already enough to attract attention.
Not to mention the ice beauty Catherine actively holding her hand.
The turn rate was practically 100%.
Even though Noxia wouldn’t come to Holy Blood Academy, she still didn’t want to cause unnecessary trouble.
After all, Catherine’s identity was too sensitive.
Catherine sensed Lorevil’s embarrassment and didn’t force it.
“Since you don’t like it, never mind.”
With that, she let go of her hand, but a faint trace of disappointment flashed in her eyes.
Lorevil let out a long breath and was about to walk toward the cafeteria.
But she was blocked by an arrogant and domineering figure.
“Hey, you there! Move out of the way!”
