“Where’s Xiao An?”
“In your room fighting zombies.”
Chu Jiuer untied her apron and began cleaning up the kitchen.
“Didn’t you say he’s also your little brother? Aren’t you going to manage him?”
“Xiao An has already suffered for a whole week. Just let him play for a while.”
Chu Jiuer’s educational philosophy was completely different from Li Jue’s.
“It’s a good thing you weren’t the one who picked him up.”
Li Jue shook her head, turned, and returned to the room.
Seeing her come in, Ying An subconsciously felt guilty and released his hands, sitting up perfectly straight.
“I only played for a little while.”
“First come out and eat. Taste your Sister Jiuer’s cooking.”
Sitting at the dining table, Chu Jiuer looked very excited, as if she could not wait to hear their evaluation.
Li Jue first tasted a bit of everything and said lightly, “At least this time the rice was cooked through.”
“Then what about the dishes? Are they not tasty?”
Li Jue smiled meaningfully and turned to look at Ying An, who wore a bitter expression. “Xiao An, you say. How does it taste?”
Ying An tasted everything, then put down his chopsticks.
His expression looked very disappointed.
Although he had swallowed the few mouthfuls he had eaten, the evaluation was already written on his face—like a little white rabbit that had been used by a big black bear to wipe its bottom.
He looked at Li Jue. “Sister, why is your expression so calm?”
“As expected. Sister is already used to it.”
Hearing their strange evaluations, Chu Jiuer unconvinced herself took a bite, then… could not hold it in and spat it out.
She and Ying An stared at each other.
Li Jue, however, calmly continued eating.
“Xiao An, go play for a while first. Later Sister will make you a bowl of noodles.”
Hearing this, Chu Jiuer also wanted to put down her chopsticks and take the chance to withdraw from the table, but was glared at fiercely by Li Jue and could only shrink back in disappointment.
“Then what about you two?” Ying An asked.
“In the end it’s all food. We can’t waste it.”
“Then I want to eat together too. We can’t waste it.” Ying An picked up his chopsticks again.
Looking at their reactions, Chu Jiuer apologized very awkwardly. “Sorry, Xiao An.”
“It’s okay. Sister Jiuer doesn’t need to apologize. Actually it’s still pretty tasty.”
But Chu Jiuer had already tasted it herself—how could she not know how bad it was?
She had not expected to be comforted by a teenage boy, and her heart could not help being moved.
“If you make it too bland, I can still put it back in the pan and process it a bit.”
“Got it. Next time I’ll put less salt and soy sauce.” Chu Jiuer listlessly nodded.
“It’s fine. Sister Jiuer already did very well.” Ying An reached out and stroked Chu Jiuer’s head, still comforting her with his words.
She lifted her eyes and blankly looked at Ying An.
She, a thousand-year great demon, being comforted by a human teenage boy who stroked her head—this feeling was quite the contrast, yet also… pretty nice.
After finishing the meal, Chu Jiuer and Ying An watched television.
Li Jue finished washing the dishes, came out of the kitchen, and asked her, “Are you sleeping here tonight?”
“Is it okay?”
“Then you sleep in Xiao An’s room. Xiao An will share a room with me.”
“I also want to sleep together with Xiao An.”
When Chu Jiuer said this she still wanted to hug Ying An and bind herself to him, but thinking of the foxfire in Li Jue’s hand, she still put away such thoughts.
“You staying here is already enough of a light bulb. Restrain yourself a little.”
“Sister, what does ‘light bulb’ mean?” Ying An asked in confusion.
“It means a person who gets in the way between a couple.” Li Jue answered.
“Cou… couple?!”
“See, Xiao An hasn’t even admitted it.” Chu Jiuer hurriedly took the chance to clear her own name.
Ying An lowered his head with slightly reddened cheeks.
Li Jue also did not want to bicker with Chu Jiuer and directly went over to take his hand. “Xiao An, it’s time to go to sleep.”
Ying An lifted his head and blankly looked at her. “But it’s only nine o’clock now.”
“Exactly, exactly. You’re just plotting something improper against Xiao An.” Chu Jiuer firmly stood on the opposite side of Li Jue.
“Aren’t you going to play Plants vs. Zombies anymore? Then Sister is going to sleep.”
“I’ll play, I’ll play. Thank you, Sister.”
Ying An instantly became excited, stood up, and left with Li Jue.
She crooked the corners of her eyes and provocatively glanced at Chu Jiuer. “Remember to turn off the living room lights before sleeping. Good night.”
Chu Jiuer puffed her cheeks angrily and watched Li Jue take Ying An’s hand and walk into the bedroom.
This scene inexplicably made her think of the green-hat plots she had seen in certain comics—the rightful owner watching with open eyes as the female lead was taken away by the blond, only able to shrink in place and powerlessly resent herself.
Although if one really calculated it, Li Jue and Ying An were the original pair, and she should be the blond.
***
“You can only play until ten o’clock.”
Hearing Li Jue’s reminder, Ying An glanced at the time in the lower right corner of the screen. “It’s already nine-eleven now.”
“That’s perfect. Today I’ve already let you play for a full two and a half hours.”
“Sis…”
He turned his head and was just about to plead for himself when he saw that Li Jue was changing into pajamas.
She had taken off her previous clothes, revealing a fair, slender willow waist and a pair of beautiful shoulder blades.
Her skin, which rivaled frost and snow, seemed to be coated with a thin layer of wax.
The black bra straps clung to her back, and even from behind one could still vaguely see that full, plump roundness.
“Why didn’t you tell me when you were changing clothes?”
“What’s there to say? Hasn’t Sister also seen all of you?” Li Jue wore a completely unconcerned attitude.
After changing into pajamas, Ying An had already turned his head away, yet the game on the screen was still in a paused state.
“Why aren’t you playing anymore? Time is precious, you know~”
She hugged Ying An’s neck from behind.
A faint, secluded fragrance lingered at the tip of the boy’s nose.
One hand carelessly slipped into his clothes and lightly scratched at his chest.
“Are you… still recalling the way Sister looked while changing clothes just now?”
“I wasn’t…” His voice was fine and small, completely unconvincing.
“Xiao An, who do you think has the better figure between Sister and Jiuer?”
“Sis… Sister.”
“Oh my, that means Xiao An has seen Jiuer’s body?”
She lightly bit Ying An’s earlobe, watching the flush on the boy’s face deepen little by little.
A fierce and malicious desire uncontrollably spread through Li Jue’s heart, like a virus that infected extremely quickly, instantly eroding the blood throughout her body.
I really want… to eat you.
“That’s not it. Sister, you’re framing me again.”
“Who told Xiao An to always fall for it so easily…”
Like a prey so naive to the extreme that even after being placed on the dining table it still did not understand its own situation.
If she casually used a bit of charm technique, who knew what would happen next—even if she… thoroughly cleaned him out.
“Xiao An.” Li Jue called his childhood name in a soft, doting voice.
In the next instant she suddenly kissed the boy’s lips.
Ying An blankly looked at her eyes, yet only allowed her actions.
“Sweet?”
“…Mm.” He avoided her gaze, at a complete loss.
“I guess that at this moment Xiao An’s heart must be thinking of some things that absolutely cannot be known by Sister, right?”
“No, I wasn’t thinking…” Ying An weakly defended himself.
“Really?”
Li Jue cupped Ying An’s face, the corners of her mouth curling upward, the arc of her eyes extremely charming.
“But Sister really wants to. Really wants to turn you into…”
“Turn… turn into what?”
“Guess.”
