Chapter 32: A Perilous Healing Process

“This… is a pill? But aren’t pills supposed to be ridiculously hard to make?!”

Lin Wuming stared at the milky-white bead in his hand, lost in thought.

Maybe it was just dumb luck?

Maybe he stumbled onto something that happened to work?

And… maybe this wasn’t even that difficult of a pill to begin with?

Unable to figure it out, Lin Wuming stopped wasting brainpower on it.

Whatever—it didn’t matter if this thing was technically a “pill” or not.

As long as the medicinal power was intact, that was all that really mattered.

He walked over to He Yingying, who had been waiting patiently, squatted in front of her, and brought the small pill to her lips.

He Yingying’s cheeks flushed pink, but she obediently opened her mouth to match his voice, the soft, bashful little “ah~” trembling slightly with girlish shyness.

“This stuff is precious—don’t you dare spit it out, got it?”

Lin Wuming’s expression grew serious.

He Yingying nodded, and immediately felt a wave of heat at her lips.

A warm, slightly hot object slid into her mouth.

Well, it was freshly refined—so of course it was a little warm.

The pill melted instantly, turning into a thick, warm liquid that slid smoothly down her throat.

“Mmph… it’s so sticky…”

He Yingying struggled a bit to swallow it down and spoke with her mouth half open.

“What do you know? Sticky medicine means it’s potent. Look—you’ve still got some left in your mouth. Swallow it all. Every last drop.”

“Oh…”

Shrinking her neck in embarrassment, He Yingying stuck out her tongue briefly, then rolled it back to swallow the rest of the liquid in her mouth.

And the moment she did—

Her entire expression changed.

A surge of powerful medicinal energy burst through her body, flooding her limbs and bones, then—as if receiving a command—rushed straight to her head.

The overwhelming energy made her dizzy—her head felt heavy, her thoughts sluggish.

Lin Wuming furrowed his brows.

He took off his shoes, climbed onto the bed, propped up her slumped body, and placed a hand on her back to check her pulse carefully.

After a moment, his expression darkened.

No good—just taking her pulse wasn’t telling him enough.

‘But how? That didn’t make sense.’

But the gaps in her meridians were far larger than he’d anticipated.

Soon, the spirit stone on his leg was drained dry.

Panicking, Lin Wuming grabbed another one and continued channeling.

But He Yingying’s body… was like a bottomless pit.

One… two… three spirit stones—gone in half an hour.

All seven of his remaining low-grade spirit stones were completely emptied.

His face turned pale with shock.

No time to hesitate—he pulled out a mid-grade spirit stone and resumed the transfer.

The rate at which the spiritual energy was consumed was frightening.

Only someone like Lin Wuming, with his ability to absorb and convert energy without resistance, could even pull this off.

If He Yingying or any other cultivator tried this… the flow would never keep up.
