Gris’s eyes nearly popped out of his head.

Even though he knew this colossal monster was just a projection from the duel arena, and would disappear if he walked further away, he couldn’t help but tremble.

“How could it have perfectly pulled out its main body?!”

“Even if you remove that filler card, ‘Gong-Oh,’ you still have at least ten other minions in your deck!”

A 1/1 copy summons this thing, and the minion it pulls out is this same thing?!

Even if he wasn’t good at math, he knew the probability of that happening was barely even five percent!

Gris instantly reacted, his gaze fixed on the girl standing opposite him.

“Besides Barnes and this ‘Thousand-Headed Demon,’ you didn’t bring any other minions?”

Gris immediately cursed out loud.

Playing control with a Fire deck was one thing.

But a Fire deck that barely even brings any minions?!

A disgrace to Fire types!

“Mr. Yide… so strong.”

Sonia also watched Yide, who was currently controlling her body and dominating the match.

Fourth turn, summoning a 10/10 minion.

Is this… is this still her deck?

Is this… Mr. Yide’s strength?

“Alright, it’s your turn now.”

Yide’s tone was calm: “I told you, I’d finish you in six turns.”

“There are still two turns left.”

Gris cursed inwardly.

Just a D-rank duelist!

How dare she be so arrogant in front of me!

The hulking man roared, drawing a card into his hand.

Looking at the card he drew, his movements suddenly paused, then he burst into laughter.

Yide raised an eyebrow.

Judging by that reaction, a perfect draw?

Gris pointed directly at the “Thousand-Headed Demon”: “Sacrifice one card, then, ‘Demon Manifestation,’ attack that tentacle monster!”

“Attacking directly?”

Sonia was a little surprised.

Isn’t that just giving it away for free?

The demon wrapped in purple lightning and the ancient god wielding tentacles, two giants of comparable size, clashed.

Although they fought fiercely, a six-star minion was ultimately no match for a ten-star minion.

Soon, with a muffled wail, the demon fell, dissipating into black mist.

Sonia’s face changed.

So that’s what he was planning!

“Mr. Yide, ‘Thousand-Headed Demon’ is in danger!”

“After being attacked by ‘Demon Manifestation,’ your ‘Thousand-Headed Demon’ only has two health left, and my ‘Summoned Demon’ has seven attack!”

Gris clenched his fist: “Perish in the corrosive raindrops, ‘Demonic Mist Rain’!”

Purple, misty raindrops fell, dissolving all the minions on Ide’s field.

Thousand-Headed Demon destroyed.

Opera Announcer Barnes destroyed.

“‘Demonic Mist Rain’s’ effect prevents our minions from attacking this turn.”

“But I couldn’t attack anyway, so I end my turn.”

Looking at the girl’s once again empty field, Gris lowered his head and let out an ominous laugh.

It was back to the state at the beginning of the fourth turn.

The difference was that his Demon Manifestation on the field had become Summoned Demon.

But that combo from earlier, there was no way this girl could pull it off a second time.

“Come on, let’s see how you’re going to fulfill your promise now.”

“Now your field is empty of minions. Let’s see how you’re going to defeat me on the sixth turn!”

“Mr. Yide…”

Sonia felt a pang of sympathy, seeing the situation reversed again.

To ensure that only the Thousand-Headed Demon was drawn, even Barnes could only be included as a single copy.

Gris frowned at this sight.

“What do you plan to do with a 1/1 piece of trash?”

Yide ignored Gris’s words.

The deck that inspired this one, in its previous incarnation, also faced the problem of struggling to follow up after a large monster was removed.

If it were that deck, the current situation would indeed be close to hopeless.

But this deck had one major difference from its previous incarnation.

The Thousand-Headed Demon wasn’t limited to just one copy!

And there was more than one way to summon it!
