At that moment, Mu Chuxian’s long hair whipped wildly in the wind, and a demonic crimson glow lit up her eyes.
Her graceful, alluring figure exuded a sharp, intimidating aura.
Her movements were light, yet powerful.
A fierce wind surged around her, instantly blowing away the dense ghostly mist that had shrouded the forest.
Even the clouds above split open slightly.
Moonlight poured down, illuminating Mu Chuxian’s face—like a dark moon angel, flawless and ethereal.
Su Nan, though suffering some yang energy depletion, surprisingly felt no discomfort, thanks to the ghost emperor’s aura now circulating within him from Mu Chuxian.
“Senior sister, you ambushed me!”
Su Nan looked at her with a warm smile and stepped forward, but she suddenly said…..
“Wait. It’s coming.”
Su Nan’s eyes instantly narrowed as he turned to look into the distance.
From the edge of the forest came a bone-chilling howl, like rolling thunder crashing into their ears.
Su Nan instantly stepped in front of Mu Chuxian protectively.
But she gently patted his shoulder and whispered…
“Junior brother, leave the rest to your senior sister.”
As soon as she finished speaking, her body flashed, turning into a streak of red light and vanishing from his sight.
Su Nan’s heart stirred—how could he just let her face the enemy alone?
Without hesitation, he sprinted toward the clearing outside the forest.
Beyond the forest, the massive form of the Ghost King had landed.
During the time they escaped, the Ghost King had been clutching his head in agony, clearly suffering from serious damage.
The entire plaza was in ruins from his rampage, cratered and broken.
Still, the Ghost King howled furiously, wings spreading to block out the sky.
Every beat of his wings carved another giant dent in the earth.
Suddenly, a red light streaked down from above, landing gracefully on the plaza.
Mu Chuxian descended like a celestial being, elegant and unearthly.
Standing calmly, she faced the Ghost King with a slight smile on her perfect face.
The Ghost King immediately sensed her presence.
His eyes flared with a sharp gleam, and he let out a feral roar, stomping the ground and charging at her.
His claws slashed forward with gale-force winds.
But Mu Chuxian, now fully awakened with true ghost emperor power after absorbing Su Nan’s yang energy, was no longer someone he could handle so easily.
She dodged his claw in a flash, floated above his body, and brought her foot crashing down.
With immense force, she stomped the Ghost King into the ground.
Boom!
Dust exploded as his hulking form slammed into the earth.
He shrieked in pain, wings flapping madly as he forced himself back into the air.
His eyes blazed red, and he unleashed a torrent of crimson mist from his gaping maw, the heat rolling forward like a furnace.
Mu Chuxian danced out of reach again and reappeared before him in a blink.
Her delicate pink fist struck gently—but it produced a muffled boom that sent a shockwave blasting past the Ghost King, dispersing the heat.
His body hunched in pain.
Before he could recover, she kicked him again, sending him crashing to the ground.
At that moment, Su Nan emerged from the forest’s edge, witnessing the fierce elegance with which Mu Chuxian was overwhelming the Ghost King. He was stunned.
Without hesitation, he gathered his strength.
Lightning and spiritual energy fused, forming an invisible blade.
“First Flash of Thunder!”
Su Nan roared as a bolt of thunder burst from his body, slamming into the Ghost King.
The monster trembled violently.
Mu Chuxian seized the opportunity.
She dropped from above, stomping down on the Ghost King’s abdomen with such force that he sank several inches into the earth.
The Ghost King convulsed and coughed up another thick fog of red mist, shrouding the battlefield.
Mu Chuxian reappeared in a flash, standing calmly in the plaza.
Su Nan joined her, both staring into the thick red haze.
Another furious screech rang out, and as the mist parted, the Ghost King’s hideous face reappeared.
“Who are you?! How can you—?!”
But Mu Chuxian’s eyes sharpened.
She didn’t intend to let him finish.
Her entire body became a red beam of light as she appeared before him and smashed a fist into his skull.
Simultaneously, Su Nan launched another lightning strike that shot through the ground, straight into the Ghost King’s body.
Mu Chuxian’s punch sent the Ghost King flying backward.
She followed up with another fist, glowing brightly with sacred light, and drove it into his body.
At that instant, Su Nan’s lightning surged through the open wound, flooding the Ghost King’s insides.
“You… you’re the…!”
But the Ghost King couldn’t finish his sentence.
The surging lightning ravaged his body, while Mu Chuxian stood calmly, absorbing all the red mist he released.
“You’re the inheritor of the Ghost Emperor… of this world…”
He never got to finish.
All his power had been drained by Mu Chuxian, while his body was torn apart by Su Nan’s thunder.
His eyes dimmed, but just before losing consciousness, a faint beam of red light shot from his eyes into the air and vanished.
Then, his body collapsed, dissolving into black mist that swirled around Mu Chuxian and was completely absorbed by her.
When it was over, Mu Chuxian let out a long breath.
The crimson glow in her eyes faded.
Standing behind her, Su Nan finally felt the weight lift from his chest.
He had never imagined that, as a student, he would face an SSS-class Ghost King head-on—and win.
Of course, that victory came with his senior sister, the Ghost Emperor, at his side.
“Senior sister, are you okay?”
Su Nan stepped forward, concerned.
Mu Chuxian turned her head with a charming smile and said…
“Junior brother.”
“I’ll come find you later. There’s still something I need to do. I’m heading off first.”
Before he could say a word, her body turned into a streak of light and disappeared from his sight.
