“How… how did you know… it was Her Royal Highness, the Saintess…?”
Amyra’s usually expressionless face instantly lost all color, and she immediately ignored the increasingly presumptuous little foot beneath her skirt.
“Never mind how I knew, tell me, what do you want?”
Lilith reached out and removed the large, black-rimmed glasses from Amyra’s nose, meeting the gaze of those dreamlike, violet-gem eyes.
If an ordinary person were to simply gaze into Amyra’s beautiful eyes, they would likely soon fall into an inescapable dream.
The princess of the Dream Chamber in the Sacred Land of Falling Dreams…
What a peculiar combination.
In this land located in the eastern part of the continent.
The Duchy of Ponix, the Sacred Land of Falling Dreams, the Morpheus Federal Empire…
These three powers jointly divided most of the stable and habitable land in the eastern continent.
And Florenca is the capital of the Federal Empire.
If it were merely the surname Morpheus, there are quite a few royal relatives on this land under federal jurisdiction… encountering various nobles with this surname is not uncommon.
However, a surname prefixed with the name of the federal capital… that could only be someone from within the city’s royal palace.
And it must be a close relative of the one sitting on the throne.
As is well known… at least among the residents within the Federation, they only know that the current king has two princes.
So what about this extra little princess?
Half of her bloodline comes from the Dream Clan of the Sacred Land of Falling Dreams.
It seems that Florenca’s current king is quite the philanderer.
Or perhaps it’s just a political product of two forces?
In any case, it now appears that this little princess, who hasn’t been brought to the public eye, has been hidden away as a royal scandal?
Or for some other reason, was her surname concealed and she was sent to the convent?
As a hostage for an opposing force? Treated as an exile? Placing the princess in the convent to seek the support of the church?
The world of adults is truly complicated.
Lilith was a little curious… after all, the archives permissions given to her by Viola did not record much about Amyra, only that she had been admitted by passing the normal entrance exam Amyra
But because of her half-hybrid status, Amyra was ostracized by the other students, which is why she was arranged to share a dormitory with Selunia and those little ones.
Lilith felt that Seraphiel probably didn’t take it seriously; since the princess came to the seminary under an assumed name for further study, it was fine to treat her as any other student.
After all, Her Royal Highness, the Saintess, had truly inherited her teachings and disdained playing any underhanded power games with others.
After all, the mere identity of a princess was nothing compared to the powerful Saintess of the Eastern Church.
She was even an unloved, out-of-favor little princess…
The same applied to Lilith.
Her point of curiosity was merely wondering what an unacknowledged princess wanted to say privately to an extremely dangerous vampire.
This convent is truly amazing; to think I’d even encounter the current Empire’s Princess here.
In the past, if I were to secretly meet with some princess that would have been far too troublesome.
What other surprises does this convent, left to me by Seraphiel, hold that I don’t know about?
“Nia and the others don’t know your identity, do they?”
Lilith watched Amyra, who was slightly trembling, either because her identity had been exposed or due to Lilith’s teasing.
Her small movements had gradually shifted from the princess’s calf to between her two thighs.
Flexible little toes, through the sheer white stockings, continuously rubbed against Amyra’s black tights. The deeper they explored, the more she could feel the warmth between the girl’s closed thighs.
Amyra subconsciously squeezed her legs together, stopping the increasingly audacious little foot between her thighs from exploring further.
Lilith, seeing this, did not continue, but merely rubbed the inner thigh that enveloped her small foot, wanting the princess in front of her to relax a little.
“It’s still a bit cold on a spring evening. Just help me warm my feet.”
Lilith looked at the expressionless, glasses-wearing girl in front of her with a hint of amusement.
Amyra’s forcibly maintained cool and calm demeanor gradually became unsustainable.
She lowered her head, letting her gray bangs obscure her shimmering, enchanting purple eyes.
“You… your feet… aren’t cold…”
“You know that’s not what I want to ask. What do you want to talk to me about alone? You can’t seriously just want to flirt with me in the library, can you? Just tell me directly, Your Royal Highness, what’s your purpose in seeking out little old me?”
Lilith casually rustled through the books on the table, the sound echoing in the quiet reading room, like her patient countdown.
“Was it that night, when you glimpsed something in my memory? What subtle thoughts did that stir in your out-of-favor Royal Highness?”
“Don’t be afraid, I’m always patient with pretty girls, and I’m easy to talk to.”
“Do you want to gain some forbidden knowledge from me?”
“Or are you saying you want to become the queen of this country? Do you think I can help you eliminate the heirs of this country? Your two brothers?”
“Or kill your scumbag father?”
“I can understand. Your birth was likely part of some agreement between the royal family and the Sacred Land of Falling Dreams… but something went wrong later, turning you, a princess of noble status, into the king’s illegitimate daughter, kept in the dark.”
“It’s quite normal to feel resentment… being confined in the palace since childhood, watching your two brothers live in a world of glory, that taste isn’t pleasant, is it?”
“It’s possible, yes, if you can pay enough of a price and give me a reason to kill them.”
“The royal family certainly isn’t clean, are they? Just give me some capital crimes, and I’ll storm the palace tomorrow and have Queen Amyra ascend the throne.”
“Or… do you know if this vampire attack incident has any connection to the royal family?”
Lilith casually threw out a few lines, wanting to probe the princess and see if she still had any connection to the royal family.
So she said things she thought would provoke the princess’s inner feelings.
As for killing the king or princes, even if she could do it, she wouldn’t do it for a princess she’d only just met.
It was just idle talk, meant to gauge Amyra’s attitude.
Seemingly sensing the gradually chilling tone in Lilith’s probing, and her sharp gaze that seemed to pierce her soul, Amyra hesitantly raised her head.
“Nia and the others don’t know… my identity…”
“Oh? You’re deceiving the friends who genuinely care for you, don’t you feel bad about it?” Lilith continued her attack, wanting to break through the princess’s emotional barriers.
“I… I haven’t been honest with them because I don’t think this identity, which has never been acknowledged by the royal family, needs to be revealed at all. I myself don’t really want to acknowledge it…”
“Her Royal Highness, the Saintess never cared where I came from. For two years in the academy, she treated me just like Nia and the others… I’m very grateful to Her Royal Highness.”
“Being able to break free from the identity given to me by the royal family and live two years as an ordinary person, I’m very grateful to Her Royal Highness and to Nia and everyone else.”
“As for wanting to use your power although I don’t know what you’ve misunderstood I’ve never thought about taking power or anything like that, and I probably couldn’t afford the price for your help…”
“Those cold palace walls and the high throne are not the destiny I desire.”
“And during those years although my father never looked me in the eye my two brothers were very caring towards me, who was always confined in the castle.”
“I was able to come to the seminary to study, thanks to my brothers’ help so I wouldn’t want to hurt them…”
“As for the vampire incident, I know nothing about it.”
“After all, I’ve been away from the royal family for over two years now.”
“Now I’m just Amyra, a half-hybrid studying at the seminary, not well-liked by the other students, that’s all…”
“And the reason I wanted to be alone with you was just to confirm some things and to apologize for presumptuously peering into your memories that night, and to thank you for saving me without holding a grudge.”
“Perhaps my poor communication skills caused you to misunderstand something.”
“It’s just that your figure that night has lingered in my dreams for all this time.”
“That’s why I looked for an opportunity to be alone with you.”
Amyra gripped the somewhat restless small foot nestled between her thighs, her deep violet eyes filled with genuine emotion as she looked at Lilith.
She gently kneaded the soft foot in her hand, as if wanting to transfer the warmth from her palm, to help Lilith warm her supposedly cold feet.
It seemed to prove that what she had just said was true.
“However… I still have many questions in my heart that I’d like you to help me answer.”
Lilith suddenly felt that the situation was a little off.
Wait, wasn’t she the one interrogating this princess?
How did this girl just go for it?
Lilith had the strange feeling of being eyed by a fangirl…
Was she the prey all along?
No, wait, it wouldn’t be good if Nia came back.
Hold on, this actually feels quite exciting! After all, Nia can’t see anything under the table!
“Ahem, I understand… go ahead and ask whatever you want. After all, it’s a rare chance to be alone. You can’t do this once Nia comes back.”
“Mmm, what I want to ask…is… you are… indeed the legendary… the eternal and indestructible progenitor of the Blood Clan, aren’t you!”
Excitement seemed to sparkle in Amyra’s eyes, her gaze fixed on Lilith filled with fervor.
Her usually expressionless face, as blank as an elven mask, now seemed slightly animated by the excitement in her heart.
But Lilith wasn’t doing well… her face was frozen.
“I’ve been investigating during this time, regarding the Blood Clan… the limited historical records from the Long Night period.”
“I found that the descriptions of you and the two existing Archdukes in the biographies don’t match up at all.”
“But you’re so powerful! So I suspect you’re the same as the elves’ legend, ‘Senro Mansho’ (All-Encompassing Myriad Phenomena), from the Age of Radiance…”
Lilith stomped her foot down into the gap between Amyra’s thighs.
