Chapter 55: The Greedy Pig’s Last Stand

Kim Jeong-o.

The supreme head of the Baekdu Bloodline, and the current ruler of North Korea.  

In the past, he was the youngest son, far removed from any succession rights.

He had four older brothers, and especially the eldest, Kim Jeong-un’s position was unshakable.

From early on, the education for succession, as well as all foundational support—including that of their father Kim Jeong-hyun—was arranged solely for him.

But with the sudden outbreak of rebellion, Kim Jeong-un and all his supporting factions were utterly destroyed.

How?

The success of the coup.

Naturally, the root cause was power.

Kim Jeong-o possessed the strength to overthrow all of Kim Jeong-un’s power base, which Kim Jeong-hyun had built.

That strength came from just two Awakeners.

Because of only two, the supporters of Kim Jeong-un turned their backs, and all the special ability users (Awakeners, as they were called in North Korea) who followed him were slaughtered.

Then began the blood purge.

It was a scene of horror.

Those who opposed Kim Jeong-o.

Those who criticized him.

Those who underestimated him.

Anyone who uttered even a single negative word was investigated and their entire nine clans annihilated.

The massacre was so severe that North Korea’s population was reduced by one-third.

That terror was deeply etched into the minds of North Korean citizens.

And so, a new king was born, one who surpassed even the glory of Kim Il-sung.

Kim Jeong-o became the sole god who ruled North Korea not as a man, but as a divine being.

Therefore, inside the Chosun Workers’ Party Headquarters, unspeakable atrocities took place—things no human mind could comprehend.

“Ugh, ugh!”

People with gags in their mouths stood in a row.

They wore nothing but filthy underwear, their hands and feet bound, restrained like circus performers doing acrobatics.

A hundred meters away from there.

“Let’s see…!”

A man with a bulging belly, greed radiating from every inch of him.

His eyes were covered with a black blindfold.

Slowly, he aimed a Glock 19 in his hand.

The targets were those bound and groaning in pain.

“Here we go, boys.”

He waved the gun left and right, then—

“Bang!”

The shot rang out.

To everyone’s shock, the bullet, fired blindly, pierced precisely through a victim’s abdomen.

Subsequent shots riddled the victim’s body like a beehive.

The head drooped—

A life vanished without meaning.

But the gunfire did not cease.

Bullets tore through the bodies of ten men standing side by side.

“Hahaha!”

“Hohoho!”

And amidst death, laughter blossomed.

At the last of the ten, the bullet, known for its perfect accuracy, missed.

“Ping!”

“Ugh, uuuugh.”

Perhaps from relief at escaping death, the man’s pitiful figure suddenly wet himself.

The laughter-filled room was instantly wrapped in silence.

“…That wasn’t a miss, right?”

The man, as if expecting confirmation, spoke.

“Thud!”

A silenced bullet pierced his forehead.

That was inevitable.

Kim Jeong-o’s bullets never missed.

He was a god.

And gods must achieve everything they desire.

Until now, what he wanted was death.

Therefore, this bound man was a sacrifice who deserved to die.

“Of course not!”

“The great leader Kim Jeong-o’s bullet never misses!”

Kim Jeong-o removed his blindfold and stared at the man with a bullet through his forehead.

Then, the corners of his mouth curved into a sinister smile, ‘This is my kingdom!’

In North Korea, here, he was king.

No, he was a god.

He could achieve anything he wanted, and his words were law.

In some ways, it was a complete reversal of fate.

Though a member of the Baekdu Bloodline, he had been the youngest son no one cared about until his rebellion.

That was only possible because of the benefactor who suddenly appeared for him.

Whenever the benefactor desired, he provided humans—living North Korean citizens.

Sometimes ten, sometimes a hundred—the number varied greatly, but whether dozens or hundreds, it was none of Kim Jeong-o’s concern.

To protect his position and greed, he was willing to meet demands even if thousands or tens of thousands of citizens were requested.

Though fully aware it carried deadly intent, Chairman Kim Seong-mu didn’t flinch and simply relayed the facts, “T-There’s been an enemy invasion approaching Pyongyang…”

“Enemy?”

Who would dare?

Who could invade the absolute kingdom he had forged?

And he was not a man who could bear murderous intent born of anger.

“Bang!”

The gunshot rang out again.

“Pew!”

The flying bullet pierced Chairman Kim Seong-mu’s head.

“What an incompetent fool.”

He was punished for allowing the enemy to infiltrate all the way to Pyongyang and even this Chosun Workers’ Party Headquarters.

Chairman gone?

Unnecessary.

“Us , Ho .”

Two figures appeared out of nowhere.

Us and Ho, they were talents recruited by the benefactor.

It didn’t matter if all the citizens and power players of North Korea vanished.

As long as they existed, Kim Jeong-o could rebuild his kingdom as many times as he wanted.

And then.

“Take care of him.”

‘Him.’

That was the unknown enemy advancing on Pyongyang.

There was no answer.

As before, they disappeared from that spot.

Once they moved, all problems would be resolved.

Just as when they made him king and god of North Korea without any foundation.

His only task was to wait here peacefully.

And soon, the head of the enemy commander attempting to invade Pyongyang arrived…

But it was not the head Kim Jeong-o expected.

His eyes widened in horror at what he saw.

Seemingly unaware of pain, the two owners of the severed heads, who had left just moments ago, were Us and Ho.

He saw it with his own eyes, yet he could not believe it.

At least in his understanding, Us and Ho were invincible.

They were only two, but each was capable of wiping out national power levels.

So why?

Why were the heads of those two rolling on the ground now?

Was this a dream?

Yes, maybe it was a dream.

The sky and earth screamed.

If this was not a dream, there was no other explanation.

The source of the demon’s grip on North Korea was Pyongyang, the command center—the Chosun Workers’ Party Headquarters.

It was expected that the entire command center was under the demons’ control.

And at its heart.

The supreme leader of North Korea, called the Divine King.

There was no doubt he had allied himself with the demons.

And the evidence was right before them.

Bodies without heads.

But those were not human bodies.

Muscular bulls’ bodies and six-tailed foxes.

Minotauros and Six-tailed Fox.

Both belonged to the upper echelon of demons, akin to the highest rank Awakeners in the modern world.

They appeared here on Kim Jeong-o’s orders.

This was no small matter.

High-rank demons had intelligence and complex reasoning.

Handling them required a senior executive of the Demon King’s Legion, known as the highest-ranked demon.

And their appearance meant behind Kim Jeong-o, behind North Korea, stood a commander-level figure of the Demon King’s Legion.

And.

‘The essence of pain.’

The energy felt in Pyongyang.

Not only demonic energy, but the essence of pain forged from human suffering and despair.

Kim Jeong-o abandoned humanity for power.

He had made a pact with the demons and handed over Pyongyang, even all of North Korea.

I picked up the severed heads of the Minotauros and Six-tailed Fox and threw them.

Transparent and seemingly non-existent, it made it look like me and my Knight’s were walking through thin air.

We ascended.

We reached the distant sky where clouds floated.

“Ahman.”

“Click!”

At my call, the old soldier snapped to attention.

After destroying all of America’s aircraft carriers and returning, he carried an air of noble dignity.

“Begin.”

“As you command.”

At my command he jumped down.

What soon became clear.

“Crash crash crash crash!”

The roof of the Chosun Workers’ Party Headquarters was completely torn away.

With the old soldier’s strike, the place was fully exposed.

“Kukukung!”

A massive shadow was cast.

It was the shadow cast by Grandis of Blansia Bellamin and the Great Demon Sword I manifested.

“Kukukukukung!” The atmosphere screamed as if about to tear apart.

“Drdrdrdrdduk!” The earth trembled as if about to split.

This was not a technique.

It was a calamity.

A disaster.

Divine punishment.

Like a wrathful giant descending, the two enormous swords cast their shadows.

“Kukwakwakwakwaaaang!”

The Chosun Workers’ Party Headquarters which had turned into a den of demons was judged as the greedy pig consumed by greed.
