“Kill me? You deaf or something? I’m a True Ancestor, True Ancestor! You think you can take me out?!”
The creepy voice echoed, but it was laced with nerves and no chill.
Filo waved at Chiyan and Bingpo to hold off.
She tilted her head toward the voice, smirking. “You’re a True Ancestor? I heard Blood Clan True Ancestors haven’t shown up for millennia. So why’re you here, sounding all… sealed up~”
“Sealed?! Who said I’m sealed? I’m a True Ancestor, Ultimate Being, invincible! You little punk, keep this up, and I’m gonna get pissed!”
This guy had zero Oscar potential. His words screamed liar—Filo was 100% sure.
Probably sealed, powers mostly locked, stuck with basic skills, desperate for someone to break him out.
Blood Clan? Likely. True Ancestor? No shot. His real body’s location? Still a mystery. So…
Filo grinned, head high. “I’ll be your kin.”
“Master!!”
Bingpo and Chiyan gawked, totally lost on what their Master was playing at.
The eerie voice cackled with glee. A black blood thread snaked from a wall crack, jabbing Filo’s neck.
“Kid, smart choice. Be my kin, and I won’t shortchange you.”
Through the thread, energy poured into Filo.
The mystery Blood Clan was hyped—finally, a ticket out of this dump.
With this human puppet, he’d escape easy. Break the seal, kill her, use her body to infiltrate the human world, lay low, rebuild, then storm the Blood Clan world for revenge. I’m high Blood Clan, baby!
Wait… something’s off. Why’s the Kin Contract still not done? A low-tier human should’ve sealed it by now.
Filo swiped a finger, pulling up her exclusive interface.
Blood Clan’s strict hierarchy: low-tiers can’t contract high-tiers. Try it, and best case, you get counter-contracted. Worst? The high-tier can yeet you to death.
Using this rule, Filo snagged all the guy’s stats and dirt.
Name: Deru
Gender: Male
Race: High Blood Clan
Level: LV800 (now LV1)
Status: Weakened (10% power due to blood deprivation)
Base Strength: 5 (sealed)
Base Endurance: 5 (sealed)
Base Agility: 5 (sealed)
Skills: Blood Hand, Blood Thread Technique, Blood Bullet, Control, Contract…
Titles: [High] [Elite] [Arrogant] [Greedy]
Deru, a high Blood Clan, came to the human world 1000 years ago for business, holding decent clout. Greedy as hell, he tried to hog his partners’ wealth, got backstabbed, and, spared for old times’ sake, was sealed in this hidden cave.
“Yo~ High Blood Clan, huh? Not bad. Thought you were mid-tier. Got some bragging rights,” Filo teased, closing the interface.
She grabbed the thread in her neck, crushing it to dust.
“Master, you okay?!” Bingpo blurted, worried.
Filo waved lazily. “Who in the Blood Clan’s my boss? Bingpo, you’re too smart to panic like that.”
“…”
“You’re right.”
Bingpo froze, then facepalmed, realizing she forgot.
Chiyan caught up quick. “Yeah, Master’s the True Ancestor! No way she’d be anyone’s kin.”
True Ancestor: the OG, top-dog Blood Clan king. Above all, below none. Any Blood Clan near her gets auto-slapped with a 10% stat debuff.
Deru, hearing Chiyan, went full brain-freeze.
True Ancestor? True Ancestor?!!
“You… you’re the True Ancestor!!!” Deru’s voice stretched, half-question, half-horrified confirmation.
Immune to a high Blood Clan’s contract? Only a higher-tier—True Ancestor—could pull that.
True Ancestors vanished millennia ago! Why now? I’m screwed, so screwed.
“Your Majesty, I didn’t mean to fake being you! I just…”
“Too late for excuses. Think they matter? What’s your punishment?” Filo asked, head tilted, smiling.
Punishment…
“Death!!!”
Deru’s mind flashed the word. Blood Clan law: True Ancestors are the law. They judge all.
“Your Majesty! You can’t! I’m noble Blood Clan like you! You save humans but kill your own kind? What’s that supposed to mean?!”
Deru’s desperate plea sealed his fate.
Bingpo, arms crossed, glared. “Blood Clan? Human? Doesn’t matter. Master does what she wants. You, noble like her? Don’t flatter yourself!”
Bingpo turned to Filo, who raised a hand, waving lightly.
*Bingpo and Chiyan stepped forward, obeying.
They’d seen the thread’s source—target locked. Time to move.
Bang!
They blitzed the wall.
Dragon scales flared, their terrifying aura erupting.
“Dragon Clan?! No, stay back!!!”
The ground shook. They didn’t hit dead-on, but the wall shattered.
Filo checked Deru’s stats again. All grayed out.
Deru: Deader than dead.
