“He’s asking you why you poked Little Darling’s butt, making it unbearably itchy.”
Feilin came to Vivian’s side and said softly.
She had learned almost all the local languages when she was making a living in the north, and Northern Orcish was one of them.
“Quick, ask him ‘What’s your business here?'”
‘Great, someone actually understands.’ Vivian was delighted inside and quickly said to Feilin.
Feilin was taken aback, as if stumped by the question.
How did that phrase come with such a weird accent…
“Cough, cough~”
She paused for a moment and cleared her throat twice.
Attracting the orc warrior’s attention, she began chattering away in translation.
When the orc heard, he was also taken aback, then suddenly turned his head.
“Huolaba bulai, guluo de si!!”
He shouted in an incomprehensible tongue, while glaring at Vivian with fierce eyes, as if provoked.
Roar!
The large lizard beneath him seemed to sense its master’s anger, opening its massive maw and roaring at Vivian.
A cold, damp wind blasted from the lizard’s mouth.
The cold wind sent her black hair flying wildly, and the small black umbrella in her hand flipped upward. Even her small face was covered in a layer of frost, as if she had weathered a polar blizzard.
“Tsk, are you sure you conveyed my meaning properly…”
‘…Is this translator even reliable?’
She muttered a few words to herself, suspecting Feilin. Vivian stepped back a few paces, clicked her tongue in dissatisfaction, and raised a hand to wipe the scattered ice shards from her face.
Why did it feel like they were about to come to blows?
That big-tailed translator’s incompetence was pushing them toward conflict.
“This… maybe it’s a cultural peculiarity of orcs.”
Feilin felt Vivian’s resentment and quickly denied it, shifting the blame to the orcs.
After all, Vivian didn’t know their culture, so Feilin could spin it however she wanted.
“Wu lue, ba la.”
Another strange, incomprehensible shout fell from above.
Vivian looked up and followed the sound.
It was the frost giant. It strode over to the orc warrior.
The two began chattering away in a language Vivian couldn’t understand.
“What are they saying now?” Vivian turned to Feilin.
“The giant says Lizard Little Darling is its good friend, and it wants to help too.” Feilin thought for a moment and chose her words carefully.
“How troublesome…”
She muttered.
“I guess we can only negotiate in a way the whole world understands,” Vivian said in a low voice.
She shook her head helplessly, then clenched her fist, ready to fight.
But things took a strange turn.
The two who had been talking a moment ago — the next second, the giant suddenly swung its palm and slapped hard on the big lizard’s butt!
Boom!
The lizard and the orc on its back were instantly knocked to the ground, raising a cloud of dust.
“What… They’re fighting among themselves?!”
Vivian turned her head and asked in disbelief.
“This is how giants are. They’re not very bright.”
“A head bigger than a cow’s contains a brain smaller than a walnut.”
Feilin seemed to have anticipated this development, speaking in a calm tone.
“It wanted to scratch an itch for that war lizard, but it completely failed to realize their differences. It only knows how to solve problems the giant way.”
With a crash, the upright white flag toppled to the ground, its once pristine surface instantly stained with yellow earth.
The orc warriors who had been lined up neatly in front all turned their heads, their gazes suddenly focusing on the giant.
“…”
Then this group of orcs shouted unfamiliar phrases loudly and surrounded Vivian and the others.
“What… what’s happening?”
Nolan pressed his aching head and opened his eyes with difficulty to ask.
When he woke up, a circle of burly orcs surrounded him. He hadn’t been feeling well today, so he had chosen to sleep on the ox’s back.
But before he could sleep for a few hours, he was woken by a loud noise.
Seeing the big men all around, he was completely dazed.
‘Where the hell did I end up? Is this still Ma’en City?’
His already foggy mind now had snow added to frost, turning into a mess.
“A group of northern guests have arrived in the city. Our side decided to send diplomat Vivian and translator Feilin to negotiate.”
Then, with a clang, Derek, who was beside Nolan, drew the long sword at his waist and began explaining the course of events.
“But unfortunately, the result of the conversation between the two sides was not ideal, and there is even the possibility of physical conflict.” Derek wore a genial smile on his face, his sharp gaze sweeping over the orcs one by one.
“What a terrible outcome, but not unexpected.”
Nolan muttered, then forced his weak body to try and get up to help.
But he failed…
Because he was tied to the ox’s back with hemp rope!
“This… who did this?!”
Nolan struggled a few times, but it was useless.
‘Was there any worse situation than this?’
He was tied up like a crab, unable to move, surrounded by a circle of orc brutes staring hungrily.
…
Nolan suddenly didn’t know what to say.
He twisted his body like a maggot. ‘My god, why does this feel like a female knight captured by orcs after a defeat?’
‘This kind of plot only happens in storybooks, yet it’s happening to me.’
‘This is too surreal.’
He finally had no choice but to give up on getting up.
Forget it, I’ll just stay like this and watch Vivian from afar.
Nolan resignedly lay back down, slowly turning his body.
He found the most comfortable position on the ox’s back, where he could see Vivian.
And the other great diplomat, Miss Vivian, finally moved.
Under everyone’s gaze, she walked up to the orc and lizard that had been knocked down by the giant.
Roar!! The giant raised its large club high and breathed at Vivian.
Just as the club was about to fall on her head, a girl’s voice suddenly came from behind the giant, speaking in the native language of the Valorion Kingdom.
“You should be polite to guests, Morlock.”
The giant’s swinging motion abruptly stopped. A thick layer of ice covered its muscular arm.
The ice seemed to weigh ten thousand jun. The giant’s tall figure was instantly overwhelmed, and it knelt on the ground.
Vivian held a red energy ball in her hand, healing the injured lizard and orc. After treatment, they stood up.
She raised her small umbrella, her dark red eyes fixed on the orc warriors. They tacitly made way, and from the center of the formation walked out a musk ox.
It was covered in dark brown long hair, and on its back sat a rat-girl.
Vivian stared at the rat-girl in the center of the formation.
She asked calmly, “Are you the leader of this group?”
