Night slowly fell.
Outside, everything was completely quiet, not a single sound to be heard.
The Luerlu family had long since fallen asleep; everyone’s breathing was deep and steady, and the room was filled with nothing but the soft rhythm of it.
Bai Ning was the first to open her eyes.
There was a hint of mischief in her gaze, along with a subtle, indescribable tenderness.
She carefully lifted the blanket, making sure not to cause even the slightest noise, curled her heels up, and slipped quietly out of her room.
The corridor was pitch-dark, lit only by a faint trace of moonlight seeping in through the windows.
She walked step by step, extremely lightly, afraid of waking anyone else.
The soles of her shoes brushed against the floor without making the slightest sound.
When she reached Luerlu’s bedroom door, she gently twisted the handle and smoothly pushed the door open, stepping inside.
A faint scent of alcohol lingered in the room, mixed with the unique smell of his body.
It wasn’t unpleasant at all.
Bai Ning looked at the man lying on the bed, the corners of her lips lifting slightly as she muttered softly,
“Old man, oh old man… today I’ll bestow upon you the greatest blessing in the world. Something others could never obtain, no matter how hard they begged~”
She bent down and gently turned Luerlu from his side onto his back, her movements careful and tender.
Then she slowly sat beside him, leaning forward slightly as she drew close to his face.
The next moment, a faint red glow spread over Bai Ning’s body.
Her appearance began to change.
Two small, bat-shaped horns emerged from the top of her head, and a pair of thin, bat-like wings extended from her back, fluttering lightly.
The cute little fangs in her mouth gradually grew longer and sharper, transforming into the distinctive, razor-like fangs of the vampire race.
This was her true monster form—as a high-ranking vampire.
Bai Ning lowered herself, her face hovering very close to Luerlu’s neck.
Her warm breath brushed against his skin.
She extended her soft tongue and gently licked his neck, once… and then again, her movements cautious and exploratory.
This was the rule among noble vampires: before feeding, they must first moisten the prey’s skin with their tongue.
It was elegance ingrained into their very bones.
And when the target was someone they cared about, the movements would only be gentler.
After licking for a while, feeling the skin grow warm and damp, Bai Ning finally stopped.
She slightly parted her lips and aimed her sharp fangs at the pulsing artery in Luerlu’s neck.
Chi!
With a crisp, light sound, her fangs pierced his skin.
Blood rich with pure magical power immediately flowed along her fangs and into her mouth.
Bai Ning drank greedily, a satisfied sound escaping her throat.
The taste was far too familiar, instantly stirring old memories.
Back then, when she had been buried in pitch-black soil, utterly powerless and on the brink of disappearing forever, it was this very blood—imbued with magic—that had saved her life and brought her back from the brink of death.
“…Mm…”
Luerlu, still half-conscious from drinking, let out a low groan as the slight pain from the bite registered.
His brows knit faintly.
But Bai Ning was far too focused on drinking to care about his reaction.
In her mind, she was already planning to drain all the lowly human blood from his body and replace it with her own pure, royal vampire blood—so that he could stay by her side forever.
Gulp… gulp… gulp…
She drank more and more forcefully, the sound of swallowing echoing softly in her throat.
The blood carried a faint fruity sweetness mixed with alcohol, sliding smoothly down into her stomach.
Before long, Bai Ning herself began to feel dizzy, as though she were drunk.
After a while, she noticed the blood flow from Luerlu’s neck slowing.
His body could no longer supply enough.
When she looked at his face, it was already pale and bloodless, his lips dry and cracked.
Only then did she reluctantly release him.
She extended her tongue and carefully licked away the blood lingering at the corner of her lips.
Her crimson eyes shone brightly—filled with satisfaction, and anticipation.
Next, still riding that slightly drunken haze, Bai Ning decisively lowered her head and bit into the pulse on her own left wrist.
The pain of her fangs piercing her own skin didn’t bother her in the slightest.
Soon, the primordial blood of the vampire royal lineage flowed out.
She carefully held the precious blood in her mouth, then lifted her head and stared intently at Luerlu.
Back when she was the Vampire Queen, she had been cold-blooded by nature.
Her face had never shown emotion; it was always pale and icy.
Tenderness was unheard of—she rarely even displayed the slightest emotional fluctuation.
But now, a faint blush had appeared on her cheeks—a shy yet deeply affectionate red.
Her eyes had grown incomparably gentle, filled entirely with care and concern for Luerlu.
This was the expression a vampire only showed when they had fallen in love—something even she herself had not realized had changed.
Bai Ning slowly leaned down and gently pressed her lips to Luerlu’s.
The instant their soft lips touched, her heart leapt violently, like a startled deer crashing around in her chest.
As their lips met, a small drop of liquid—mixed with both their saliva and blood—slid from the corner of Luerlu’s mouth, clear and glistening.
“I can’t let that go to waste~”
Bai Ning thought secretly, finding herself an excuse not to waste precious blood.
She pulled back slightly, extended her tongue, and licked the tiny drop clean.
Then she leaned in again, kissing Luerlu once more, slowly and carefully transferring the royal primordial blood from her mouth into his.
So this is what a kiss feels like…
A strange flutter stirred in Bai Ning’s heart—soft, warm, and irresistibly intoxicating.
It was unexpectedly addictive, making her want to sink into it completely.
She gently shook her head, trying to cast those strange thoughts aside, silently telling herself that what she was doing was only to repay Luerlu for saving her life.
She was redeeming him—turning him into a vampire like herself so he could live forever.
It definitely wasn’t because she was secretly enjoying this love-like sense of pleasure.
Absolutely not.
Even though she told herself that, Bai Ning’s actions never stopped.
Once again, she bit into her own arm, took a mouthful of fresh primordial blood, then leaned down and kissed Luerlu’s lips, passing the blood into him.
She repeated this action again and again.
Each time she transferred her primordial blood to Luerlu, his body underwent a subtle change.
Gulp.
Luerlu’s original hair color slowly began to change, little by little turning into the same silvery white as Bai Ning’s.
Another gulp.
His pupils gradually changed color as well, shifting from their original dark shade into the same blood-red hue as hers.
Yet another gulp.
Even Luerlu’s originally tall and sturdy body showed faint signs of shrinking.
In truth, according to vampire customs, the Embrace ritual didn’t need to be this troublesome at all.
Normally, the progenitor would simply feed their own blood directly to the one being embraced—simple and efficient.
But Bai Ning was deliberately using this slow, drawn-out method, passing the blood bit by bit, savoring each moment of close contact with Luerlu.
Usually, constrained by her personality and her identity as a queen, she would be far too embarrassed to act spoiled or ask Luerlu for hugs in front of her sisters.
But tonight, it was just the two of them.
So she wanted to stay with him a little longer, to indulge a bit more in this private, intimate time that belonged only to the two of them.
Bai Ning devoted herself completely to this special Embrace ritual, utterly unaware that the door behind her had not been fully closed, leaving a small crack.
And outside that narrow gap, a pair of large purple eyes was pressed tightly against it, staring motionlessly into the room.
It was Ziya.
No one knew when she had woken up.
Driven by curiosity, she had followed over and witnessed everything happening in the room.
Her eyes were filled with intense curiosity, a faint, barely perceptible envy, and a touch of quiet disappointment.
She watched the intimate scene between Bai Ning and Luerlu.
Her lips moved slightly, but no sound came out.
She simply stood there, watching silently, afraid of disturbing the people inside.
