“Thud—”
A dull echo rang out from the Dragon Princess’s forehead.
She clutched her head in pain while Lockes stared in astonishment at Qiaolin’s smoking fist.
“Oww…”
“This isn’t your territory,” Qiaolin said flatly.
Noticing Lockes’s gaze, he offered an awkward smile.
“Miss Fafna and I are essentially sworn siblings. Don’t mind us.”
‘Calling yourself siblings with the notorious Black Evil Dragon Princess? You’re something else!’
Lockes couldn’t help but criticize him internally.
Too many terrifying things had happened around Qiaolin, each more unbelievable than the last.
Lockes considered himself well-traveled and knowledgeable, but looking at Qiaolin, he felt as if he were discovering the world for the first time.
“It’s not like that…”
Fafna muttered, the white tips of her bangs flashing for a brief moment.
‘We are blood siblings!’
White Fafna had always believed this.
After Fafna decided to stay at the Demon King’s Castle, she sent the Fire Dragon King, Pampas, back to report part of her conversation with the Demon King, Gabriela.
The plan to deal with the Nine-Headed Black Venom Dragon-Serpent still required careful deliberation between the two races.
Pampas didn’t dare delay.
Upon receiving the report, he transformed into his original form and departed.
“Speaking of which, Fafna, since you’re planning to stay here for a while, you clearly didn’t plan this in advance,” Qiaolin said.
“You didn’t bring any luggage.”
“Um…”
Fafna scratched her cheek with a sharp fingernail.
Seeing this, Qiaolin let out a helpless sigh.
“Lockes, there should be a place in the Demon King’s Castle that sells clothes and such, right? Ideally, something that can adapt to different body sizes,” Qiaolin asked.
“There are clothes like that. They are high-level Magic Tools and quite expensive. They aren’t available to the general public, but if you need them, Mr. Jolin, I can use my status to make things easier.”
“Hmph, I’m the Empress. If I need a few clothes to wear, do I really need to ride your coattails?”
Fafna glared at Lockes, only to be “educated” by Qiaolin again.
Several more large bumps appeared on the Dragon Princess’s head.
“If you keep talking nonsense, I’m leaving you to your own devices.”
A trace of fear appeared in Fafna’s eyes, and she shrunk back.
Seeing the arrogant Dragon Princess finally behave, Qiaolin continued, “I want to buy Fafna a few outfits. She left home in a hurry without any luggage. The Dragon Domain and the Demon King’s Castle are far apart, making travel inconvenient. If she’s staying here, she needs some proper attire.”
“That’s true,” Lockes nodded.
Most members of the Dragon Race disdained taking the form of other races, as their original bodies allowed them to maximize their inherent power.
However, there were certain individuals with unique tastes who enjoyed outside cultures.
To integrate better, they would transform and learn everything—including appearance, clothing, and even language.
Humanity’s rich and colorful culture deeply attracted the Dragon Race, adding a great deal of joy to their long lives.
This was how “dragon girls” came to be.
Rumor had it that even the Black Dragon Emperor maintained a human form year-round to more easily use various human-made tools.
Fafna rarely returned to her dragon form.
Years ago, because of Qiaolin’s preferences, he had requested that she keep her thick tail and horns even while in human form.
He said a dragon girl had to look like a dragon while being a girl.
Fafna didn’t understand what he meant; she only knew that doing so made Qiaolin happy…
She had maintained this habit ever since, except for when she needed to fly as a dragon or during her molting periods.
Because Fafna’s size naturally expanded when she turned into a dragon, she couldn’t wear ordinary clothes.
She needed Magic Tools made with special techniques that could change shape freely along with the wearer.
However, such items were rarely related to daily fashion; most were weapons or armor.
Ordering custom clothing would cost an astronomical amount.
Even if Qiaolin could afford it, he would eventually draw unwanted attention.
To keep a low profile while ensuring Fafna could wear beautiful clothes, he had spent several years learning Magical Alchemy.
Although he wasn’t exactly a master, making a few outfits wasn’t difficult for him.
Most of Fafna’s daily clothes were made by Qiaolin.
The craftsmanship was ordinary and the styles were plain.
Only on her birthdays would Qiaolin go through the great effort of hiring a designer before crafting the pieces himself.
In the past, he had to be somewhat secretive and couldn’t place direct orders, but now that he was in the Demon King’s Castle, he didn’t need to worry.
“There is a clothing shop in the Demon King’s Castle that has been in business for hundreds of years. I think we can go there. Lockes, I heard the owner of that shop is a member of the Vampire race, right?”
Loki spoke up.
Lockes gave a dull response, his expression seemingly saying, ‘You’ve said everything I was going to say, so what’s left for me?’
Led by Lockes, Qiaolin’s group arrived at the clothing store.
The storefront wasn’t large.
A counter stood to the side of the entrance, and opposite it were various clothes on display.
There were many styles.
Qiaolin glanced at them but didn’t sense any Magic Power from them.
Loki seemed to notice Qiaolin’s look and explained, “These are all normal clothes. If a customer likes one, they can order an identical Magic Tool version.”
“Custom-made? How long will we have to wait?”
Qiaolin frowned.
As far as he knew, it took a skilled craftsman at least 3 days to create such a Magic Tool.
“We have stock on hand!”
A blonde Vampire girl behind the counter waved at Qiaolin.
When she saw the black-haired young man, her large red eyes blinked in a daze.
“You… are you a human?”
Qiaolin suddenly felt like there was going to be trouble.
But things didn’t go as he imagined.
The Vampire girl flashed a kind smile and said, “It’s been a long time since a human visited. Occasionally, people from Lin City come here to place orders, but I don’t think I’ve seen you before. You must be a new customer. I can give you a 10% discount.”
“Bring out all the stock you have,” Lockes said.
When the Vampire girl saw Lockes speaking, the smile on her face slowly vanished.
“Master Demigula already said that if you need Magic Tools, you can go directly to her. Why bother coming to my little shop?”
Seeing the girl’s attitude take a 180-degree turn, Qiaolin looked on with confusion.
Loki, on the other hand, looked like she was enjoying a show.
‘This girl used to like Lockes and confessed to him, but she was rejected. That’s why she’s acting like this,’ Loki whispered via Telepathy.
Qiaolin suddenly understood.
Now that it was mentioned, his interest was piqued as well.
Just as he was about to enjoy the show with Loki, Fafna tugged at the corner of his clothes.
“What is it?”
Qiaolin turned his head and asked.
“That…”
The petite Dragon Princess pointed at one of the items.
It was a black dress with white lace trim along the hem.
Although the elements were simple, it was perfect for daily wear.
“It looks like a cute dress.”
Qiaolin picked up the dress and held it against Fafna.
Unfortunately, the dimensions were for a young woman’s build.
Gaborina might be able to wear it, but it was likely a bit too large for Fafna.
“Did the customer take a liking to this one?” the girl at the counter asked.
“Do you have one in her size?”
At Qiaolin’s gesture, the clerk looked at Fafna’s appearance and noticed the large tail behind her.
A flash of surprise crossed her eyes, but she quickly returned to normal.
“For this style, it might need some tailoring. Don’t worry, 1 hour is enough.”
“Really? Then I’ll leave it to you.”
“Heh, it’s no trouble. Do you need anything else? How about a white shirt to go with it?”
With a wave of the clerk’s hand, a shirt floated out from among the clothes.
Qiaolin compared a few items, and Fafna was quite satisfied.
She pointed out several pairs of socks and shoes, eventually picking out a few sets of shirts and skirts.
Finally, she decided on a little T-Rex pajama set that happened to have a slot for her tail.
