Yang Liuqing had no time to worry about any of that.
All she knew was that her strength had just barely begun to recover.
And the enemy was already charging in.
She truly had no luxury to think things through.
There was only one option: fight.
The Tixianren sat upon the broad shoulder of the Zhanzhengjiqi, the ten transmission Mind Threads still maintaining their Connection.
The latter charged forward with savage fury, not only faster than before, but far more agile as well.
Yang Liuqing suspected the Tixianren was behind this trickery.
Those ten transmission Mind Threads were definitely strange.
“This is a real problem now.
Those two have formed a Connection.”
Ke Li saw through their scheme at a glance.
“The Zhanzhengjiqi is being controlled by the Tixianren.”
Ke Ling’s expression turned serious.
There was a real chance they would need to intervene in their master’s battle soon.
“The Magic Potion inside Xiao Qingqing is taking effect. She seems to be holding up for now.”
Ke Li carefully sensed Yang Liuqing’s condition, and the worry on her face quickly faded.
Ke Ling gave a slight nod.
“That’s right. This battle will make the Magic Potion integrate more thoroughly.”
The reason the Mini Game could even work was because Yang Liuqing had yet to digest much of the Magic Potion.
Most of it remained stored within her heart, needing to be stimulated in order to be absorbed properly and enhance her body.
If Ke Ling and Ke Li stepped in, they could definitely end the fight quickly.
But doing so would actually be doing Yang Liuqing a disservice.
She needed external stimulus to complete her absorption of the Magic Potion.
That was the main reason Ke Ling hadn’t intervened up to this point.
Now that the Mini Game had reached this stage, the difficulty would only increase.
If she didn’t grind enough experience off the Zhanzhengjiqi and the Tixianren, how could she face the Hunter that came later?
At this point, escape was no longer an option.
The Lure the Tiger Away from the Mountain plan had failed, leaving only one choice: fight her way out.
Of course, if Yang Liuqing truly couldn’t hold on, the two sisters would intervene immediately.
At that juncture, whether she grew stronger or not didn’t matter.
What mattered was keeping her alive.
The ground exploded under the Zhanzhengjiqi’s stomping feet.
He was like someone drugged, absolutely frenzied.
Yang Liuqing dared not be careless.
She gripped the Twin Swords tightly, stepped forward with her left foot, and faced the battle head-on.
The Zhanzhengjiqi threw a punch right away.
A deafening boom erupted, the punch’s wind blasting out like steam.
Yang Liuqing dodged in an instant, and the factory wall behind her was blown open into a massive hole.
The Zhanzhengjiqi’s gaze dropped downward, only to see her wielding the Twin Swords, about to leave a mark on his body.
Electric light and flame formed an X, crossing and shooting outward.
From such close range, there was no way to dodge.
The Zhanzhengjiqi was sent flying.
The Tixianren sitting on top immediately wore a pained expression.
Even so, she didn’t get off.
The Zhanzhengjiqi forcibly steadied himself, a clear X Mark appearing on the Rock Armor across his chest.
The impact that hadn’t been fully blocked made his throat feel sweet, nearly spitting blood.
Her strength was actually greater than before.
Having landed a successful hit, Yang Liuqing poured energy endlessly into the Crimson Flame Sword, preparing to use the same trick again.
The Zhanzhengjiqi had suffered once and naturally wouldn’t suffer a second time.
Under the Tixianren’s control, he directly stomped the ground and leaped.
It was hard to imagine such a tall, bulky body being able to jump over from several meters away.
Yang Liuqing sensed something was wrong and immediately halted her energy infusion, retreating backward.
Boom!
The Zhanzhengjiqi landed like a small meteorite, smashing everything around into pieces and leaving a shallow crater.
If that had landed on a person, the consequences would have been unthinkable.
Even with her body reforged by the Magic Potion, far tougher and stronger than it appeared on the surface, she would struggle to endure such an attack.
The current Zhanzhengjiqi was like a flexible fat man, possessing extraordinary mobility.
Strength, speed, and defense—all perfectly harmonized within him.
Yang Liuqing shifted her gaze and locked onto the Tixianren.
Just as she suspected, that Connection was far more than simply providing energy.
This woman was a pilot!
The Zhanzhengjiqi gave chase, throwing rapid rock fists with a terrifying presence.
Yang Liuqing narrowly avoided them using the Hound Body Movement.
A row of decorative trees was blasted apart, broken branches and debris flying everywhere.
Facing the Connected form of the Zhanzhengjiqi and Tixianren, Yang Liuqing couldn’t find a solution for now.
She wanted to take down the Tixianren, but discovered that the now-agile Zhanzhengjiqi could handle it with ease.
Moreover, the Tixianren’s transmission Mind Threads had plenty of slack, so dodging wasn’t difficult for her at all.
This combination was very hard to break apart.
The Zhanzhengjiqi threw punch after punch, each one whipping up wind and booming sounds.
Despite holding the advantage, he seemed unusually impatient.
As if he were pressed for time.
Yang Liuqing was too busy dodging to pay attention to those details.
If she got hit even once, it would basically be over.
She’d either die or be crippled!
In truth, the Tixianren wasn’t having an easy time either.
The process of transmitting energy to the Zhanzhengjiqi while also finely controlling him was extremely draining.
This Connection mode simply couldn’t last long.
She had to end this quickly and take down Yang Liuqing.
But haste makes waste.
The more rushed the attack, the harder it was to nail the fine details.
After a long bout of grappling, Yang Liuqing actually adapted to the rhythm.
Even half-dead and with her mind in a fog, her instincts remained outrageously sharp.
The Tixianren gritted her teeth in frustration, while the Zhanzhengjiqi kept glancing toward the distant night sky, anxious.
“Mm, just about there.”
At this stage, Ke Ling was quite satisfied with her master’s performance.
“It’s time to end this battle.”
“Sister, can we join in now?”
Ke Li’s eyes sparkled with excitement.
Ke Ling shook her head, looking calm.
“There’s no need for us to join the fight.”
With that, she looked toward Yang Liuqing.
“Master, use the Thunder Light Sword against that Tixianren.”
“Got it.”
Hearing the familiar voice resound in her mind, Yang Liuqing’s eyes instantly cleared.
The Thunder Light Sword in her hand greedily absorbed her just-recovered strength, causing violet lightning to crackle wildly across the blade.
The Tixianren sensed the danger and immediately ordered the Zhanzhengjiqi to stop attacking and pull back.
His feet dug deep into the ground.
Yang Liuqing didn’t pursue.
She simply swung the Thunder Light Sword toward the two of them.
A Thunder Dragon as thick as a leg shot forth, streaking rapidly through the air.
The Tixianren inwardly cried out in alarm.
This attack came too fast.
With the Zhanzhengjiqi’s speed, there was no way to dodge it.
If the lightning couldn’t be fully conducted into the ground, she would be in trouble.
Right now, there was actually a layer of Mind Threads between her and the Zhanzhengjiqi.
By all logic, conduction shouldn’t be possible.
But the Thunder Light attack Yang Liuqing had unleashed was far from ordinary.
What if it had other properties…
What if it even had tracking ability…
At that thought, she grew uneasy.
At this point, severing the Connection was no longer an option.
The only choice was to have the Zhanzhengjiqi find a way to channel all the lightning into the earth using his abilities.
As she was thinking, the Thunder Light Dragon was already bearing down on her.
Their target was indeed her.
The Zhanzhengjiqi raised his arm to block.
The Tixianren took the chance to leap up, trying to avoid the effects of conduction as much as possible.
However, both she and the Zhanzhengjiqi underestimated the power of the Thunder Light Dragon.
Boom!
A flash of violet lightning, like the wrathful thunder of the heavens, devoured them both.
“Kyaaaa!!!“
In that instant, the screaming Tixianren tasted the bitter fruit of her folly.
If she had severed the Connection before Yang Liuqing struck and fled far away, she likely would have been fine.
Clutching onto the slim hope of gambling on luck was simply asking for trouble.
