“So cute…”
The explosion seemed to snap everyone in the Forest Ruins back to their senses, but most players’ gazes remained fixed on the petite figure in the sky, their eyes gleaming with awe.
In Epoch, monsters come in all shapes and sizes, but at the early stages when players’ levels are still low, they mostly encounter basic creatures.
These low-level monsters typically share one trait: they’re either oddly shaped or, frankly, a bit ugly. Sure, some—like Fluff Rabbits or fuzzy ball-beasts—fit players’ aesthetic tastes and are seen as cute, pet-like creatures at best.
This might explain why the most popular grinding spots in the Alwyn Empire, aside from those with high leveling efficiency, are always zones filled with flower demons, sprites, or mermaids.
Perhaps it’s because most players are, at heart, drawn to beauty.
So, when they saw this adorable loli monster before them, they were utterly captivated.
Even if she was likely a Commander-tier BOSS or higher, that only made her more appealing.
After all, a regular loli player might not draw much attention, but a loli BOSS in the game? That’s a rare combo of overwhelming power and irresistible charm, guaranteed to spark heated discussions and drive players wild at this stage.
“So adorable, aaaah!”
“Vampire plus loli? This character design is just too perfect!”
“I’m in love with this loli.”
“You’re all after her looks, but I’m the one who truly appreciates her.”
Some players, analyzing the earlier scene, reached a unified conclusion.
“She got mad after someone saw her panties—definitely a tsundere, right?”
“Totally a tsundere.”
“Yup, classic tsundere vibes!”
Some players’ focus was, well, less conventional.
“I want her to scold me while stepping on me, aaah!”
“Black stockings loli—I’m already sold.”
“Jerk, let go of my wife’s gorgeous legs.”
“She’s your wife? Give it a second, she’s about to be my wife!”
But these discussions went so far that even the subject herself couldn’t stand it, quickly facing a devastating counterattack.
BOOM BOOM BOOM.
Along with the explosions, a loli’s voice rang out, laced with furious embarrassment.
“You’re the tsundere! Your whole family’s tsundere!”
“Perverts, perverts, super perverts—go die a million times!”
Sometimes, a vampire’s keen hearing isn’t such a great thing. Having caught nearly half the chatter about tsunderes and inappropriate topics, my face burned red as I unleashed the power of Eternal Night to thoroughly punish those players, trying to quell the overwhelming shame in my heart.
Little did I know, my reaction only sparked an even more enthusiastic response.
“That reaction is just too cute!”
“Gentlemen, I want to take down this little loli.”
“Agreed.”
“Seconded!”
Players, somehow forming a united front, charged recklessly toward the petite figure in the sky.
Of course, most were solo players or from smaller guilds. Established guilds like Stormwind would never act so impulsively, breaking discipline like that.
Still, it didn’t stop their internal discussions—though, in the presence of their guild leader or vice-leader, they kept their voices hushed.
Roseheart, however, had no such reservations, as their vice-leader was right in the thick of the conversation.
“So cute, Doran.”
“Stop repeating it like a pervert.”
“So, compared to that kid you mentioned, who’s cuter—this BOSS or her?”
“I think they’re both adorable.”
Doran sighed. “But the real question is, what do we do now?”
“Peep.”
Red Coral smirked, then quickly defended herself before Doran could strangle her. “Even if you ask me that, I don’t know what to do!”
It wasn’t just Roseheart—other guilds were in the same boat.
“We basically wasted all that effort earlier, but at least no one stole the BOSS. Otherwise, Starry Myth would’ve been humiliated,” Zhenmo said, breathing a sigh of relief. His head throbbed when he glanced to the side. “Hey, are you even listening to me?”
“Yup, yup, I’m listening! I also think she’s super cute… ow, ow, ow!”
Dreamweaver barely finished before getting a sharp flick to the forehead, immediately grabbing her weapon to square off with the culprit.
“Cut it out. Think seriously—what do we do now?”
“What can we do? If we’re gonna fight, let’s fight,” Dreamweaver huffed. She was pretty excited to see what it’d be like to take down this loli BOSS. It had to be more thrilling than the half-dozen random doujinshi stashed under her bed, right?
“It’s not that simple. Even the guild leader probably hasn’t figured out the next move yet. Honestly, my head’s still a mess.”
After all, everything had happened so fast—from all the guilds teaming up to fight the Dark Bat King, to someone trying to steal the loot, to now facing a loli BOSS. The rapid shifts left them no time to plan their next steps.
Even Stormwind, usually so decisive, was hesitating.
“Boss, we’re not going in?” Blue Ocean, leader of Stormwind’s Fourth Division, asked Black King Caesar.
“The cost might be too high,” Black King Caesar shook his head. “The previous boss was beatable, and we could keep casualties within an acceptable range. This one’s Commander-tier. Without knowing its full strength, we can’t act rashly.”
Black King Caesar’s concerns mirrored those of most guilds.
But the next moment, a system notification neatly resolved their dilemma.
