The moment the system announcement appeared, a prominent bat icon flashed onto the interface of every player in the Forest Ruins.
Below it, a number displayed their contribution points earned in the [Bloodthirsty Frenzy of Eternal Night] event.
In an instant, nearly everyone was buzzing with excitement. The prospect of exchanging contribution points for various items in the Forest Ruins alone was enough to spark their enthusiasm.
Now, with no loss of items or experience upon death, there was practically no cost at all.
Even a fool would know what to do, let alone the guilds present, who reacted almost immediately.
“Blue Ocean, tell Forest of Birch to have the crew bring reinforcement potions and items when they come.”
“Forest of Birch says it’s already arranged. The elite team is on the way, and all the brothers here have been called over. They’ll be here in less than twenty minutes. A third of the guild’s warehouse stock has been pulled out, and the logistics team is calculating the contribution system.”
Blue Ocean gave a wry smile. In moments like these, Forest of Birch’s decisiveness and thoroughness were undeniable, even to him.
“That guy Forest of Birch really gets me.”
Black King Caesar stroked his stubbled chin with a slight smile, then waved to the group behind him, shouting loudly, “Everyone ready or what?”
“Of course, just waiting for the boss’s orders!”
“No time to waste, chief!”
The enthusiastic responses from his members erased any lingering doubts Black King Caesar might have had—or rather, he never had any to begin with. “Haha, in that case, let’s go all out! Warrior team, charge with me!”
Roseheart wasn’t idle either.
“Everyone gathered?”
“All elite teams, plus regular members we could call, and a few elite squads from the knight divisions—roughly 5,400 people in total.”
Red Coral tallied the lists reported by each team, giving a rough estimate.
“When did the knights get so proactive?” Doran blinked, surprised.
“I just sent them the photos we took.” Red Coral smirked, mimicking a camera shutter gesture toward the distance.
“Those darn loli fanatics.”
Doran was speechless but didn’t forget to add, “Make sure to send me a copy of those photos later.”
“Got it, loli fanatic.”
With Stormwind and Roseheart making their moves, other guilds weren’t far behind, quickly rallying their members active in the region.
Meanwhile, solo players and smaller guilds in the Gruin Region seized this rare opportunity, calling friends or organizing their own teams.
Wave after wave of players poured in through the teleportation circle, turning Soma Town into a hive of activity.
The teleportation circle near the cathedral glowed brightly as a group of vibrant young women stepped out, led by a refined, elegant woman in a pristine white mage robe that accentuated her graceful curves.
Her holy aura and gentle, radiant beauty drew frequent glances from nearby players.
Autumn Waters paid no mind to the stares, turning to speak to those behind her. “Yoyo, get in touch with Nightwish and Mushui first.”
“No need—they’re already waiting for us over there.”
Seaside Yoyo, a flame mage, nodded. “I was planning to come here in a couple of days, but who knew the Forest Ruins would get this exciting first?”
“Right? A Commander-tier BOSS, plus that event—it’s thrilling just thinking about it,” said Scarlet Rain, a ponytail-wearing warrior girl with a crisp, energetic air, practically bouncing with anticipation.
“And the rewards sound pretty generous too,” added Dream Cradle, a paladin girl nearby.
“Hehe, I’m getting a bit excited myself,” Autumn Waters said, resting her chin in her hand with a smile. That little one looked so cute in the photos, practically begging to be taken down.
It was a pity she was just a game-designed BOSS, but that didn’t matter. Taking more adorable photos was the goal.
Though, if they could take her down, that’d be pretty great too.
“So shouldn’t we hurry up and meet them over there?”
The team’s priest, Elk, cut through the chatter with perfect timing, her exasperated expression showing she was long used to their scatterbrained antics.
The group snapped to attention, quickly leaving Soma Town and following the crowd toward the Forest Ruins, though their chatter didn’t stop—such is the nature of girls.
“By the way, Yoyo, log on early tomorrow. We agreed with Nightwish and the others to speed up our leveling.”
“Can’t tomorrow—I’ve got something to do.”
“What’s more important than leveling?”
“No game beats this: I’m going with Sister An Rou to visit my adorable niece tomorrow.”
“That kid you said is your sister’s? How cute is she? Got any photos? Or bring her out sometime for us to see.”
“No way, you guys aren’t getting near my precious niece.”
“What, not even for your big sister?” Autumn Waters teased.
“Autumn, don’t stir things up.”
Following the flow of players, these latecomers realized just how chaotic the Forest Ruins had become.
Thanks to the event, the originally modest area was now packed to the brim with surging crowds. Even with the territory expanded several times over, it could barely contain them.
Most players were aiming for the petite figure hovering in the center of the Forest Ruins’ sky.
Major guilds managed to organize their teams, but others struggled to fend off the endlessly reviving monsters, creating the chaotic scene now unfolding.
Amid this, some players had different ideas, seeking out spots with better views.
Sweet Orange was one of them. She knew full well her chances of getting close to the Commander-tier BOSS were slim, so instead of pushing deeper, she chose a higher vantage point.
With the agility boost from her hidden class, Shadow Hunter, she nimbly climbed an ancient tree, crouching steadily on a branch. Activating Eagle Eye, she enhanced her vision and turned on the game’s built-in camera function.
“The view’s pretty clear, but I’ll need other angles too~”
After snapping a few photos, she pulled two runestones etched with strange patterns from her backpack.
“Feels a bit wasteful—these materials took four whole days to gather.” Sweet Orange hesitated, but thinking of the potential payoff, she gritted her teeth and crushed them.
Two eye-like patterns shot out from the runestones, flying under her control toward the petite figure in the sky.
Magic Eye, a signature skill of the Shadow Hunter, allowed her to share the vision of the summoned eyes, perfect for detecting traps or scouting the battlefield. But now, it was being used for sneaky snapshots.
If the Shadow Hunter’s designer knew, they’d probably be furious, but Sweet Orange didn’t care—she was focused on something far more important.
“Hehe, what should I title the forum post~”
