Although Yuriko didn’t care much about privacy, there were still some things she was conscious of.
After pulling the curtain, she removed her school uniform.
As it slipped down to her shoulders, a grotesque demon tattoo was fully revealed.
This was Yuriko’s method of intimidating enemies during battles.
At first, it was just to make herself look tough, but now it had become a burden.
If this tattoo were discovered, her time in the underworld would be exposed as well.
After changing into a light and breathable sports outfit, Yuriko moved her body slightly.
The material of the clothing was very nice, cool against the skin and elastic, but it didn’t provide much support.
With even a little movement, the soft mounds on her chest bounced uncontrollably.
She really should have used a chest wrap.
‘Damn it, why did a muscular girl like me develop like this!’
Yuriko lifted them with her hands; the weight was still substantial.
“They probably wouldn’t grow any further, right?”
Pulling back the curtain, she saw Carmilla already changed and waiting outside.
Yuriko’s gaze instinctively fell to Carmilla’s chest.
The thin fabric of the sportswear made her curves even more pronounced.
Noticing Yuriko staring, Carmilla shyly covered her chest.
Even though they were both girls and normally this shouldn’t matter, being stared at by Yuriko strangely made her feel a bit embarrassed.
“Is-is something wrong? Is there something strange about me?”
Yuriko shook her head and looked away.
“I just feel like we share the same struggles.”
“Huh?”
“Nothing. Let’s go.”
Before Carmilla could figure out what Yuriko meant, Yuriko had already left the changing room.
Stepping onto the track, Yuriko felt a long-missed sense of familiarity.
She never expected that, after all these years in another world, she would again have the chance to run on a synthetic track as a student.
It really was nostalgic.
As the class bell rang, the PE teacher blew the whistle, and the students immediately assembled.
After a few minutes spent lining up, the teacher led them in exercises.
PE class had no special purpose.
There was nothing to learn academically; its sole purpose was to strengthen students’ bodies and prevent some from neglecting physical exercise due to laziness.
After warming up and doing aerobic and anaerobic exercises, the lesson ended.
The PE teacher announced that the remaining time was for free exercise, then moved to a suitable spot, placed a small chair, and sat down to rest.
“Carmilla, are you okay?”
Yuriko approached Carmilla with concern.
Carmilla was slumped on the ground, her face flushed, gasping for air.
She clearly hadn’t recovered from the exercise.
The PE exercises weren’t extreme.
For physically strong students, they might have been just a warm-up, but for a delicate girl like Carmilla, it was torturous.
“Hu-hu… I’m still alive…”
Carmilla managed to squeeze out the words, lacking the strength even to smile.
Sweat soaked her sportswear, clinging to her skin and accentuating her figure.
Her alluring body, flushed face, and the gentle sounds of her breathing hit Yuriko’s senses all at once.
Even Yuriko, who was used to her own female body, felt a rush of heat at the sight of Carmilla.
Fortunately, her own blood was still pumping from exercise; otherwise, seeing Carmilla like this would have made Yuriko blush furiously.
She sat beside Carmilla, staying silent and waiting for her to recover.
After the announcement of free exercise, only a few students continued working out.
Most, like Carmilla and Yuriko, paused to rest.
“Hey, you!”
A gentle voice called from behind.
Since no name was mentioned, Yuriko didn’t know who it was but felt the voice was familiar.
Curious, she turned around and saw a petite figure with white hair.
It was Nomily.
Looking around, Yuriko saw that aside from Carmilla, only she was here.
Nomily couldn’t be calling anyone else.
As for calling Carmilla, Yuriko thought Nomily wouldn’t address an ordinary classmate like that.
“Are you calling me, Kipling?”
Yuriko asked, already knowing the answer.
Nomily put her hands on her hips, her small face still showing a trace of disdain.
“Who else would I be calling?”
Yuriko stood up, dusting herself off, and said to Nomily:
“Since you didn’t call my name, I wasn’t sure if you were calling me. If you had said my name, I would have responded immediately.”
“Hmph. I haven’t accepted you yet. Don’t get cocky just because Elder Sister treats you well. Elder Sister is only fair to everyone. If being around you drags down Elder Sister’s reputation, that won’t do!”
Yuriko had expected Nomily’s sharp words, but she hadn’t anticipated that after Olesia’s lesson, Nomily would come find her so quickly.
“So, what do you mean, Kipling?”
Nomily raised a hand and pointed at Yuriko.
“I want to prove you don’t belong here. Compete with me!”
“Compete? Fight?”
When it came to fighting, Yuriko was fully awake.
Having spent years in the underworld, she was a seasoned fighter, well aware of which strikes hurt the most and which caused minimal injury.
Just as Yuriko felt a thrill at Nomily’s words, she suddenly remembered why she was at the academy.
“No, no, she wasn’t here to fight.”
She was a model student now, a good girl—how could she commit such a violent act?
“Kipling, this is the academy. Fighting isn’t appropriate, right?” Yuriko tried to reason.
Unexpectedly, Nomily looked at her with confusion and asked, “When did I say I wanted to fight? I said I wanted to compete with you!”
“Oh no.”
She had forgotten that ordinary people didn’t automatically assume a competition meant a fight.
‘Idiot,’ Phantom rolled her eyes.
Yuriko immediately tensed.
If she didn’t explain properly, she could easily be mistaken for a delinquent girl.
“Ah, it’s because I grew up in a place with poor public safety, so I instinctively assumed that,” Yuriko explained.
“Hmph, such a crude person. You really shouldn’t be allowed to stay at the academy.”
Nomily snorted, not dwelling on it, and continued:
“I want to compete in physical fitness with you!”
