As a female teacher in her thirties, the Old Class Teacher seemed genuinely concerned about her students’ lives in Lin Yi’s eyes.
Just before P.E. class, the Old Class Teacher specifically reminded Lin Yi to join some club activities, make a few more friends, and not bottle up her stress.
Zhuming Girls’ High was a private middle school that only admitted girls.
Consequently, academic performance wasn’t overly emphasized, and the school even actively recruited students aiming for university through sports or arts.
Boasting comprehensive development in morality, intellect, physique, aesthetics, and labor, the school didn’t lack sponsors.
It was even privately nicknamed the aristocratic girls’ school of Suizhou City.
Therefore, its club activities were far more extravagant than those at public schools.
“Eat more nutritious food regularly and exercise by running,” the Old Class Teacher said, pushing her glasses up her nose.
“Why not go to the Art Club to learn drawing or the Gardening Club to grow flowers?”
Lin Yi nodded helplessly and watched the teacher walk away.
Salute to the responsible people’s teacher!
Speaking of which, wasn’t she supposed to go to P.E. class now?
Lin Yi wanted to skip class.
Claiming her period had arrived should be fine, right?
Making her run now would be tantamount to murder.
“Hmph, I seem to smell the scent of someone in need of exercise.”
?
What kind of expert was this now?
A high ponytail swung from side to side with the rhythm of her jog.
Below the pure white sports headband was a delicate face that could serve as the poster child for a sunny, beautiful girl.
Remarkably, even the traditional black-and-white sports uniform of Zhuming Girls’ High couldn’t hide the girl’s height of 1.67 meters, her well-proportioned and perky figure, or her porcelain-white, snowy skin.
Beneath her long eyelashes was a pair of sunny, almond-shaped eyes that could make all evil spirits vanish in shame, as if a lion were hidden within them.
Yan Jianxing, Physical Education Committee Member of Class 1-1, and a main player on the school badminton team.
Also her roommate.
“Uh, Yan Jianxing…”
“Lin Yi, why aren’t you heading to class yet?” Yan Jianxing pointed to the phone watch on her snow-white wrist. “P.E. class starts in three minutes. You must know that not a single second of youth should be wasted. We must keep moving forward on the path of progress!”
Wow, mop su, mop su, give me the road!
Lin Yi shielded her eyes from the piercing radiance the other girl seemed to emit at all times, making one strongly suspect if she was the incarnation of the sun.
“P.E. Committee Member, my stomach hurts… it might be my period…”
“Is that so? But I recall you used the same excuse to skip class and go to your work-study program two days ago?”
Exposed!
What terrifying memory! Yan Jianxing, for what purpose did you memorize the period of a nobody like Lin Yi?
With no defense, Lin Yi could only obediently let the sunny beauty drag her to the on-campus open-air football field, where all first-year P.E. classes were held.
A breeze blew.
September in Suizhou wasn’t exactly cool, but the temperature changed extremely rapidly within a single day.
So everyone dutifully wore their sports uniforms to prevent catching a cold.
Today’s P.E. class started with stretching exercises, followed by an eight-hundred-meter run.
Lin Yi felt the P.E. teacher was trying to murder her, but she had no evidence.
“On your marks!”
The twenty-four girls of Class 1-1 were divided into four groups to start, with the P.E. Committee Member running alongside the entire way.
“Go!”
An eight-hundred-meter jog. From the very first meter, Lin Yi felt her lungs were about to explode.
By the fiftieth meter, her arms could no longer swing, making her look like a zombie with an activated virus.
In her dying moments, Lin Yi suddenly noticed a change on her panel.
The originally quite embarrassing [Speed: D- Rank] had now become [Speed: D- Rank↑], indicating that running could improve her Speed Attribute!
Damn it, you stupid System, using attribute points to bait a seasoned shut-in… girl like her?
She was a hardcore JRPG enthusiast.
Her favorite thing was kicking every single pot and jar on the map and taking every copper coin from NPCs!
But she really couldn’t take much more.
—System, save me!
[Detected host’s current condition is below average activity level. Activate assistance?]
—Eight Gates Release, open!
Lin Yi was overjoyed.
This was the standard way to use the System! She loved opening cheats the most.
Who wouldn’t want to idle with their feet up while reaping rewards?
[Assistance activated]
Ooooooh, I, I, I, I’m flying!
Yan Jianxing observed that the look in Lin Yi’s eyes beside her had changed!
It was like the protagonist instantly switching to their battle face.
Those who truly want to win don’t smile.
What perfect running form! What fluid rhythm of inhaling every three steps and exhaling every two! Yan Jianxing seemed to see the figure of the school track and field team captain in Lin Yi.
So passionate, so youthful!
Yan Jianxing couldn’t help but take out her phone and record Lin Yi running.
Stop recording, damn it!
Save me, save me quickly!
Lin Yi could only roar internally at this moment because her body was being controlled by the System, and she couldn’t speak.
This isn’t right, you stupid System!
Why did you directly activate Sage Mode on me?
Cheating isn’t supposed to be like this!
You should gradually give me a few small gift packs first, then improve my attributes.
Occasionally assist me a couple of times to earn some small items, then give me a special skill during that special storyline.
Finally, during some beautiful girl’s mysterious inner event, let me show off in front of others, and then have the beautiful girl show me her special CG!
Why are you trying to kill me right from the start?
I refuse!
Lin Yi felt her muscles were so sore that her head was about to explode, buzzing.
Even her calves were beginning to twitch faintly.
By three hundred meters, she felt she had lost self-awareness, leaving only her legs running mechanically.
By the final six hundred meters, Lin Yi accepted her fate. Since she couldn’t resist, she could only force herself to pretend she was enjoying it.
Crossing the finish line! It’s over!
[Assistance ended]
[Please consciously train according to the assistance standard. Becoming a high-quality human is not far away.]
—Stupid System, your mom…
[Detected host maintained a calm mindset during the first assistance process and completed training satisfactorily. Special reward: Blue Bottle Oral Liquid*1 (Effect: restores current body nutrition) has been delivered to the schoolbag.]
—May your mom be in good health.
Lin Yi didn’t have time to fight with the System.
She plopped down on the ground, gasping for breath.
Yan Jianxing held up her phone, looking surprised.
“You’re back, you’re back again. Lin Yi, you almost died in my phone.”
“P.E… Committee Member… help… help me up.”
“Alright!”
Yan Jianxing leaned in to help Lin Yi up, then supported her as she limped to the temporary storage area, where there were benches and a sun umbrella.
The P.E. teacher came over to ask some questions.
Lin Yi waved her hand, saying she was fine, and the teacher let her rest there.
“This is the first time I’ve seen you so serious, Lin Yi.”
“Heh, heh… do you have water?”
Yan Jianxing unzipped her sports bag and pulled out a bottle of electrolyte water.
“Uh, I only took one sip from this. If you don’t mind…”
Lin Yi pointed at her open mouth, then closed her eyes.
“Huh? Me… feed you?”
“My hands… can’t lift up.”
Yan Jianxing had no choice but to unscrew the cap, place a towel under Lin Yi’s snowy neck, and carefully feed her water.
Gulp, gulp.
It felt like coming back to life.
During this, Yan Jianxing watched intently.
“How is it? Feeling better?”
“Yeah, much better.”
Seeing Lin Yi’s look of someone who had just returned from the brink, Yan Jianxing put the water aside and sat down next to her.
“Lin Yi, I’m sorry. I just heard from others that you seem to have just returned from the infirmary, and I dragged you to class like this…”
Lin Yi waved her hand. “As a student, attending class is our duty.”
Who was it that wanted to skip class using her period as an excuse just a moment ago?
“Hehe, I owe you one. I’ll treat you to dinner tonight.” Yan Jianxing patted Lin Yi’s shoulder. “Rest well and stay hydrated!”
“Mm.”
After Yan Jianxing left, Lin Yi stared at her panel with its double D- ranks in Strength and Speed, falling deep into thought.
Mop su…? Well genderbend aside if he’s in an all girls school than yuri potential?
