“So… this is how adult magic is used…”
Aivela stuck out her little tongue, licking her slightly dry lips, her eyes full of curiosity and longing.
“How is it used?”
Suddenly, a familiar voice sounded softly from behind her.
Aivela’s whole body stiffened, as if turned to stone, even her dangling little feet froze in place instantly.
She turned her head stiffly, meeting Luo Xiaosu’s murderously kind smile.
“S… Sister!”
Aivela’s voice rose an octave.
She scrambled off the bed in panic, at lightning speed slammed the open book shut with a Slap!, stuffed it under her bottom, and looked at Luo Xiaosu with wide eyes and an awkward expression.
“Th… that, sister, how come I didn’t hear you come in?”
She tried to use her small body to block the pile of books beside her, her little face flushed red, her eyes darting around, not daring to meet Luo Xiaosu’s gaze.
Luo Xiaosu didn’t say anything.
She quietly walked to the bedside, then reached out and yanked out the book that Aivela had hidden under her bottom.
She glanced at the cover.
Yep, it was the one she had hidden away earlier.
Then she lifted her head, her gaze gradually locking onto the pile of books behind Aivela.
Good heavens, she actually took them all out.
Just how curious was she?
Luo Xiaosu’s mouth twitched.
She couldn’t figure it out—she had clearly hidden these porno books under the bed, just like the male leads she’d seen in anime before she transmigrated.
How had Aivela found them so easily?
She rolled up the book in her hand and gave Aivela a light tap on the head.
Bop!
“Ah! Sister, that hurts!”
Aivela immediately covered the spot that was tapped, pouting and muttering softly, looking at her with tearful eyes.
“Now you know it hurts?”
Luo Xiaosu wore a half-smile, her voice squeezed through clenched teeth.
“Didn’t your sister tell you before that you’re not allowed to peek at these books, right?”
Her face darkened as she looked down at Aivela.
Aivela suddenly felt the air pressure around her drop.
She lowered her head, trembling, and stammered as she tried to explain.
“Th… that… I…”
“What? You still want to talk back? Lying is bad, you know.”
Luo Xiaosu slowly leaned in, her beautiful eyes staring directly into Aivela’s.
Aivela instantly felt an immense pressure enveloping her.
She gritted her teeth and finally decided to go for broke.
“Y… you were the one who read them first! And you said it was adult-only magic!”
The gloom on Luo Xiaosu’s face didn’t dissipate at Aivela’s “accusation”; instead, as if hearing some great joke, the curve of her mouth became more amused.
“Oh? You mean it’s my fault for reading them first, is that it?”
She chuckled softly, not rushing to contradict, but casually tossing the yuri doujin aside like trash.
Then she turned around and pulled an extremely thick book from the shelf.
“Since you love studying ‘adult magic’ so much, your sister will see it through today and teach you what real ‘adult magic’ is.”
Bang
With a dull thud, Luo Xiaosu slammed the book in her hand heavily onto the bedsheet in front of Aivela, making Aivela’s whole body bounce.
“S… sister, this is?”
Aivela stared at the book before her, which was at least a thousand pages thick, and her little face instantly turned pale, more despairing than when she had just seen Luo Xiaosu angry.
“Since you have so much energy and time, and the desire to read messy books like that…”
Luo Xiaosu stood by the bed leisurely, arms crossed, looking down at her.
“Today, if you don’t finish reading this ‘Beginner Magic Guide,’ you won’t be going out to play.”
“F… finish reading?”
Aivela’s eyes widened in disbelief.
She looked at Luo Xiaosu, then at the “Beginner Magic Guide,” and felt like crying but had no tears.
“Sister, I know I was wrong. I won’t do it again…”
Aivela immediately flopped down, flailing her arms and legs, her tone full of grievance.
“Cut the act.”
However, Luo Xiaosu had become immune to this trick from Aivela.
Unmoved, she just bent down slightly and wagged a finger in front of Aivela.
“Oh, and don’t think about slacking off and bluffing your way through. I’ll be quizzing you on the content later.”
She leaned forward a little, extended her right hand, and magically produced a few candies from her palm.
“If you obediently finish reading and pass my questions, then these candies will all be yours.”
At this, she deliberately paused, lowering her voice with an undeniable seriousness.
“But, if you dare to slack off, or just flip through it and go through the motions…”
Luo Xiaosu slowly withdrew her hand holding the candies and stuffed them back into her pocket.
“Then not only will you have no candy tonight, but you also won’t be taken out tomorrow. From now on, don’t expect any snacks from me.”
“No way!”
Aivela let out a tragic scream, as if hearing the worst news ever.
For her, a day without candy was even more frightening than being grounded.
“Waaah, sister, you’re too cruel! This is abuse!”
Even as she protested, Aivela had no choice but to reach out tearfully and tremblingly open the thick “Beginner Magic Guide.”
Seeing that Aivela had obediently started reading, Luo Xiaosu silently breathed a sigh of relief.
She picked up those picture books and left the room.
As the door clicked shut behind her, Luo Xiaosu’s tensed shoulders instantly slumped, and her strained face relaxed.
She leaned her back against the cool door panel, let out a long breath, and raised a hand to rub her slightly sore cheeks.
“Phew… pretending to be strict is exhausting.”
She muttered softly, a faint blush appearing on her face.
The fierceness she had maintained in front of Aivela now all turned into embarrassment.
Luo Xiaosu looked down at the pile of books in her arms.
“Seriously, how did I get discovered…”
She was both annoyed and embarrassed, muttering nonstop under her breath, and quickened her pace, turning toward the study.
After carefully tucking these “contraband” items into the deepest part of the bookshelf, Luo Xiaosu finally relaxed again.
“This kind of book… that little Aivela actually found it so interesting…”
She shook her head helplessly at the thought and walked back to the bedroom.
Oh well, better go keep an eye on her finishing the “Beginner Magic Guide” first.
