“Yes… your subordinate obeys.”
Upon hearing Dorothy’s anger, Lilisi immediately became too frightened to say another word.
Dorothy cut off the communication directly.
The room fell back into silence.
Dorothy walked to the bedside and plopped herself down.
She grabbed at her hair and let out a sigh.
Being an undercover Demon King is exhausting.
Every day she had to guard against the Evil God while also figuring out ways to help her big sister.
The worst part was that even though her big sister was right beside her, she couldn’t act spoiled or show too much closeness.
Yesterday in the private room, she’d seen that golden-haired girl sitting on her big sister’s lap and even kissing her big sister’s cheek.
She’d been so jealous her eyes nearly turned red.
She wanted so badly to rush over, pull that golden-haired girl away, and sit there herself.
But she couldn’t.
She could only pretend not to care and silently watch from the side.
She stood up and walked to the mirror to straighten her clothes.
“Big sister…”
Dorothy muttered softly to herself.
“Alright, time to go eat. If I’m late, I won’t get to see big sister.”
Dorothy put on an innocent, naive expression and pushed open the door to walk out.
Meanwhile, in that spacious private room from last night.
The long dining table was laden with a lavish breakfast.
Golden toasted bread slices, sizzling bacon fried in its own fat, and a large pot of steaming, rich mushroom soup.
As expected of the Royal Capital branch of the Golden Rose Inn, they certainly put real effort into preparing their food.
By the way, aside from the territory Consta operated here at the Border, this tavern didn’t exist anywhere else.
Apparently, the owner back in the Royal Capital had realized that only the territory run by Consta was worth opening a branch in.
Clotilde sat beside the table, three empty plates already in front of her.
She clutched a massive bone-in roasted meat in her hands, tearing into it with big, greedy bites.
Her mouth was covered in grease, completely lacking any sense of decorum.
As an Ice Snow Dragon with a level exceeding twenty thousand, her appetite simply couldn’t be compared to a human’s.
More than half of everything on this table had gone into her stomach.
For others, breakfast was about filling their bellies. For her, breakfast was restocking inventory.
Primrose sat in the main seat, watching Clotilde wolf down her food, her eye twitching uncontrollably.
This dragon really had zero dignity.
However, Primrose currently had no mind to spare for Clotilde’s matters.
Because she herself was in hot water.
The Holy Sword Maiden, draped in a white dress and a thin, sheer gauze shawl, dangled her two pale, tender legs in the air.
At this moment, she was sitting firmly on Primrose’s lap.
“Mommy, I want to drink that mushroom soup.”
She pointed at the small bowl of mushroom soup on the table in front of her, her voice soft and clingy.
Primrose was now a divine body and didn’t need to eat at all.
But the golden-haired girl insisted that her “mommy” feed her.
Holding an ultra-beautiful maiden in her arms while using a spoon to feed her soup.
To an outsider, the scene might look lovely, but to Primrose, it felt utterly bizarre no matter how she looked at it.
She could only steel herself, pick up the bowl of mushroom soup in front of her, and scoop up a spoonful.
She brought the spoon to the golden-haired girl’s lips.
But the golden-haired girl didn’t open her mouth. Instead, she grew restless on Primrose’s lap, swaying left and right.
She blinked those golden eyes at Primrose, her tail stretching out long behind her.
Primrose took a deep breath, barely suppressing the urge to slam the bowl onto the table.
“Drink it.”
Primrose’s voice was stiff.
“Squee~ Mommy, the soup is too hot. Blow on it for me.”
She pulled the spoon back, brought it to her lips, and gently blew on it twice.
Only then did the golden-haired girl open her mouth in satisfaction and drink the soup from the spoon.
“It’s not hot now. Drink.”
After drinking, she even stuck out her pink tongue and licked her lips.
“It’s delicious. Thank you, Mommy.”
The golden-haired girl lifted her head and flashed Primrose a sweet smile.
Primrose looked at that breathtakingly beautiful face so close to her own, and her heart skipped an uncontrollable beat.
Damn it, this girl was way too unfairly good-looking.
Even knowing she was the Holy Sword in human form, she still looked far too much like a real human girl.
Primrose quickly averted her gaze and continued spooning the soup, feeding her one small spoonful at a time.
“Ha… mm.”
“Ha… mm.”
The golden-haired girl drank very slowly, needing Primrose to blow on every single sip.
The more she fed her, the stranger Primrose felt inside.
Every time she saw the golden-haired girl open her small mouth and take in the soup from the spoon, she felt like something inside her was melting away.
This is bad…
This girl had definitely eaten way too much cuteness.
Primrose felt the strength draining from her body. Her hand feeding the soup grew softer and softer, until it was even trembling slightly.
This breakfast was absolute torture.
Just as Primrose felt she couldn’t hold on any longer.
An even bigger problem arrived.
Dolores, sitting nearby, had been quietly watching Primrose feed the golden-haired girl soup the whole time.
Her golden eyes shimmered with anticipation.
Suddenly, Dolores stood up and picked up the bowl of soup in front of her.
Primrose stiffly lifted her head and looked at her in confusion.
“Huh? What’s wrong?”
She walked over to Primrose’s side and held out the bowl.
“Goddess.”
Dolores spoke with a smile.
Dolores looked into Primrose’s eyes and said seriously:
“Dolores is a child too. I want you to feed me as well.”
The moment those words left her mouth, the air in the private room froze solid.
Primrose’s hand trembled, and the spoon nearly fell. Fortunately, she reacted in time and caught it again.
Her eyes widened slightly as she stared at Dolores.
Are you kidding me?!
The future ruler of the Church Nation comes over claiming to be a child and demanding to be fed?
What about your persona?!
Before Primrose could even speak, Cecilia, sitting on the other side, exploded.
Cecilia shot to her feet, her gaze at Dolores instantly sharpening into a piercing white blade-like glare.
If looks could kill, Dolores would have been sliced into a thousand pieces by now.
How could the Goddess casually feed just anyone?
The Holy Sword was the Hero’s exclusive partner, so feeding her was one thing.
Cecilia wouldn’t dare overstep her bounds, but since Dolores had taken the initiative, Cecilia couldn’t just stand by and do nothing.
Still, Cecilia knew she couldn’t lash out. She couldn’t lose her composure in front of the Goddess like she had last night.
She took a deep breath and forced down the fury burning inside her.
She too cupped her bowl with both hands and walked to Primrose’s other side.
Cecilia intended to imitate Dolores, but as she drew close, she suddenly realized she couldn’t simply and directly ask to be fed the way Dolores had.
Was it because, as the Saintess, she carried the burden of not being allowed to overstep divine authority?
Damn that Dolores!
Cecilia cursed one last time in her heart and decided to throw caution to the wind.
“Goddess, I’m a child too. I also need to be fed.”
With her eyes squeezed shut, she shouted toward the ceiling.
