“Puppy, why do you look so distracted?”
Bai Jingyu’s gaze sharpened as she walked over from the hallway. She had intentionally hidden her presence. That ghost infant had only dared to come looking for trouble with her brother because it thought she wasn’t there, and she had done this specifically to draw it out.
She wasn’t actually in a good mood. With her strength, the ghost infant shouldn’t have dared to approach, but the situation was clearly going wrong somehow.
“Sis, I want some peace and quiet,” Qin Luo sighed.
Without fail, he had lost face again. Not only had he screamed in front of the entire class, but he had also lunged into his sister’s arms. It was safe to say his image was completely destroyed.
At that moment, he was so embarrassed his toes could have dug out a three-bedroom apartment.
Besides that, he was now being targeted by a ghost infant. It had just killed that guy last night; would it be his turn tonight?
‘Sigh, I, Qin Luo, have lived for eighteen years, yet I’ve never even held another girl’s hand besides my little aunt and my sister. The world really hasn’t been kind to me.’
After returning home, Qin Luo lay on the sofa with a vacant look in his eyes. Suddenly, his gaze fell on his beautiful sister, who was heartlessly scrolling through her phone.
He thickened his skin and approached her like a little delinquent, placing his hands on her long, beautiful legs and gently massaging them.
“Mmm… Puppy, not bad. A little higher.”
Bai Jingyu closed her eyes, her red lips slightly parted as she let out a lazy moan.
Qin Luo froze for a moment before cautiously asking, “Sis, do you have a way to deal with that ghost infant?”
Bai Jingyu opened her eyes, her gaze flickering with a half-smile. “Of course I do. But Puppy, Sister has one condition.”
“Don’t just say one — even if it’s ten, I’ll agree!” Qin Luo patted his chest in a guarantee. “As long as I can stay alive, I’ll do anything!”
“Really?”
“Of course!”
The corners of Bai Jingyu’s mouth curled up slightly. “Fine, then.”
She suddenly stood up, looked down at her brother crouching on the floor, and leaned over, hooking his chin with a slender finger.
“Go over to that sofa.”
Qin Luo’s heart tightened; he felt like something bad was about to happen. But since the words had already left his mouth, he could only brace himself and do as he was told for the sake of his life.
“Prop yourself up. Yes, just like that.”
Bai Jingyu looked at her brother, who was obediently posing, as if she were looking at a favorite toy. A flash of excitement crossed her eyes. Moving her long legs, she sat on top of him without hesitation.
Qin Luo felt a weight on his back as she pressed down, and at the same time, his sister’s crisp voice rang in his ear.
“Puppy, quick, move!”
Her tone was filled with obvious excitement, like she had found a beloved toy.
When he was a child, his sister often used to ride on him like this to play. Back then, she had a blast, and he had laughed like a fool.
‘Heh, Bai Jingyu, do you think I’m still the same person I used to be?’
‘Times have changed!’
Then, he simply relaxed his hands and lay flat on the sofa, motionless. No matter how much his sister urged him, he refused to move.
“Oh? Puppy, are you defying your sister’s orders?”
“Bai Jingyu, I have my dignity too!”
“Is that so? The dignified Puppy is currently being pressed down by his sister, isn’t he?” Bai Jingyu looked at her stubborn brother with a playful expression. “Since you aren’t willing to be obedient, then Sister can’t help you with the ghost infant issue.”
“What’s there to be so smug about? At worst, I’ll just go find Little Aunt. She’ll definitely help me!”
Little Aunt wasn’t like this woman; she didn’t have such a wicked personality. By comparison, Little Aunt’s gentleness, carefulness, and stunning appearance were simply beyond reproach.
When Qin Luo was a child, Little Aunt was the goddess in his heart — the most perfect existence in the world.
He had even naively said that he would marry her when he grew up, and he had told her this idea directly. At the time, Little Aunt had laughed so hard her whole body trembled. She stroked his head and said, “Since Luo Luo likes Little Aunt so much, then Little Aunt will wait for Luo Luo to grow up and marry me, okay?”
Thinking about it now, it was pure embarrassment. Little Aunt had clearly just treated it as a child’s joke.
One hour later.
“What? Little Aunt isn’t coming back tonight?!”
Qin Luo felt as if he had been struck by lightning.
The gentle voice on the other end of the line spoke. “Luo Luo, Little Aunt might be quite busy for a while, so I won’t be coming home as often. I’ll make it up to you once I’m finished.”
Following a series of beeps, the call disconnected.
Qin Luo slowly lowered his phone and looked at his sister.
Bai Jingyu was sitting on the sofa with her legs crossed and her hands folded over her stomach. Her expression was cold, and her aura was oppressive, giving off the full vibe of a domineering older sister.
Qin Luo took a deep breath, poured a glass of water, and ran over with a face full of smiles.
“Sis, have some water.”
He bowed and scraped, acting extremely fawning. “You’re a great person who doesn’t hold grudges. Just treat what I said before as a fart. This time, I’ll work like an ox or a horse, and I’ll never complain!”
He patted his chest with a thumping sound, making a solemn vow.
Bai Jingyu didn’t take the water; she just glanced at him coldly and said nothing.
The air instantly grew quiet.
Qin Luo’s smile froze. After a moment of hesitation, he decided to lower his dignity just a little further. She was his sister, anyway, so it wasn’t really a loss.
He knelt honestly on the sofa and lowered his head.
Before long, a soft and warm sensation came as a delicate hand pinched his ear.
“Puppy, say those two sentences.”
Her red lips leaned close to his ear, her voice carrying a hint of moisture and ambiguity.
“Ah… do I really have to say them…” A flash of resistance crossed Qin Luo’s face. This was truly too shameful.
He felt a slight sting of pain in his ear.
Bai Jingyu’s voice was charming. “What? You don’t want to? Then Sister won’t look after you anymore.”
Even though she said that, she had already quietly opened her phone’s camera and aimed it at him.
Since his dignity had already hit rock bottom, this little bit more didn’t matter.
Qin Luo bit his teeth and whispered:
“Without Sister’s permission, I am not allowed to date girls privately.”
“I must listen to Sister in everything. Even if I’m unwilling, I must follow unconditionally. Everything is subject to Sister’s decision.”
“Everything I have belongs to Sister, including myself. Everything is up to Sister to decide.”
