That night, Filo’s room was quiet yet loud. As the sun rose, Chiyan dragged herself out of bed early, groggily stumbling from her room, scanning around.
“Bingpo… she ain’t up yet? Always bragging about her hustle, but today she’s snoozing like a champ. Guess the real grinder’s me, Chiyan, yo!”
Chiyan gave herself a proud thumbs-up, head high. Xiao Lin, the Spring Spirit, zipped over, grinning. “Up already?”
“Whoa, you’re up too early.”
“Nah, I’m a Holy Spring Spirit—I don’t even sleep!” Xiao Lin, hands behind her back, chirped.
After some time together, she wasn’t scared of Bingpo or Chiyan anymore. Well, mostly Chiyan—she’s just a doofus, easy to vibe with.
Bingpo, though? Still some distance there, since she saw Xiao Lin as an “enemy,” and Xiao Lin had no clue why.
“Yo, seen that Bingpo chick? Bet she’s still out cold, right?” Chiyan said, still scoping the place.
She’d checked a bunch, but deep down, she couldn’t buy Bingpo sleeping in. First time ever, in her memory.
Xiao Lin blinked, tilting her head. “Blue-haired big sis? I saw her head to Big Sis Filo’s room last night and never came out.”
“…”
Chiyan froze, brain buffering for five seconds. Then, whoosh—she flash-dashed to Filo’s room.
Thump! Thump! Thump!
“Bingpo! You sneaky jerk, pulling a fast one? That’s low!” Chiyan’s fists hammered the door. Seconds later, it creaked open from inside, and a disheveled Bingpo appeared.
“Quit yapping! This is Master’s room. You wake her, and your favor points with Master are gonna plummet, got it?” Bingpo shot Chiyan a salted-fish stare, eyes barely open.
Chiyan gawked at her, stung by her words, lips pursed, at a loss.
“I… I… I couldn’t hold back! I’ll grind favor points later. You pulled a sneak move, crashing Master’s room? I’m gonna fight you!”
Chiyan erupted in flames, dragon power surging. The villa couldn’t handle that kind of juice—it teetered on collapse.
In a flash, whoosh—red threads shot from the room, wrapping Chiyan tight, locking her body down.
Filo strolled out, her crimson eyes brighter than ever, radiating a fierce aura—different from before—but she dialed it back quick.
After sipping Bingpo’s blood, Filo shifted from Weakened (from long-term blood abstinence) to Normal.

Filo felt raw power coursing through her. Chiyan, sensing that split-second surge, gulped hard.
“Master… that strong, huh…”
Chiyan thought Master was a human Sage, but now? Probably a Great Sage.
“Sorry, Master, I got too hype! Lemme cut my gut to atone!” Chiyan bowed, looking ready to hand-knife her stomach if Filo freed her.
“Y’all dragons… always this extra?”
“Uh, Master, don’t sweat it. This doofus just binged too many novels. Plus, with dragon regen, a hand-knife won’t cut it for seppuku. Still, maybe skip the gut-stabbing and pick another punishment,” Bingpo whispered to Filo.
Filo turned to Chiyan, coughed hard, and put on a stern face.
“No gut-cutting needed, but you messed up, so you pay a price. The hot spring’s getting an indoor upgrade. Fix and expand the villa!” Filo said, lifting a hand to release Chiyan.
Chiyan shook, snapped upright, slapped a hand to her chest, and bellowed, “Got it, Master! I’ll nail it!”
“Then get moving!”
“Oh, snap!”
Chiyan spun, bolted out, and seconds later, boom boom boom—a corner of the forest roared. Chiyan, in dragon form, was “chopping trees.”
Chiyan’s dealt with. Now… Bingpo.
Filo’s gaze slid to Bingpo. Catching her look, Bingpo lowered her head… and blushed.
“Master, if you want more, I’m not totally against it~”
“…”
Filo admitted it—she had zero defense against this stunner. Way too lethal.
Resisting blood cravings from now on? Yeah, that’s gonna be rough…
A hundred kilometers from the forest, a squad in sharp armor marched toward it.
They held a pointer—a Blood Clan Tracker, built to hunt vampires. They were Blood Clan Hunters, tasked with slaying Blood Clan.
In a world of demons and monsters, peace wasn’t a thing. Races had messy webs of alliances and grudges.
The Blood Clan had plenty of enemies, but two stood out: humans and werewolves.
Blood Clan Hunters were a joint force of these races, formed to wipe out vampires.
“Ninety-one kilometers—Blood Clan detected!”
“A vampire in human turf? Must be strong, but if we stay sharp, no vampire’s our match!”
“Damn right, we’re Blood Clan Hunters!”
The squad hustled toward Filo’s turf, clueless that they were marching straight into “hell”…
