Peachia wanted Bai Yue Ling to join the Judgment Church because she had been acknowledged by the Goddess of Judgment, suspecting her to be the next Chosen of Judgment.
Meanwhile, Sistana’s reasoning stemmed from Bai Yue Ling’s 50% Dark Fall bonus and her high reputation within the Church of Nature.
However, all their hopes were shattered by Bai Yue Ling’s merciless response.
Sistana gently persuaded, “Little White, how can an outside class compare to one blessed by the Goddess herself?”
Bai Yue Ling scratched her head, “Actually, I think this class is pretty good.”
Once I complete my job advancement, I’ll Dark Fall all of you.
Peachia’s tail shot up as she stood on her tiptoes and gave Bai Yue Ling a light thump, “So what class are you advancing to?!”
Bai Yue Ling tilted her head proudly, “I can’t reveal the exact name, but it’s… something related to angels!”
The Dark Fallen Succubus class was steeped in dark undertones with every word. If she told the truth, the two Grand Archbishops would likely brand her a traitor and eliminate her on the spot.
Mentioning only its connection to angels, however, wouldn’t raise suspicion.
As expected, everyone’s faces lit up with understanding, realizing why Bai Yue Ling had rejected the invitations from both Grand Archbishops.
After all, every angel was an elite force of the Heavenly Kingdom, and the allure of an angel-related class was no less than that of a church class.
The anger on Peachia’s face subsided slightly, and she nodded, “To think you got an angel job advancement. You’re really lucky, kid.”
Sistana, stroking her chin in thought, seemed to ponder deeper implications after overhearing the Fallen Angel secrets.
Seeing both Grand Archbishops supportive, Bai Yue Ling rubbed her hands together, “So~ could you two big sisters help me gather some job advancement materials?”
“Who’s your big sister?” Peachia glared at her.
Sistana frowned slightly, “Why aren’t you calling me Mommy anymore?”
The atmosphere grew awkward.
Finally, Huilian broke the silence with a smile, “What materials do you need?”
“Dew of Corruption, Tears of the Wraith, Dark Ore, Black Silk Stockings, and The Emperor’s New Clothes.” Out of caution, Bai Yue Ling listed only five.
“Why are they all materials from the Underground World? Our church doesn’t store such things.” Peachia frowned slightly, “And I’ve never heard of those last two pieces of equipment.”
Sistana shook her head, “Our church doesn’t have them either.”
Unexpectedly, Huilian spoke up, “The first three materials—I remember they’re in Mother’s collection room.”
“Really?” Bai Yue Ling’s eyes sparkled.
“But only Mother has the authority to open that collection room,” Huilian said, “As it happens, upon hearing you purified the Forest of Nature, Mother wishes to meet you.”
The Queen of the Rose Kingdom was a frail, bedridden beauty, rumored to be an icy enchantress.
However, the Queen suffered from an incurable terminal soul illness and was fated to die within a month of the game’s opening. Her death would mark the beginning of a civil war, ultimately leading to the destruction of the Royal Capital and the tragic collapse of the kingdom.
Across ten loops, Bai Yue Ling had never met this queen who passed away so young.
And since she had given birth to two stunning daughters like Huilian and Viki, Her Majesty the Queen was undoubtedly a breathtaking beauty as well.
To prevent the unnecessary sacrifice of a big sister… No, to protect world peace and prevent the kingdom’s collapse, I absolutely must save Her Majesty! Bai Yue Ling thought.
She nodded, “Can I visit tonight?”
Huilian smiled faintly, “You can, but… why not go now?”
Bai Yue Ling yanked the blanket up, snuggling close to Trineph, “Because we’re still napping this afternoon.”
Huilian’s smile froze.
Before leaving, Huilian suggested giving Bai Yue Ling and Trineph a better sleep experience, a proposal Aiya and Shi Qianla enthusiastically supported.
So, Sistana cast Hypnosis Spores, and a thick, pale purple mist enveloped the room. Unable to resist the overwhelming drowsiness, the two girls fell asleep instantly.
In a way, this relieved some of Bai Yue Ling’s pressure.
Otherwise, with Trineph’s sudden burst of maternal warmth, Bai Yue Ling might have gained a “teenage mommy.”
After leaving the room, Peachia was about to depart when Sistana suddenly grabbed her by the scruff of her neck, dragging the petite cat-eared loli into the next room.
“Let go of me! You old hag, what do you think you’re doing?!” Peachia yowled.
“Quiet down. I have serious business to discuss,” Sistana said.
She slowly closed the door, smiling at the others, “You three go on ahead. No need to wait for us.”
Aiya, Shi Qianla, and Huilian were left staring at each other outside the door, utterly confused.
Inside the room, Peachia was tossed onto the sofa like a kitten.
“Meow! Old hag, I’ve put up with you for too long! We’re both Grand Archbishops—don’t think you can do whatever you want just because you’re 15 levels higher!” Peachia snapped, her fur puffing up in anger.
Sistana tossed her a heavy bag, crossing her arms to lift her plump, soft chest and tilting her head slightly, “Take a look for yourself.”
Peachia opened the bag, her cat-like pupils shrinking, “This… this is one of our Judgment Church bishops?”
This bishop had a history of embezzlement, but Peachia hadn’t caught her last night.
Peachia tied the bag shut and tossed it aside with disdain, “Old hag, what’s going on?”
“I should be asking you that,” Sistana said, narrowing her mature eyes, “How did a bishop from your Judgment Church become the leader of those Black-Clad Figures?”
Peachia was shocked, “She’s one of the Black-Clad Figures? Impossible!”
“She ambushed Little White in the Forest of Nature this morning, targeting the crown on her head,” Sistana explained calmly, “And Little White mentioned that the Black-Clad Figures all recognized Aiya, the Chosen of Judgment, and could use holy light… To me, your Judgment Church looks awfully suspicious.”
“Nonsense!” Peachia slammed the table, her fur bristling, “This is that bishop’s personal doing! Do you think I don’t want to deal with it?”
Sistana’s smile carried a hint of coldness, “Don’t act like you’ve done your best. How can a Grand Archbishop fail to control her own subordinates?”
“Hmph… Old hag, take care of your own Church of Nature’s mess first,” Peachia retorted angrily, “I heard someone from your church has been deliberately summoning tsunamis in the Storm Ocean, destroying merchant ships and profiting off the dead with the Merfolk Clan.”
Beyond storms, the Storm Ocean was plagued by strange tsunamis, which only members of the Church of Nature could manipulate.
Sistana’s eyes lowered, “I’ve heard of it… but the ocean isn’t under my jurisdiction. I only manage the forest regions near the Royal Capital.”
“So we’re all in the same boat,” Peachia said.
Tensions within the Light Faction were growing, not just between major powers but even within the goddess churches themselves.
Both Grand Archbishops understood this, but they were powerless to change it, only able to focus on their own duties.
Bickering like this was still better than drifting apart in silence.
Sistana tapped the table, “Regardless, your bishop attacked Little White, so I’m going to collect some interest for her.”
Peachia glanced at her sideways, “She’s not even a priest of your church. Why are you so protective of her?”
Sistana ignored her, continuing, “Among the job advancement materials Little White needs, there’s an item called The Emperor’s New Clothes.”
“Don’t think I don’t know—that The Emperor’s New Clothes is hidden in your Judgment Church, isn’t it?”
