Bai Ziyu pulled the quilt straight over her head, leaving only the ahoge on top, swaying left and right in the wind.
The “dumpling” the little loli had become was shivering, occasionally peeking out through a gap in the quilt to secretly watch the other girl.
But whenever Luo Yunzhi’s gaze landed on her, Bai Ziyu would close the quilt again, as if that place were some special safe zone.
Luo Yunzhi smiled, finding it amusing.
A quilt had never been a safe zone… What’s more, she wasn’t a ghost, and ghosts weren’t afraid of quilts either.
A light tug from her would be enough to break the fortress.
Although, in her heart, it wasn’t as if she had never thought about that kind of thing.
“I really don’t think that way.” The girl shrugged, putting on an innocent look. Yet everyone knew that couldn’t be said, or Bai Ziyu would lose her trust. Luo Yunzhi wasn’t stupid. “Well, it’s just your imagination.”
Bai Ziyu heard this and poked her head out.
“R-really?”
“I wouldn’t lie to you.”
“If you lie to me, may heaven strike you with lightning!”
“I swear.”
“Boom!”
Yet at that very moment the world outside the window was as calm as a lake surface.
Luo Yunzhi was speechless.
Those eyes of hers slanted toward the little loli.
“It didn’t work on me last time, and this move won’t work on me this time either.”
Bai Ziyu opened her mouth and gave an embarrassed little laugh.
This Bai Ziyu had started doing voice-over again, insisting on simulating thunder.
“Just… livening up the atmosphere. Why do you have to look so serious?”
She blinked, her voice very soft.
The pair of cat ears on top of her head twitched, and the tail behind her also slipped out of the quilt, swaying lazily back and forth in midair.
In truth Bai Ziyu didn’t really think Luo Yunzhi would have that kind of terrifying idea.
After all, when it came down to it, she was still just a little loli.
If she actually did something… then she could go argue with the police in the detention center.
She thought strangely, her gaze turning toward the window, then she froze, a little startled.
“It’s going to stop.”
“What?”
“The rain outside is going to stop.”
“Eh? Really?”
Bai Ziyu’s words left Luo Yunzhi puzzled.
The little loli was just about to jump down from the bed onto the floor when the girl immediately scooped her up from behind.
“The floor’s too dirty.” Luo Yunzhi shook her head, her words sounding beside the little loli’s ear.
The little loli’s cat ears were made very itchy by the other’s breath.
The ears twitched.
Bai Ziyu hung in the air, her two little feet dangling, but after thinking it over she didn’t reject the other’s embrace.
Luo Yunzhi carried her to the window.
Both of them looked outside.
At some point, the rain outside had actually lessened a great deal.
It was a fine drizzle now, without any strength left.
“Want to get a little closer?”
“Okay.”
Since Bai Ziyu agreed, the girl simply switched the little loli into a princess carry.
The little loli froze for a moment, then looped her arms around the other’s neck.
This posture was actually… a little embarrassing, but it was also a rare experience.
Luo Yunzhi stepped forward and simply walked out of the dorm room.
Their footsteps were a bit dull in the corridor.
The girl carried Bai Ziyu along until they reached the main door and only then stopped under the balcony.
The little loli changed her posture and looked outside.
She had already lost track of when the rain outside had started to ease.
Yesterday it had still been thunder and lightning, thunder rumbling.
But by now, all that remained was a fine, continuous drizzle.
Bai Ziyu lifted her gaze, and suddenly a breeze swept over.
Tiny raindrops touched her skin and brought a faint coolness.
The little loli reached out and watched the raindrops quietly slip away.
She blinked and tilted her head.
“What does the weather forecast say?”
“Don’t know.”
“Not going to check?”
“It’s never accurate anyway.”
“True.”
Bai Ziyu opened her mouth.
“I think… tomorrow might be a sunny day.”
She spoke as if she had gained a bit more confidence about it.
The little loli also hoped tomorrow would be sunny.
Rainy days were just too damp; even her body felt wet and sticky.
“I think so too.” Luo Yunzhi chuckled softly, staring at the puddles on the ground.
After the raindrops fell, they kept striking the puddles.
Drip-drip they fell, and ripples spread outward in every direction.
She drew a deep breath; the air still carried a faint coolness.
She lifted her gaze slightly and looked at her.
At this moment Bai Ziyu was still huddled in the quilt, only stretching out those two little hands to clutch the girl’s collar, as if afraid of falling.
Even so, this little loli still couldn’t help looking outside, seeming full of curiosity.
The campus in the rain had a different feel.
The girl curved the corners of her mouth and hugged Bai Ziyu a little tighter.
Suddenly a wind blew past, making the other shrink her body again.
The little loli hummed, her tone soft and sticky.
“It suddenly got a bit cold.”
“Then shall we go back?”
“Let’s go back.”
Bai Ziyu was right.
The next day it truly was after the rain comes sunshine; it was even a brilliantly sunny day, the sun hanging high in the sky.
After eating breakfast, the little loli clung to the window and looked outside.
Sunlight poured down, and those pale-pink eyes of hers blinked again and again.
Luo Yunzhi finished packing the trash, tossed it outside the door, and came to her side as well.
Her gaze went outside, and a bit of amusement inevitably entered her eyes.
It had grown warm outside, warm and cozy.
After the downpour… even the air seemed to have become much fresher.
Bai Ziyu took a deep breath, her small chest rising and falling there.
The girl’s gaze was drawn to the “balls,” like a game’s auto-target lock.
Unfortunately, there wasn’t actually anything worth looking at there.
So Luo Yunzhi thought, once they had a child, the little loli probably wouldn’t be able to feed it; they could only pity the child and buy some formula, with no other choice.
Bai Ziyu suddenly turned her head, frowning slightly.
“What are you looking at me for?”
“Eh eh?”
“I feel… you’re thinking something rude.” The little loli said faintly. She was actually fairly sensitive to gazes.
Luo Yunzhi tugged at the corner of her mouth, a little embarrassed.
“Is that so? Must be your imagination.” The girl gave a light cough. “Let’s go home today.”
She changed the subject.
“Staying in the dorm isn’t very convenient for you either, right? And the clothes on your body haven’t been changed in a long time.”
Bai Ziyu froze.
“Okay.”
She said the clothes really hadn’t been changed in a long time.
These past few days it had been wash then wear, wear then wash again.
This was way too much trouble… When there were no clothes, she could only use the quilt to cover her body.
If she wasn’t a little careful, she would give Luo Yunzhi a bit of a welfare show.
“Let’s go.”
Bai Ziyu thought for a moment, then at the next instant the little loli vanished, and a black cat appeared in her place.
The little cat lightly leaped up and jumped into her arms.
“Meow.”
I’m too lazy to walk myself.
“Meow.”
You carry me~
