Lilith had no idea how long she had been reading in this library. Outside, Bai Lili was sleeping soundly on a large, warm bed. Dressed in lace pajamas, her petite figure was full of allure. If Lilith could see her, she would definitely pounce and pin Bai Lili down.
“I’m really going crazy! How are there still so many books?!”
Lilith was at her wit’s end with this trial. She wandered around the library, trying to see if there was any shortcut. After all, if she really had to settle down and study the knowledge in these books… she could manage at first, but after about fifty, she was almost sick of it. So, Lilith walked through the library and came across a place that exuded mystery from every corner. It seemed someone had deliberately blocked it off with a black cloth, and above it was written: Forbidden Knowledge.
‘I’ll just see what this “Forbidden Knowledge” is all about.’
Lilith crossed her arms, a look of disdain on her face. Meanwhile, outside this space, Vivianna seemed to remember something.
‘I think I forgot to put away those books of mine… She probably won’t find them, right? She just needs to read 150 books, after all.’
Just as Vivianna was pondering whether they’d be discovered, Qianmeng reported Bai Lili’s condition to her.
“Master, Miss Bai Lili has fallen asleep.” Qianmeng’s face still showed no expression or emotion.
Vivianna smiled and placed a finger to her lips.
“You should smile more, little Qianmeng.”
Qianmeng did not respond to Vivianna’s words. She merely brewed a pot of black tea for Vivianna, poured her a full cup, and then silently withdrew.
The perspective returns to Lilith.
Lilith entered the area marked as forbidden and casually picked up a book from the shelf.
‘What kind of book is this? The Blood Clan Queen Falls in Love with a Delicate Fox Girl? What kind of forbidden knowledge is this?’
Lilith opened the book titled The Blood Clan Queen Falls in Love with a Delicate Fox Girl. What greeted her eyes were not dense lines of text, but vivid illustrations.
In the picture, the Blood Clan Queen and the Fox Girl embraced in a mysterious garden. Their lips met lightly, kissing tenderly and lingeringly. The Queen’s hand gently stroked the Fox Girl’s soft fox ears, while her other arm wrapped around her slender waist. The Fox Girl’s cheeks flushed red, her tail trembling slightly and curling up, as if responding to this dominant yet gentle possession.
The kiss gradually deepened. The Fox Girl retreated step by step, finally going limp and leaning against the Queen’s chest, letting out faint, ragged breaths. The Queen chuckled softly and kissed her even deeper, as if wanting to devour her whole.
Lilith’s face flushed bright red. Subconsciously, she brought her fingers to her own lips. When she realized what she was doing, she shook her head vigorously.
‘It’s actually… drawn like a racy novel… So, so embarrassing! No, no, Lilith, what are you thinking?!’
She quickly closed the book and patted her burning cheeks, but her racing heart just wouldn’t calm down.
Lilith covered her blushing little face. The rosy hue of her cheeks betrayed her owner’s excitement.
‘Just… just one more look. After all, if my technique is poor in the future, how will I take care of Lili?’
Lilith successfully convinced herself and began frantically studying the forbidden knowledge, preparing to use it on Bai Lili in the future. Meanwhile, Bai Lili, blissfully unaware, had no idea what was in store for her.
Some time later, Lilith had lost count of how many volumes of forbidden knowledge she had read. She felt she was only one step away from becoming a master: practical experience. Just as she finished the book in her hand, put it back, and was about to look for the next one, a blue vortex appeared and transported Lilith back.
Vivianna looked at the Lilith before her. Lilith’s face was rosy, her spirit vibrant. She didn’t seem like someone who had been studying non-stop. Vivianna thought perhaps she was overthinking it. Maybe this Lilith just loved to study. She decided not to give Lilith a hard time and spoke.
“Your beloved is sleeping in the room at the end of the corridor. You now have one day of rest. The next trial will test your willpower.”
With that, Vivianna transformed into a swarm of bats and dissipated, leaving Lilith alone.
‘Willpower? Whatever, nothing is more important than Lili.’ Lilith thought, a smile playing on her lips. ‘I really want to use the knowledge I just learned on Lili.’
Without further delay, Lilith headed for the room where Bai Lili was sleeping. After studying for so long inside, Lilith felt she deserved to relax a bit. As for tomorrow’s matters, she’d leave them to tomorrow’s self.
In her dream, Bai Lili suddenly felt as if she was being watched by a giant serpent, squeezed so tightly she couldn’t breathe, like a fish stranded on the shore, gasping for air. She struggled desperately, trying to break free from the restraint. She snapped her eyes open and discovered it was Lilith holding her. The embrace was simply too tight, causing her nightmare.
Bai Lili looked at Lilith’s face, unsure whether she should wake her or not. While Bai Lili hesitated, Lilith was actually already awake but pretended to still be asleep. Opportunities to hold Bai Lili like this were rare; she had to cherish every chance to advance her conquest.
Bai Lili whispered softly into Lilith’s ear.
“Lilith, wake up. You’re holding me too tight.”
Lilith opened her eyes, feigning ignorance.
“Lili? How did you end up in my arms? Sorry, I was so tired yesterday I didn’t notice you.”
Seeing Lilith apologize so sincerely, Bai Lili decided not to make a fuss. She wriggled her arms.
“Well, how long are you going to keep holding me? Let go.”
Lilith released the arms that had been imprisoning Bai Lili.
