Bai Ya opened his eyes after an unknown amount of time and struggled to sit up from the ground.
There was neither sun nor moon in the sky, only pitch-black darkness all around, with only himself emitting a faint glow, like a firefly in the night.
Where was this place? There were many possibilities.
The most likely one was that he was in another world.
Bai Ya gave a bitter smile. Losing consciousness probably meant he had been transported to a different world. He hadn’t expected that even breaking his phone wouldn’t save him.
But, in those otherworldly novels, the other world didn’t seem to look like this at all.
As he examined his surroundings, a girl’s voice suddenly echoed in his mind.
“Bai Ya-kun, I am the Goddess of Creation Fia. Pleased to meet you~”
The girl said something strange, but Bai Ya’s brain automatically translated it into something understandable.
She said her name was the Goddess of Creation. The voice was unfamiliar, she seemed to know him, but wasn’t someone he was familiar with.
“Oh, the Goddess of Creation, huh? (What kind of weird name is that?) I’m Bai Ya. What do you want? Is this another world? If so, make a sound. And if you want me to play games with you, remember to pay up first.”
This was Bai Ya’s habitual response.
To make a living, he worked part-time, but the money wasn’t nearly enough. So he earned extra by power-leveling in games.
Bai Ya’s expression suddenly froze.
He had just realized something crucial: in this pitch-black environment, the sudden appearance of a girl’s voice in his mind… this was like something out of a horror movie.
This was really bad…
Rubbing his hair, Bai Ya was utterly baffled.
“Hey, Goddess of Creation, are you still there? Where is this place?”
He spoke in a tone of despair, unconcerned about the possibility that this so-called Goddess might be a ghost ready to kill him. Compared to death, the fear of knowing nothing about this place was what truly made Bai Ya’s heart race.
“Bai Ya-kun, what you said is very interesting, but it’s time to face the reality.”
The voice came from above, and at the same time, dazzling light burst forth.
The darkness was instantly dispelled, the world illuminated by light.
Things hidden in the dark were fully exposed at this moment.
“Is this for real…”
Squinting, Bai Ya looked up. In the sky, a girl wrapped in radiant light with six pairs of white wings behind her smiled warmly at him.
She wore a dress woven from feathers; the pure white and holiness complemented her delicate frame. Her golden hair was tied into twin ponytails with pink ribbons shaped like hearts, and her red eyes twinkled mischievously.
Her doll-like face formed an angelic smile, and her ample chest rose and fell rhythmically.
She was the most beautiful girl Bai Ya had ever seen.
The angelic girl raised her palms upward, holding the air. Behind her, a vast crystal palace floated.
Countless golden stars twinkled in the sky, silver stardust moved in orderly circular motions.
A sacred hymn resounded through this world.
The moment the girl appeared, the entire world transformed completely. This was a divine miracle, and it could only be explained as such.
“God’s Nation [Aeltia], my most proud creation. Bai Ya-kun, welcome.”
The girl clasped her hands and greeted Bai Ya with a radiant smile, welcoming the visitor to [Aeltia].
“This doesn’t match the usual storyline…”
Bai Ya’s thoughts were still stuck in the world of otherworldly novels, but the fact that the girl was the Goddess of Creation named Fia was firmly etched in his mind.
Fia caught Bai Ya mumbling to himself and her eyes brightened.
“Speaking of novels, Bai Ya-kun, I actually wrote a tragic novel using you as the main character~”
“Huh?”
“But it was rejected by the editorial department.”
Fia tapped her head with a troubled expression, then hesitated as if waiting for Bai Ya to ask a question.
“So?”
Just as she wished, Bai Ya held back his urge to mock her and instead asked.
Indeed, the combination of an editor, rejection, and a novelist goddess made his brain go haywire.
“So, I erased all your traces from the world to vent my anger.”
Fia pressed a finger against her lips, tilting her head with a carefree smile.
Bai Ya roughly understood the cause and effect: the goddess-writer who got rejected vented her frustration by causing him to fall into this state.
You damn god!!
Bai Ya suddenly felt utterly exhausted—both physically and mentally.
“Bai Ya-kun, if you help me rewrite the novel’s ending, I’ll send you back to the Original World.”
The hateful voice of Fia echoed in his ears.
“You should fix your own story as the author!”
“Is that so? In that case, I’ll just erase you now~”
Fia smiled and raised her hand, palm facing Bai Ya.
“I’ll wipe you out.”
Her expression became blank as crimson-gold flames ignited in her palm.
The thought that touching those flames would mean death flashed through Bai Ya’s mind.
“Wait, wait, wait!!! I agree! I agree! But I don’t know how to rewrite a novel!”
He had spent most of his time working part-time and gaming, never writing a novel. Asking him to rewrite one was totally the wrong choice!
“Don’t worry, only you can do this. Just reverse the tragic ending, and you’re good.”
It sounded pretty simple.
Thinking it over, if he didn’t agree, he would disappear; if he did, all he had to do was write a happy ending to overwrite the tragedy, then he could return to the Original World.
There had never been a choice—he just had to grit his teeth and do it.
But Fia’s words seemed to carry a deeper meaning.
“Fine, then.”
With the determination of “even if the ending involves the protagonist and enemy in a romantic relationship, it’s none of my business,” Bai Ya stretched out his hand toward Fia in the sky.
“Hand it over.”
Quick battle, quick return!
“What~”
Fia tilted her head in confusion.
“Don’t play dumb. The original manuscript. I’m in a hurry; my friends are waiting for me, the number one player in the national server, to save the world.”
Bai Ya impatiently urged, his mind full of thoughts about leaving this place and returning to the Original World.
“Prepare yourself.”
Fia shook her head. Perhaps it was just Bai Ya’s imagination, but there was a trace of pity in her gaze.
Why did he suddenly feel so uneasy?
“Then,”
A ripping pain tore through his body. In Fia’s red pupils, his chest began to spiral, his whole body collapsing into a single point, and finally disappearing.
“Bai Ya-kun, welcome to my failed work, [SLAVE].”
Bai Ya should have noticed from the start that, to the Goddess of Creation, her works were the world.
