Lilith and Bai Lili were leisurely strolling through the castle. One in pink, one in gold, they walked side by side down the long castle corridors. There was no one else around; it was very quiet. Lilith could even hear Bai Lili’s breathing.
As they walked together, Bai Lili spoke up, a note of worry and apology in her voice.
“Lilith, Vivianna didn’t give you a hard time, did she?”
Lilith seemed to think for a moment, then shook her head.
“No, she didn’t give me much trouble. In fact, she taught me quite a few things.”
Lilith looked at Bai Lili meaningfully.
Bai Lili felt a shiver under that gaze, sensing it was about something not quite proper. So, she changed the subject.
“You still have to go take that trial tonight, right?”
Lilith nodded.
“Vivianna said it involves an illusion realm, and night is more suitable, so she scheduled it for tonight.”
Bai Lili didn’t ask further. After all, there wasn’t much she could do to help, so she didn’t want to cause Lilith any trouble.
She understood this was Lilith’s opportunity and trial. She couldn’t interfere, but she could cheer her on from the sidelines.
Lilith, meanwhile, walked beside Bai Lili with a relaxed expression, like a knight guarding a princess, completely unlike the haughty demeanor she had shown in front of Vivianna.
After a period of rest, Lilith waited until nightfall when Vivianna brought her trial.
Vivianna led Lilith to a mysterious small room and pointed to a bed in the center. The blanket on the bed was purple, embroidered with an eye that exuded an air of mystery.
Above the bed hung a chandelier emitting an eerie purple light, swinging back and forth. Around the bed, many unknown runes were carved, emitting a faint, flickering light that pulsed in rhythm with breathing.
Vivianna pointed at the bed, signaling for Lilith to lie down on it.
“Lilith, lie down on it. I’m going to start chanting the incantation.”
Lilith complied with Vivianna’s request and lay down on the mysterious bed. The moment she made contact with the bed, Lilith felt incredibly comfortable. The bed seemed to have some magic that made her feel deeply relaxed.
Before long, Lilith drifted into a deep sleep. Meanwhile, Bai Lili, having finished her bedtime routine, also lay down in her bed, ready to have a sweet, beautiful dream.
As Bai Lili sank into deep slumber, Vivianna on her end seemed to notice something amiss. She sensed that Lilith’s illusion realm and Bai Lili’s dream seemed to have become linked.
Vivianna wasn’t sure if this was good or bad. She believed Lilith probably wouldn’t do anything too outrageous to Bai Lili, right?
She wasn’t certain, but since it wouldn’t cause physical harm, Vivianna didn’t worry too much. She figured that when this Lilith woke up, she’d probably be secretly thrilled.
Meanwhile, Lilith, now immersed in the illusion, looked around bewildered at the scenery. It was a cozy little home, every decoration inside arranged exactly to her liking.
‘Is this the illusion? It feels so real!’
Lilith marveled inwardly. Just as she was still observing the illusion, Bai Lili suddenly wrapped her arms around Lilith’s waist from behind.
“Eh?! Lili? How are you here?!”
Lilith guessed internally that this was probably a Bai Lili created by the illusion to disrupt her willpower. But this Bai Lili was dressed too provocatively. She wore only an apron that showed off her figure perfectly. Her large golden tail swished behind her, paired with that innocent little face, it really made Lilith swallow hard.
Lilith thought to herself that having a taste in the illusion wouldn’t be so bad. Then, this illusionary Bai Lili spoke.
“Lilith, do you want to eat first, or eat…” Bai Lili placed a finger on her lips, leaving the rest unsaid.
Lilith mentally admitted this illusion had some tricks. So, she abruptly slapped herself across the face.
‘Lilith, oh Lilith, how can you be so depraved, completely disoriented by an illusion-generated Bai Lili.’
Adhering to the principle of “out of sight, out of mind,” Lilith thrust her hand through the illusionary Bai Lili. The illusionary Bai Lili, never understanding what she did wrong, dissolved into particles.
Subsequently, another Bai Lili appeared in the illusion. Seeing that this Bai Lili was dressed in the same clothes she wore when they were together, Lilith clicked her tongue.
‘This illusion is quite realistic. This one is much more authentic than the last.’
Lilith lifted the chin of the Bai Lili before her. Just as she was admiring that pretty little face, Bai Lili slapped her hand away.
“Hey, Lilith, what are you doing?!” Bai Lili was clearly a bit angry. She didn’t know how she suddenly ended up here. She figured it must be a dream. Lilith, seeing this Bai Lili’s reaction was so lifelike, felt a pang of doubt. ‘Are illusions this advanced now? Even imitating personality and mannerisms perfectly.’
Lilith thought she couldn’t let this Bai Lili tempt her any longer. Steeling her heart, she spoke.
“Sorry about this, Lili.”
Just as Lilith prepared to have a very… heart-to-heart conversation with Bai Lili, Vivianna’s voice transmitted into Lilith’s mind.
“Oh, right, Lilith. This illusion realm has linked with Bai Lili’s dream, pulling Bai Lili’s actual consciousness into this illusion. In other words, there’s a real Bai Lili mixed in here.”
Lilith’s hand, poised for action, froze. She pondered Vivianna’s words. Vivianna had no reason to lie to her. That meant a genuine Bai Lili existed within this illusion.
So, she tried to actively contact Vivianna, using the Blood Clan communication technique she learned in that library. She tried, and it succeeded. She then tentatively asked Vivianna.
“If the real Bai Lili is here, then will Lili remember anything I do to her here?”
On the other end, Vivianna hadn’t expected Lilith to learn to apply the communication technique so quickly, but she didn’t show it. She answered for Lilith.
“Bai Lili will only think it was a dream. When she wakes up, the memory will be fuzzy.”
Lilith got the answer she wanted from Vivianna and began to gradually reveal her true nature. Bai Lili now seemed like a soft, sticky marshmallow, and Lilith was the one who wanted to devour her.
Lilith suddenly wrapped her arms around Bai Lili’s waist from behind, her grip gentle yet unyielding. Bai Lili instinctively reached out her hands to push her away, but Lilith was faster, catching her wrists and gently lifting them above her head.
Just as Bai Lili was about to say something, Lilith leaned in close, her lips lightly covering Bai Lili’s, silencing all unspoken words. Bai Lili instinctively tried to turn her head away, but Lilith’s other hand had already gently cupped the side of her face—not forceful, but enough to keep her from moving.
It was a long, lingering kiss, carrying a certain undeniable warmth. Bai Lili felt her heart beating faster and faster, her body gradually losing strength as if all support had been drained away, leaving her soft and pliant in Lilith’s embrace. Her cheeks burned intensely, and even her breathing became somewhat unsteady.
Lilith’s fingers lightly traced behind Bai Lili’s ear, then slid down her neck, stopping at her most sensitive spot—the base of her tail, usually hidden most carefully. With just a few light strokes, Bai Lili trembled all over, her voice carrying a faint quiver.
“…D-don’t… don’t do that…” Her voice was so low it was almost inaudible, carrying a softness even she found unfamiliar.
Lilith chuckled lowly, her voice filled with satisfaction and indulgence.
“Be good, okay?”
The time that followed seemed both stretched long and condensed into a blur of warm tones.
They moved from the living room to the kitchen, then to the bathroom, bedroom, study… Every space became imbued with their warmth and scent. Bai Lili’s consciousness gradually blurred, leaving only a heart full of panic, shyness, and an indescribable sense of sinking. She was led, embraced, and gently coaxed by Lilith, like a small animal that had finally shed all its defenses, only able to rise and fall with the other’s rhythm.
Lilith looked at Bai Lili in her arms, eyes dazed and breathing ragged, feeling an unprecedented sense of satisfaction. She suddenly thought, ‘This isn’t some trial at all. It’s clearly a grand reward secretly gifted to me by the heavens.’
For Bai Lili, however, this long day felt like an extreme ordeal. She was so tired she couldn’t even lift a hand, only able to lie limply on the bed, hair disheveled, cheeks still flushed an unnatural red.
Lilith leaned down, gently kissing her forehead, her voice soft.
“…It’s over now.”
She raised her hand, ready to let everything return to calm.
Lilith thought about it. She definitely wouldn’t touch Bai Lili—after all, she was her future wife, and she still had to cherish her. So, she walked out of the bedroom and gave herself a very… heart-to-heart.
When she opened her eyes again, Lilith was back on the purple bed. Vivianna stood by the bedside with a mischievous grin.
“Didn’t expect that. There was a little accident with the illusion, turning your intended trial into a reward. Your little girlfriend’s… noises in the room even woke up little Qianmeng next door.”
Lilith scratched her cheek awkwardly. After all, she had gone a bit overboard. But who could say Bai Lili was blameless? Seeing Bai Lili’s fluffy ears and tail, her expression shifting from proud to pleasured, Lilith truly couldn’t resist. The more she thought about it, the more she felt she had to win over Bai Lili quickly. Still, she apologized to Qianmeng beside Vivianna.
“Sorry… Next time… I’ll be more careful.”
