“Intruders… die!”
The Blood Tiger roared, and the adventurer squad’s vision turned into a blood-soaked hellscape.
No escape—none!
“We can’t win, but we’ll fight! Perfect teamwork, and we won’t lose!” the sword-wielding captain shouted.
“Blood Clan, buff me!”
“But…”
“No buts, now!”
The low-rank Blood Clan pursed their lips, reluctantly raising hands to cast buffs on the captain.
[Steel Strength]
[Regeneration]
[Fearless]
[Swiftness]
A few low-tier buffs hit, and the captain suddenly felt pumped.
“Brothers, charge with me!”
He rushed the lead Blood Tiger, swinging his sword high. Before it landed, the Bloodthirsty Bear blocked, taking the slash with raw flesh.
“What?!”
“Kinda stings, human!”
The bear roared, flinging its arms, yeeting the captain.
“Captain!”
A teammate leaped, catching him, but the force sent them banging into a tree dozens of meters away.
“Terrifying beast… what is this? Never heard of it…” Monkey Guy panicked. The low-rank Blood Clan muttered, “They’re Blood Clan kin variants. Not as strong as their race’s pure evolution peaks, but mid-high tier with regen—super tough.”
“What? Blood Clan kin?! There’s a strong Blood Clan in this forest?!”
“Yep, at least… high-rank!” the low-rank said. The squad’s pupils shrank, even the cocky captain now thinking one thing.
Run!
High-ranks weren’t low-ranks. Thousands, millions of low-ranks couldn’t match one high-rank’s value.
A high-rank could raze a human city—a true disaster!
“E-Everyone, run!”
At the captain’s yell, they bolted, no hesitation. Hesitation means defeat, but… no hesitation guarantees victory?
As they fled, Super Honey Badger launched a fierce assault.
Smallest of Filo’s kin, its attack, defense, agility, and stamina weren’t top-tier. But for reckless? World-class.
Its claws sliced whoosh whoosh, heads dropping clean, not a speck of blood on its paws.
“These guys are too weak…” Super Honey Badger mocked, flicking its claws.
“We’re too strong now. One swipe, and Master made us this OP. I can’t even fathom her power,” Mourning Scale Python said, crushing Monkey Guy, ribs snapping under coils.
Only the low-rank Blood Clan remained. As “late-to-the-party” Chiyan prepped to claim the last head, Bloodthirsty Bear blocked her.
Chiyan raised a brow, flipping a 360 in midair, landing.
“What’s up?”
“Lady Chiyan, this one’s got a faint vibe like Master,” Bloodthirsty Bear said, eyeing the low-rank.
“Like Master? Hmm… kinda, yeah. But why’s a Blood Clan got Master’s vibe? Human-Blood Clan mix?” Chiyan muttered, squinting.
The beasts went quiet.
They glanced at each other. No way, no way, no way—Lady Chiyan doesn’t know Master’s Blood Clan?
Real? Possible? Logical?
…Maybe not impossible.
Chiyan, sensing the silence, felt something off. Her -250 IQ brain clicked.
“Master’s not human?!”
Beasts: “…”
You really didn’t know!
Three minutes later, Chiyan dragged the low-rank back to the villa.
“Master Master Master Master MASSSSTERRRR!” Chiyan’s mouth fired like a Gatling gun—outsiders might’ve thought she was chanting high-level magic.
Filo, lounging on a folding chair, sunbathing, got hit by this chirpy assault. She opened her eyes, salty fish vibes mixed with mild annoyance and a pinch of “wanna punch someone.”
But, keeping her “civilized” vibe, she smiled at Chiyan.
“What’s up?”
“Master, are you Blood Clan?!” Chiyan’s hands slammed the chair’s sides, forming a… wall-slam angle?
Before Filo could answer, Bingpo flipped out.
“Blood Clan? Chiyan, how’d you know?!” Bingpo yanked her up, shaking her shoulders like crazy.
“How’d you know?!”
“I… I… stop shaking, I’m gonna hurl…” Chiyan’s cheeks puffed. Bingpo froze her into an ice statue, no hesitation.
Munching her nails, Bingpo muttered, “No way her doofus brain figured out Master’s race. Unless…”
She spotted Filo’s kin rushing over, Bloodthirsty Bear hauling the low-rank on its shoulder.
“Damn damn damn damn… no wonder that moron knows—there’s a snitch…” Bingpo groaned, eyeing the incoming crew.
She itched to unleash an ult and wipe them out.
But she held back. Doing that’d tank her rep with Master. To be Master’s top dog, cool heads prevail.
Bingpo tilted her head. Thirty seconds later, the beasts reached Filo’s crew.
“Master!”
Tftc!
