Chapter 22: The Sniper and the Bait

No sooner had we begun to savor our joy than the swift Hana Guild reappeared.

The enemy characters slipped in from the right, and the center grew crowded again.

I, too, had been momentarily distracted by the scores, but Ro's warning snapped me back to my senses.

[Yongho-nim has used Blazing Flames.]

[Shinyeong-nim has used Burning Fire.]

[Ame-nim has used Cold Resolve.]

"Whoa, that scared me."

Before I could even take a few steps, the Hana Guild dealers rushed at us like wolves. The sudden flurry of attack messages nearly made my heart skip a beat.

Luckily, I had healed up properly, and the melee dealers who got close were quickly wiped out by Cheonjon's attacks.

"Oh... I thought only we were getting trampled by Mushin, but looks like they're getting shredded by Cheonjon too."

More than half of the center vanished in an instant.

Now, the only ones left in the empty Crystal Zone were Cheonjon, Mushin, and a handful of Rankers hastily dodging to the outskirts.

[Guild] Manager Go : @@@@@ They're coming in along the edge, be careful!

As the two powerhouses clashed again, both guilds began circling the Crystal Zone warily.

But for us, Woong was as good as a sniper.

Woong briefly changed direction and targeted the approaching dealers.

Arrows shot in from afar, and the Hana Guild members approaching us reluctantly turned away.

"Wow. Archers really are the best for PK."

It was a stark contrast, since Hana Guild's archer was built for hunting.

Usually, archers are raised as AoE hunters and only switched to PK builds at high levels. But in Woong's case, since his partner is a fixed dealer, he'd focused on PvP right from the start.

[Party] Cheonghon : This is insane, the mages can't even come close

[Party] Cheonghon : Wouldn't it be better to just focus on the mages instead of Mushin?

[Party] Ro : Then what should we do...

[Party] Cheonghon : Hmm, I guess we don't need to do anything

Enlightened, Cheonghon dashed about as Woong turned his aim again.

Ro and I followed Cheonghon, circling the outskirts and picking off Hana Guild members who approached.

Honestly, no matter how many came, Hana Guild's party—without a proper debuffer or Mushin—was nothing to worry about. We swept aside every enemy we met.

[Party] Cheonghon : Hey, I think we're going to win this!

[Party] Happy : I know, right? lol

[Party] Ro : Thirty million, nice

[Party] Happy : Sale card, also nice

Well, given the circumstances, I could understand why they were being cautious. Even Pineapple and the main dealers had started backing away quietly whenever they ran into us.

We used the mood to pressure Hana Guild.

Just as I neared the center, Mushin, with murderous intent, launched a single-target attack that made me shiver, so for a while, the three of us circled the outskirts, waiting for Mushin's attention to fade.

[Party] Cheonghon : True, if that guy had gone PKing, the account would've been wiped and fired ages ago
