Lies.
Gu Chen had also spent quite a bit of time here.
Fortunately, the officer’s attitude was much better than before; he didn’t interrogate Gu Chen like a criminal.
The procedure was simply tedious, with many details being asked repeatedly to prevent anyone from intentionally lying.
“Alright, thank you for your cooperation. We’ll leave it at that for now. If there’s anything else we need, we’ll notify you,” the officer said as he finished his notes and stood up.
“No problem. So, this really counts as self-defense, right?”
Gu Chen moved his aching shoulders, still feeling a bit uneasy.
“Of course it does. But remember, if you keep attacking after your opponent has lost the ability to move, it becomes excessive force. Do you understand?” the officer added, not forgetting to give a brief legal lesson.
“I understand, I understand.”
As long as he was in the clear, Gu Chen was happy to nod and agree to everything else.
He was then led out of the interrogation room and toward the exit.
At the same time, Su Yuqing was called into another room to sign a statement before she could leave.
“Huh? Su Yuqing!?”
Gu Chen happened to pass by the door and caught a familiar figure out of the corner of his eye.
Looking closely, he realized it was actually her!
It couldn’t be such a coincidence, could it?
He had seen her leaving the school gate earlier that afternoon, but he never expected they would end up at the same police station.
“What? Do you know her?” the officer asked when he saw him stop.
“Yeah, she’s my classmate,” Gu Chen explained.
“Why is she at the police station? Did she do something?”
“That’s none of your business. Don’t ask. Just get back to school,” the officer urged, unwilling to reveal anything.
“How is it none of my business? If she’s suspected of murder or arson, wouldn’t that be a threat to the whole school!?”
Gu Chen was so curious that he exaggerated wildly, trying to fish for information.
“It’s not that extreme. She was writing smut online, and we tracked her down. We just called her in to turn herself in,” the officer replied casually.
Holy crap!!
“Are you kidding me? Su Yuqing writes smut?”
Gu Chen couldn’t believe it.
This was the school’s number one goddess, the unattainable ideal for countless boys!
She was an existence they didn’t even dare to profane.
If someone said she was caught writing smut, he would rather believe she had committed murder or arson!
“Yeah, a pretty girl like her… why would she write that stuff? Come to think of it, I think the book was called *A Maiden’s Longing* or something.”
“She wrote *A Maiden’s Longing*?”
A series of shocks made Gu Chen feel like he was dreaming.
His voice rose several octaves.
The commotion finally caught Su Yuqing’s attention inside the room, and she looked up.
“What!?”
Naturally, her eyes met Gu Chen’s, and both were stunned.
Even after leaving the police station, Gu Chen still couldn’t accept the reality.
The school goddess was writing smut online and had been called in by the police to confess her crimes.
If word of this got out, Guo Ming would probably try to fight him.
He wouldn’t allow anyone to “slander” the goddess of his heart…
“Su Yuqing, you really make me see you in a new light.”
Gu Chen looked back over his shoulder.
He sighed; the image of the goddess had completely collapsed in his mind.
He checked the time and realized it was already late at night.
Evening study hall was almost over.
He had no choice but to grab a quick bite to eat before heading back to school.
He wondered if Tang Ziya’s strike had been successful.
He’d have to ask that guy later.
After passing through a grove of trees, he was about to turn a corner when he heard shouting and cursing coming from nearby.
“What’s going on? Did that pervert show up again?”
Gu Chen was startled.
He immediately ran toward the source of the sound, arriving at a corner of the campus.
There weren’t even streetlights here; he could only barely see by the moonlight.
“You bitch! You were so slow to buy it, and you even got the wrong thing! Are you trying to piss me off on purpose!?”
In the dim environment, Qian Zhiyu was swearing as she reached out to slap someone.
*Slap!*
The sound of the slap was particularly crisp.
Chu Xiaomeng was surrounded by three people, her back against the wall, trembling.
She clutched her head to block the slaps.
“Sister Yu, you said to buy orange juice…”
Chu Xiaomeng pleaded with a sob.
“You dare talk back!? Sister Yu hates orange juice the most! She clearly told you to buy cola!”
Another horse-faced girl chimed in, pinning her against the wall.
In truth, they all knew Qian Zhiyu had said orange juice.
But the truth didn’t matter; it was just an excuse for them to bully her.
Especially since Qian Zhiyu had been humiliated by Gu Chen twice, she was full of rage and naturally vented it on the weak.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry. I’ll get it right next time.”
Chu Xiaomeng curled her body into a ball, apologizing while she cried.
“Looking at your pitiful act makes me sick! Do you think you can seduce men like that?”
Qian Zhiyu’s anger didn’t fade at all.
She gave the other two a look.
They quickly grabbed Chu Xiaomeng’s arms, pinning them to the wall.
“Today, I’m going to strip you naked and let you seduce people online. Who knows, maybe you’ll find someone who likes you. Haha.”
A sneer curled Qian Zhiyu’s lips.
She had been interrupted by Gu Chen last time, so this was the perfect chance to finish what she started.
“No!!”
“Sister Yu, I beg you! *Sob*—”
Chu Xiaomeng cried and begged heart-wrenchingly, but she received no mercy.
*Rip!*
Her thin clothes were torn open, revealing a large expanse of pale skin.
Her development, at least an F-cup, was particularly conspicuous.
Seeing how well-developed she was made Qian Zhiyu even angrier.
She reached out aggressively to grab the girl’s bra strap.
“Ah!!!”
Faced with such humiliation, Chu Xiaomeng was on the verge of a breakdown, struggling violently.
‘If you don’t even have the courage to resist, then just wait to be bullied to death.’
Gu Chen’s words suddenly echoed in her mind.
Chu Xiaomeng’s eyes sharpened as she broke free of the restraints.
Like someone possessed, she lunged at Qian Zhiyu…
The latter never expected this punching bag to resist one day and was caught off guard.
Qian Zhiyu fell backward, and Chu Xiaomeng pinned her down, strangling her neck!
“You’re asking for death!! Kill her for me!”
Qian Zhiyu roared hysterically once she regained her senses.
The other two saw things going south and began to kick and punch Chu Xiaomeng, cursing even louder.
“Ah!!”
“Ah!!”
But soon, both of their shoulders were grabbed.
Their bodies almost flew through the air before they crashed onto the ground.
They looked up, only to find that Gu Chen had appeared out of nowhere.
“What kind of skill is it to use numbers to bully the few? If you have the guts, fight one-on-one. Don’t worry, I won’t interfere in your fight.”
After taking care of the two lackeys, Gu Chen watched the scene with interest.
His gaze settled on Chu Xiaomeng with a hint of admiration.
He had thought she would truly just let herself be oppressed, but he hadn’t expected her to actually learn to resist.
“Senior Gu Chen?”
Seeing him appear, tears streamed down Chu Xiaomeng’s face.
“What are you looking at me for? If you want revenge, do it now. If there’s no good show to watch, I’m leaving,” Gu Chen said coldly.
Chu Xiaomeng sobbed.
After taking that step toward resistance, she realized it wasn’t that difficult.
Perhaps it was also because Gu Chen’s presence gave her a massive boost in confidence.
She continued to pin Qian Zhiyu down, slapping her face over and over again.
She vented all her grievances, looking almost frenzied.
“Stop… I… I was wrong… please… let me go…”
Qian Zhiyu’s face was swollen, and her words were slurred.
