Chapter 28: Can’t Hold It In Anymore

‘Was I being too much? No, I only ignored her.’ Xing Lian felt incredibly wronged.

“You’re awake? Have you thought it through? Do you want to call me Master? Are you going to be obedient from now on?”

A series of footsteps approached. 

Yue Li stopped by the bed and looked down at Xing Lian, asking coldly.

‘Be obedient?’

Xing Lian’s mind felt a bit hazy for a moment, but she quickly cleared her head and gave a firm shake.

She had already suffered enough; what was the point of saying such things now?

“It seems you still need more training.” Yue Li chuckled softly.

Consequently, Xing Lian’s life in the following days became even more miserable.

She couldn’t eat well or sleep well. 

From time to time, she would be tied up and teased with feathers.

At first, Xing Lian found it unbearable, but as it happened more frequently, she gradually grew accustomed to it.

Yue Li was very displeased by this.

The only option left was solitary confinement in a dark room.

The “dark room” was an extremely torturous punishment.

However, this time, Yue Li had miscalculated.

Xing Lian was blind. 

She had long since grown accustomed to the dark. 

For her, a dark room was no different from a regular room.

Furthermore, her experience of being neglected for over a dozen years in her past life had made her used to loneliness and isolation. 

Thus, this trick was completely useless against her.

Yue Li soon realized this and silently cursed her own stupidity.

‘Locking a blind person in a dark room… what was I thinking?’

Seeing that this method wouldn’t work, Yue Li immediately began brainstorming a new plan.

When she was finally released from the dark room, Xing Lian didn’t feel a thing. 

She didn’t even realize she had been in solitary confinement; she only knew she had been moved to a different living space.

‘What does she want to do now?’

Xing Lian was growing tired of the constant schemes, but she soon lost the energy to worry about them.

A long time had passed since her last meal. 

She felt extremely hungry. 

Why hadn’t anyone brought her food yet? 

Did Yue Li intend to starve her to death?

“Is anyone there? Is anyone there? I’m hungry! I want to eat!”

Xing Lian endured the hunger as long as she could, but finally, she couldn’t hold back anymore and began shouting in the room.

She loved good food and hated being hungry most of all. 

If Yue Li used this method against her, she would truly be hitting her where it hurt.

Xing Lian was deeply worried, but fortunately, her worst fear didn’t come to pass. 

Yue Li arrived shortly after.

“Stop shouting. I’m here.”

Yue Li supported her as she walked to the table and pressed a spoon into her hand.

‘A spoon? Did she make soup today?’

Xing Lian’s nose twitched, catching a rich, delicious aroma.

She scooped up a mouthful and her eyes instantly brightened.

It was sour and sweet, with tomatoes and eggs. 

It was tomato and egg drop soup. 

She hadn’t expected to taste such a familiar dish in this foreign world.

Xing Lian drank several mouthfuls of soup and wanted to eat something solid, but after feeling around the table, she realized there was only soup.

‘What’s going on?’ Xing Lian was filled with confusion, but she soon stopped caring.

Drinking more soup was fine too.

Mushroom soup, lean meat soup, loofah soup, seafood soup…

She tried every single soup, and her little stomach soon began to bulge. 

Once she felt full, Xing Lian finally set down her spoon.

“Are you finished?”

“Mhm.” Xing Lian wiped her mouth.

Yue Li took a few sips of the soup and then began to clear away the dishes.

After she finished cleaning up, she didn’t say much to her. 

With an expectant smile playing on her lips, she left the room with a light step.

The lunch had been very good. 

Having eaten her fill, she felt a bit drowsy. 

Xing Lian rubbed her eyes and lay on the bed to nap for a while.

Half an hour later, she felt a sudden urge to urinate.

Xing Lian let out a yawn, threw back the covers, and stretched out her snow-white feet to find her slippers by the bedside. 

She then walked toward the bedroom door.

“Click, click.”

She tried to open the door, but after several attempts, it wouldn’t budge. 

Xing Lian froze in place, ‘Why is the door locked?’

Although she couldn’t see, she had stayed here for over ten days and was already familiar with the layout of the suite.

The place she lived was quite large, consisting of a master bedroom, a bathroom, and a living room.

Usually, when she had needs to attend to, she would go out to handle them. 

Now that the door was locked, how was she supposed to get out?

“Ugh.”

Xing Lian rubbed her lower abdomen, feeling the pressure build. 

She started to panic.

“Open the door! Open the door!” She shouted while banging on the door, but there was no response.

‘Yue Li didn’t seem to be around. Where could she have gone?’

Xing Lian bit her lower lip.

She had drunk too much soup at lunch. 

The urge was getting stronger and stronger; she was reaching her limit.

‘What should I do? What am I supposed to do?’

Xing Lian paced back and forth in the room.

She didn’t know when Yue Li would be back. 

Waiting wasn’t a long-term solution, but if she didn’t wait, how was she going to solve this?

‘Should I… just do it in the room?’

Xing Lian’s eyes darted around.

‘No, absolutely not! That’s too disgusting.’

This was her living space, after all. 

She didn’t want to make a mess. 

Moreover, if Yue Li found out, it would be social suicide.

With no other choice, Xing Lian tried to endure it.

But physiological needs weren’t something that could be overcome so easily.

At first, it was just slight discomfort, but as time passed, the sensation became agonizing.

One hour later.

Xing Lian was curled up on the bed, her legs squeezed tightly together. 

She felt like she was going to suffer internal injuries from holding it in.

‘No, I can’t hold it anymore!’

Xing Lian panted heavily, straining her ears to listen carefully.

The surroundings were completely silent. 

There wasn’t a single sound, making it seem like no one was coming.

‘In that case…’

Xing Lian’s cheeks turned a bright crimson. 

She walked to a corner of the room and picked up a vase.

She walked back to the bed, lay down, and brought the vase under the covers…

‘Mhm, this should work. As long as I’m careful and don’t get anything on the bed, I can just throw it away secretly later.’

Xing Lian’s plan was sound, but things didn’t go as expected. 

Just as she was about to find relief, the sound of footsteps suddenly echoed.

“Ah!”

Xing Lian jumped in fright. 

Out of a guilty conscience, she hurriedly pulled her hands back from under her skirt.

But it was too late; Yue Li had already seen her.

“You…”

“It’s not what you think! Please don’t misunderstand!”

Before Yue Li could even finish her sentence, Xing Lian waved her hands frantically with a flushed face, cutting her off.

She knew her behavior was very likely to cause a misunderstanding.

A beautiful girl lying on a bed with an enticing pink flush on her face and her fingers hidden under her skirt—anyone who saw that would have their suspicions.
