Yu Tu was truly speechless at this directionally challenged fox.
“Haven’t you played this game before? How could you not remember the map?”
“I couldn’t help it. I only like vanilla stories, so I uninstalled it right after finishing the prologue.”
Yu Tu stood up helplessly, sat on the edge of the Somersault Cloud, and swung her legs as she surveyed the surrounding scenery. “Fine, fine. Let me see… Wow, this is the territory of your most loyal high-ranking official.”
Weiyang quickly guessed the answer.
“The most loyal official… is it Li Mei?”
Li Mei was the most talented Onmyouji under Goddess Weiyang, known by many as Frozen Star Li Mei.
In the game’s original plot, after Asagao stole Weiyang’s girlfriend, her second target was this top general. Once Li Mei was successfully charmed, no one left in the Divine Capital could stop Asagao from replacing Weiyang as the Goddess.
At that point, everything would fall into ruin, and it would be too late to turn back.
Therefore, it was vital to start with Li Mei to gain support. According to the game’s plot, she was extremely loyal to Weiyang. As long as Weiyang could get to her before Asagao did and explain everything clearly, she would surely receive help.
“This is great, Yu Tu! Let’s go find Li Mei right now. She’ll definitely believe that I’m not a fox demon!”
Weiyang spoke to Yu Tu with excitement, wanting to see Li Mei immediately. However, Yu Tu poured a bucket of cold water over her enthusiasm.
“You’re so naive, darling.”
Weiyang puffed out her cheeks in annoyance.
“What is it now? Why are you picking on me?”
Yu Tu narrowed her eyes and plopped back down onto the cloud with a soft thud.
“Since Asagao’s goal is to replace you step by step, she will definitely place her own informants around such a key person. If you walk in openly to find Li Mei now, the mole will surely discover you and report back to Asagao.”
Weiyang thought about it.
Weiyang decided she was right.
“Yu Tu, what do you suggest?”
“You know what Li Mei loves to do most, right?”
Weiyang thought about it.
Weiyang shook her head.
Yu Tu rolled her eyes at her.
“It’s the hot springs, the hot springs. She is ‘Frozen Star’ Li Mei, after all. Her body temperature is very low, so she spends one hour in the hot springs every day to maintain her warmth. The good news is that the spring she frequents is private. That means as long as we lie in wait there, Li Mei will deliver herself right to us.”
Weiyang thought about it.
Weiyang decided it could work.
“Then I’ll have to trouble you to lead the way, Yu Tu.”
“… Fine, baby, I’ll lead the way~”
To avoid being discovered by other guards and to save her strength, Weiyang requested Yu Tu to transform her back into a snow fox for the journey.
She couldn’t help it; Weiyang kept complaining about why her body was so well-endowed. The weight on her chest was terrifying—it was practically a monster that consumed her stamina.
At the same time, she was looking forward to resting in the hot spring for a while. She had never enjoyed one before. It would surely be comfortable, and it would allow her to recover her strength. It was like killing two birds with one stone.
Weiyang followed behind Yu Tu, who was lounging on the Somersault Cloud. They vaulted over layers of walls and dodged a dozen patrols of guards before finally arriving at their destination.
After pushing through layers of hanging vines and walking through a narrow passage filled with shimmering ferns, the view suddenly opened up. A small hot spring surrounded by rocks came into view.
The water was a milky white, and a thick wave of heat rushed toward her. Plants resembling crystal clusters grew by the side of the pool, and Weiyang’s mood instantly brightened.
Yu Tu, however, was not smiling.
“This is the place, darling. I’ll keep watch at the entrance while you enjoy your bath in peace.”
Weiyang tilted her head in confusion.
“Aren’t you going to join me?”
“Idiot, I told you I can’t interact with things. I can only look. Otherwise, I would have eaten you up a long time ago.”
Weiyang trembled.
“Fine then.”
As the sound of turning gears faded, Weiyang returned to her human form, and Yu Tu went back to the entrance outside the passage to stand guard.
Weiyang’s gaze was involuntarily drawn to the pool of warm spring water. After the stress of hiding and fleeing for so long, being able to soak in a hot spring was heavenly.
However, the moment she prepared to enter the spring, she realized a problem —
Was she really going to soak in the hot spring here, in this form?
Weiyang’s cheeks began to burn uncontrollably.
Although she had noticed the changes in her body before, it had mostly been a visual shock or a matter of physical inconvenience. This was the first time she had to consciously face the situation of undressing and bathing alone.
This was practically a public execution.
Weiyang’s logic rejected the perverted act of peeping at herself, but her physical exhaustion and the hot spring before her were constant temptations.
“Whatever, it doesn’t matter…”
It was for the greater cause. Everything was for the greater cause. She had already worn the nurse outfit, so what was there to fear about taking a bath!
She took a deep breath, her hands trembling as she reached out to unbutton the white nurse uniform.
When her fingers touched the delicate fabric, a strange sensation spread through her.
As the clothes were loosened, her elegant collarbones, her flat yet soft stomach, and the gentle curves held within a black lace bra were gradually revealed.
Weiyang didn’t dare look closely, fearing she might feel desire for herself. She could only avert her eyes stiffly.
The scent of sulfur in the air could not mask the unfamiliar fragrance emanating from her body. She felt as though her brain was about to overload, and her heart was pounding in her chest.
‘The pressure is killing me. Yu Tu, I finally understand you.’
She shyly shed her clothes and submerged her entire body into the water, leaving only her head resting against the smooth rock at the edge. Her body gradually relaxed under the embrace of the hot water. For a moment, she was slightly dazed.
‘This is so comfortable. If it weren’t for the threat of that blonde girl, living like this wouldn’t be so bad… No, no, no, what am I thinking!’
She quickly scooped up some spring water and splashed it onto her flushed cheeks to snap herself out of it.
Once her fatigue was washed away, Weiyang stood up and dressed, intending to ask Yu Tu about the situation. But just as she finished putting on her clothes, a sound came from the hot spring behind her.
Weiyang’s movements froze, and her heart skipped a beat.
‘No way. Isn’t Yu Tu right outside? Could some aquatic monster have been lurking at the bottom of the spring?’
She nervously turned around, her hands instinctively clutching her collar.
Ripples were slowly spreading from the center of the milky-white water. Amidst the steam and the waves, a figure gradually surfaced.
The first things to appear were a pair of furry ears. Then, a face beautiful enough to overturn empires emerged completely from beneath the surface. Water droplets slid past her lips and fell into the valley of her chest.
Most of her body below the shoulders was still submerged, but the shimmering surface of the water reflected her proud curves. Most notably, several massive, fluffy fox tails were spread out behind her, gently churning the water. At that moment, those enchanting eyes were observing the panicked Weiyang on the shore with great interest.
“I didn’t disturb you, did I?”
