“What’s the problem?” Filo asked, eyeing Xiao Lin, who’d finally gone from ghosty to solid.
Xiao Lin was only level 100, but her core—a level-seven Holy Spring, clan-treasure-tier—gave her sharper senses in its range than Filo’s current weakened state. Full-power Filo? That’s another story.
Xiao Lin pointed at the spring’s base. “Big Sis, there’s a cave 100 meters below!”
“A cave? Uh, just a cave, right? 100 meters down, doesn’t concern us.”
“Uh, you’re right, Big Sis.”
Xiao Lin scratched her head, embarrassed. A cave way down there had zilch to do with their hot spring dip.
The pit was barely a meter deep. A zombie popping up from 100 meters below? Nah.
Filo shrugged, stripped, and slipped into the spring. Level-seven Holy Spring, clan-treasure-tier—damn comfy.
Filo pursed her lips, eyes closing, fully vibing.
Bubble bubble bubble…
Bubbles popped on the surface. Bingpo and Chiyan, done with the temp shelter, saw Filo blissed out. They exchanged glances, smirking weirdly.
“Chiyan, what’s your plan?”
“Whatever you’re scheming, I’m in~”
“Hehe, you’re such a devil.”
“You too~”
Bingpo and Chiyan, dragon clan prodigies, were fan-fave twins. Different attributes, personalities, thinking, IQ—but right now? Synced.
Holding their breath and aura, they slipped off their clothes and slid into the spring.
Ripples spread, but no biggie—Filo stayed zonked.
“Master’s fully checked out. Only her danger sense is on…” Bingpo whispered.
“Heh, time to get sneaky… do whatever~” Chiyan giggled.
Grinning, they wiggled their fingers, creeping toward Filo.
An hour later.
Filo stirred, yawning, stretching big. “That nap was chef’s kiss. Holy Spring sleep? Top-tier. So good.” She twisted her neck, half-emerging from the water.
Just as her upper body was about to break the surface, she froze. The spring wasn’t solo—wait, technically, it was solo, but…
Filo’s gaze slid sideways. Bingpo and Chiyan, flanking her.
“What the hell?! You two! Didn’t I say I soak alone? How’d you sneak in?!” Filo splashed back under.
Shame plus rage. Let it slide for peace? Nah, the more she thought, the madder she got!
Seconds later, she shot up, fists clenched, ready to drop love punches on them.
But…
“You sneaky little… huh?!” Filo stood, fists raised, but didn’t swing.
Bingpo and Chiyan leaned against the spring’s edge, heads tilted, mouths open, drool dangling, looking… broken.
“Master, I’m done for…”
“I was wrong, so wrong…”
Muttering in their sleep, bodies twitching faintly, Filo dropped her fists, silent.
What happened while she napped? No way she oraed them in a dream, right?
Impossible. Unrealistic.
No bruises on their faces—not beaten. But their words… mental damage?
How?
Filo couldn’t figure out what “she” did. After six seconds of brain-racking, she gave up.
“Whatever! They’ll spill when they wake. We’ve soaked long enough—real sleep needs a bed.” Filo moved to drag them out.
Not with hands, though.
“Blood threads.”
Threads whooshed from her body, wrapping the dragons into meat dumplings—everything but their heads bound tight, like armor but mostly dumplings. Filo turned, quick-changing clothes.
Don’t blame her for not being a dude. She wanted to peek but couldn’t—too much.
Filo feared her inner beast breaking loose. Past-life virgin? This temptation was off the charts. That’s why she could restrain herself.
Mental mantra: she’s a good guy now.
Peeping… humans can’t. Shouldn’t.
Even if she’s not human anymore…
Filo hauled the duo to their temp shelter. “Temp” my ass—it was decked out.
1 a.m. One hour’s sleep? Not enough. Filo plopped on the sofa, head tilted, out in minutes. Three minutes later, she sprawled flat.
The panda waddled from a corner, rolling to Filo’s side, snuggling for comfort.
The night stretched on…
Meanwhile, Xiao Lin stayed, soaking in her own spring. Self-soaking? Wild move.
No XP buffs for her—it’s all her. No effect, but comfy. Others’ comfort was like a massage; hers? Like shedding heavy clothes, bare on a bed.
“Comfy~”
Xiao Lin closed her eyes, sighing. Spring Spirits sleep too. Just as she drifted off, her eyes snapped open. She stood, scanning frantically.
“What’s that sound?”
“Help… help…”
“No way… Big Sis, it’s haunted!!!”
