Soon, it was time for work.
Keliya and Sorina were coworkers. Even though one was a saint and the other the captain of the temple guard, their work hours were the same.
They changed into their formal clothes and put on their shoes at the entrance.
Weiwei stood on the step, waving goodbye to them.
“Have a safe trip, big sisters!”
“Mm-hmm, such a good girl! ~~”
Keliya patted Weiwei on the head. Weiwei narrowed her eyes, pretending to look happy. Sorina fumed and shook her fist in protest.
“All the good cabbage gets gobbled up by you!”
“Hey, what do you mean by that?”
“Nothing. Just that it’s a terrible waste. If Weiwei were my little sister, I’d pamper her with all my heart and never let her suffer any grievance.”
“I don’t make her suffer either!”
“Whether you do or not, you know in your heart!”
Sorina was a bit hot-tempered. Keliya ignored her, pushed the door open, and glanced back at Weiwei.
“Take good care of the house. Your big sister is leaving now.”
“Okay, bye-bye, big sister.”
Keliya smiled and left the room first. Sorina followed closely behind, closing the door. Even through the door, her voice could be heard.
“You don’t know how lucky you are!”
“Stop bickering with me,” Keliya said angrily. “Let me make this clear: don’t spread rumors about Weiwei. If the Pope finds out, he’ll make me take the kid again.”
“Don’t worry, I won’t let you—”
The voices faded away. Weiwei stood there stunned.
‘That… I just heard something huge!’
‘If the Pope finds out, Keliya would have to take care of a child?’
A wicked smile spread across Weiwei’s face.
‘—Marriage.’
‘If we get married, there’ll be even more room to maneuver.’
‘As they say, love grows over time… isn’t the first word “move”? Anyway, as long as enough time passes, Keliya will naturally fall for me.’
‘Of course, she won’t let me touch her!’
Weiwei searched Keliya’s room thoroughly.
‘She insists on self-respect, pretending to be romantic in front of others, but in private she sleeps in a different bed, makes me sleep on the floor, while she tucks herself in!’
‘The purpose is, of course, to gather information and tip off my demon kin.’
‘Maybe in other other worlds, demons are absolute evil. But in this world, demons have families and friends just like humans, and they want to live in peace too.’
‘The war between demons and humans is more like an ordinary war.’
‘You could even understand it as a customary war between empires.’
‘Both sides have an unspoken agreement not to harm civilians. Military strikes are only carried out on strongholds and fortresses. Overall, the war is relatively peaceful.’
‘The cause of the war is no longer clear.’
‘Each side claims the other invaded their territory first.’
‘And how long the war will last is unknown.’
‘But although it’s called a war, it’s actually more like a cold war. Neither side is eager to attack; only small radical units charge fearlessly.’
‘Those units are out of control and don’t count as regular forces either.’
‘The demon troops led by Keliya are basically motley rabble.’
‘Thinking all this isn’t meant to whitewash Keliya. It’s still war, and I want to help, which is why I’m here to dig up intel.’
‘But after searching around, I couldn’t find anything useful.’
‘Maybe Keliya was on guard?’
‘Forget it. There’s still tomorrow. I’ll get a chance to gather intel sooner or later.’
Ring, ring.
It wasn’t the sound of a phone, but something similar—the communication crystal in her storage space was ringing. Weiwei took it out unhurriedly.
The communication crystal was a long bar shape, lit up with caller ID.
“Ha, it’s Demon Queen Big Sister…”
No need to guess—she must be asking about progress. Even though she didn’t want to, the Demon Queen was her boss, so she braced herself and answered.
“Demon Queen Big Sister, may you have peace.”
“Weiwei,” the Demon Queen’s mature voice was soft, “how’s the seduction going?”
“Well…”
‘Should I tell her the truth? Exposed on the first day, pinned to the ground and humiliated, now playing with an open hand, and Keliya even wants me to help her train!’
‘No way, too embarrassing!’
‘Where would the dignity of an original demon be?’
‘Besides, even with an open hand, I can still make Keliya fall for me. Everything is under control. No need to tell Demon Queen Big Sister too much.’
“Demon Queen Big Sister, aren’t you quite knowledgeable? What is the desire to conquer?”
“It’s going smoothly.” Weiwei’s expression didn’t change. “Keliya has been initially conquered by yours truly. Success is not far off.”
“Demon Queen Big Sister should know that love has many forms. The desire to conquer is one of them. Compared to gentle protectiveness, she prefers to treat beautiful girls harshly, even wanting to hurt them, just to satisfy her perverted desires.”
“Eh…” The Demon Queen was a bit flustered. “Keliya is a pervert?”
“Quite the pervert. I was shocked.”
“Then, are you all right?!”
“Thanks for your concern, Demon Queen Big Sister. I’m still fine. After all, I am an original demon. I’m quite experienced in dealing with perverted sisters.”
“Ohh, as expected of you! —”
After a few pleasantries, the Demon Queen hung up.
After all, this was human territory; it wouldn’t be good if humans saw.
‘Now it’s time to witness a miracle!’
‘Jealousy?’
‘That would only make others suspicious, and Keliya would get furious.’
‘I need a foolproof plan—one that shows my gentleness while subtly publicizing our relationship. So, what is that method?’
‘Hehe. I’ve already thought of it.’
‘That is — making a boxed lunch!’
‘A cute girl, worried that her big sister won’t eat enough, personally makes a “wife bento,” and then delivers it to Sister Keliya at noon when there are lots of people.’
‘No matter how you look at it, it’s perfectly reasonable!’
‘Plus it highlights my virtuousness, and might even directly make Keliya fall for me.’
‘Even if she doesn’t fall for me, it’ll stir up a commotion.’
‘Sooner or later it will reach the Pope’s ears. With just a little investigation, he’ll learn that I’m the girl Keliya saved and that I live in her house.’
‘The Pope is crazy about marrying people off. He’ll definitely make Keliya get married.’
‘Then I’ll act coy, hesitant but yielding, and it’ll be practically done.’
‘On the wedding day, I’ll wear a pure white wedding dress, cheeks flushed, looking at Keliya. When she kneels on one knee, I’ll kiss her cheek.’
‘That scene, that atmosphere!’
‘Keliya’s heart will definitely race, and she’ll muddle her way into falling in love!’
‘Then she’ll break down. Before the bridal chamber, I’ll fire a signal arrow for Demon Queen Big Sister to come pick me up, and then I’ll escape alive!’
‘Without selling my body, I’ll turn her into love-sick big sister.’
‘When I get a chance, I’ll catch her and take her to the Demon Castle.’
‘I’ll tie her up tightly, then step on her face and say:’
‘“Little brat, weren’t you very arrogant? Now you’re a prisoner, huh?”’
‘And I’ll also strip Keliya’s skirt!’
‘Better yet, slap her butt, let her experience being humiliated!’
“Ahh, that feels so good! ~~”
‘I… I can’t stand it anymore!’
‘Waaah, calm down. What do I do if I get all excited alone?’
‘Alright, I’ll proceed according to the plan. Let Keliya become a prisoner!’
