Chapter 30: We’re all girls here~

On the ground—

There was a large pile of black scales about the size of dinner plates, a bundled-up mass of leathery material, several coils of some gelatinous substance, and a few massive white bones.

‘Did the White Knight fight some kind of giant monster?’ Bai Xue’s lips twitched as surprise flooded her heart.

But thinking of the terrifying strength the other girl had displayed earlier, maybe this wasn’t all that surprising after all.

“Bai Xue, what kind of weapon do you prefer?” Ye Lian suddenly asked.

“I prefer swords,” Bai Xue replied.

The reason she had used a spear before was actually pretty similar to Ye Lian’s—it gave her a relatively safer attack range.

But in truth, it didn’t feel as natural to wield as a sword.

“Alright. How about I make you a small shield too?” Ye Lian said as she picked out a sturdy-looking long bone from the pile.

“Mm!” Bai Xue nodded eagerly, her heart filled with curiosity.

‘Could it be… that exquisite armor Ye Lian was wearing’—she forged it herself?

That would be incredible!

“I have the ability to forge equipment and tools. Try not to reveal it to anyone,” Ye Lian reminded her.

She didn’t say it absolutely couldn’t be revealed—she was leaving Bai Xue a bit of leeway.

If they ever ran into a situation where keeping it a secret would end in disaster, Bai Xue wouldn’t be forced to die protecting it.

“I understand.” Bai Xue, smart as she was, instantly got it and nodded quickly.

Ye Lian picked out the materials she needed and then sat atop the pile to begin dismantling and purifying them.

Bai Xue watched as each item was broken down and refined, her eyes unblinking with awe.

But the truly astonishing part had only just begun.

She saw Ye Lian combine the purified materials and begin a process of forging… directly in the air.

The materials transformed right before her eyes.

It didn’t take long.

A black-and-white sword, about three feet long and simple in design, along with a matching round shield, were completed and placed to the side.

Such efficient forging techniques… no, this wasn’t just crafting—this was magic!

Bai Xue was practically vibrating with excitement.

Just as Ye Lian was about to start crafting a maid outfit, she ran into a problem.

She didn’t know Bai Xue’s measurements.

If she tried to estimate, the result would definitely be ill-fitting.

At the very least, it wouldn’t match the curves properly or have clean, elegant lines.

And Ye Lian did not like that kind of work.

“Master, is something wrong?” Bai Xue asked when she saw Ye Lian suddenly freeze in place, lost in thought.

Ye Lian snapped out of it and looked at her.

“Bai Xue, what are your body measurements?”

Bai Xue’s cheeks instantly turned pink, and she stammered shyly, “My bust is…”

“No need, I’ll measure you myself.”

Ye Lian stood up and slowly walked toward her.

Bai Xue’s face flushed a deep red in an instant.

Sure, they were both girls—but they had only just met! Physical contact already?

Th-This is way too embarrassing!

“Alright, done.”

But Ye Lian hadn’t touched her at all.

She simply walked a full circle around Bai Xue and called it finished.

Relying on her powerful spatial manipulation abilities, Bai Xue’s body had been understood down to the last inch.

“Huh?” Bai Xue froze on the spot, looking utterly confused.

The steamy scenario she’d been imagining in her head didn’t even get a single frame.

There was none of that “Ah~ not there~” or “S-Stop, the heavens are watching~” nonsense happening at all.

Ye Lian completely ignored her and focused on refining the maid outfit.

It was unclear if the process was just that difficult or if she’d run into some sort of trouble, but it took her a full twenty minutes to finish.

“All done! Try it on and see how it fits,” she said excitedly, lifting it up and looking at Bai Xue.

It was a simple yet elegant black-and-white maid outfit—long sleeves on top, pleated skirt on the bottom.

Clean lines, modest style.

At first glance, it didn’t seem special, but the longer one looked, the more those flawless lines became mesmerizing.

“It’s so easy on the eyes!” Bai Xue immediately liked it.

“I prioritized mobility and safety, so I didn’t make it too sexy,” Ye Lian explained.

“That’s perfect! That’s perfect!” Bai Xue quickly waved her hands, the word “sexy” making her picture all sorts of embarrassing scenarios.

“As long as you like it. Go ahead and change into it. I’ll start refining your gloves and boots next.”

Bai Xue’s hand stiffened as she took the maid outfit. In a small voice, she asked, “Here?”

“Is there somewhere else?” Ye Lian tilted her head slightly.

“N-No, it’s fine. I’ll change right now.”

‘Changing in front of someone else… this is so embarrassing!’ Bai Xue screamed internally.

“This outfit is made from the best materials. Low-level monsters won’t be able to harm you easily. It should also be really comfortable to wear,” Ye Lian added as she got to work on the next set of gear.

Watching her, Bai Xue felt like she’d been left off to the side.

How to describe that feeling? It was like throwing a punch only to hit a pillow—completely anticlimactic.

After mentally sighing to herself, Bai Xue began to take off her slightly dirty clothes.

Her pale, smooth skin and snug undergarments were exposed as she removed her top.

She still had on breathable black tights that outlined her lower body perfectly.

Her figure was outstanding—curves in all the right places.

“This fits way too perfectly!” Bai Xue was stunned the moment she put on the maid outfit.

It was even more tailored to her than the custom formal dresses she’d worn before. Every line of her body was accentuated flawlessly.

And it felt incredibly comfortable, with excellent flexibility.

‘How the heck did White Knight manage to make something so perfectly fitted just by walking around me once?’ she thought, completely baffled.

When she opened her status panel, she was even more shocked.

Her defense stat had increased by 200 points.

And her total HP was only 10!

“Huh? This thing is actually named [Maid Outfit]?” she muttered with a puzzled look when she saw the equipment name in the menu.

“Naming things is too much trouble,” Ye Lian said, turning her head.

“Oh wow, it looks just as good as I imagined.”

Hearing that, Bai Xue felt her heart jolt and her ears flushed red.

Being praised so suddenly felt like getting shot point-blank—totally unexpected and overwhelming.

“The gloves are done,” Ye Lian said, tossing a pair of black gloves over.

Bai Xue hurried to catch them.

They felt soft and smooth in her hands.

But she knew—there was no way the defense on these gloves was anything ordinary.

“Of course,” she said as she put them on. Her defense stat rose to 230.

With that kind of broken defense, most monsters wouldn’t even be able to scratch her.

And once she added her small shield and combat boots…

Just the thought made her body tremble slightly.

‘This is insane. I’m becoming a walking tank!’

“The boots are done too. Come try them on. I’m a bit less confident about these,” Ye Lian said.

Once again, Bai Xue was taken aback.

She felt like she’d had enough surprises today to last a whole year.

“They’re already done?”

“Yeah. Come here,” Ye Lian waved her over.

Bai Xue walked over and sat down to change into them.

Surprisingly, they fit like a dream.

She had never worn boots so comfortable in her life.

And yes—they were boots, not some kind of exaggerated combat gear.

They looked almost identical to ordinary black ankle boots.

But if she kicked someone with full force while wearing them… they’d probably end up hospitalized.
