Kiz spent the next few days recovering from her illness.
Although the poison had been neutralized, it had caused fundamental damage. She still needed time to fully recover, so the doctor ordered her to stay in bed.
Kiz wanted to protest at first. What was the point of just lying in bed like a good girl? She would rather take a stroll in the garden and pick a few flowers.
However, she was forced back by a single glare from Elia, who added, “If you dare get out of bed, I’ll tie you to it and tickle you all day, understand?”
“Are you… a demon?”
“Yes, so what?” Elia replied, sounding completely justified.
Kiz had no choice but to surrender to the Saint.
Consequently, over the next few days, Elia rightfully took over Kiz’s room, Kiz’s bed, and Kiz herself.
Occasionally, she would have a maid bring a stack of Historical Chronicles of the Blood Clan from the library. She would sit by Kiz’s bed and read them with great interest.
When she wasn’t reading, she would tease Kiz—it was her favorite activity.
“Kiz, hold out your hand,” Elia said with a smile.
“What for?”
Despite her hesitation, Kiz obediently extended her hand.
Elia gently rubbed the edge of Kiz’s index finger.
Kiz felt a bit ticklish from the touch and tried to pull her hand away.
“Don’t move.”
“What are you doing now?”
“Research.”
“Researching what?”
“Researching which way of scratching with fingernails hurts the most.”
Kiz: “…?!”
She looked at Elia in terror.
But the latter merely smiled and didn’t actually do anything to her.
“I was lying. I won’t tickle you today.”
The Little Princess finally breathed a sigh of relief.
But in the next second, Elia pulled Kiz’s hand to her face… and then lowered her head to give the finger a gentle bite.
Kiz trembled all over and shouted, “What… what are you doing!”
“Biting you,” Elia said as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
“You’re a pervert!”
“Thanks for the compliment~”
Kiz’s face turned green with frustration, but she couldn’t break free from the other girl’s grip. She could only seethe in powerless rage.
Then, Elia took Kiz’s finger into her mouth.
She continued until the Little Princess’s finger was covered in her saliva.
By now, Kiz’s heart rate was nearly off the charts.
“Stop… stop doing that… please…”
“Why?”
“Because… because it’s strange…”
“How is it strange?”
“It just is!”
Elia looked at her flushed face and smiled. “You’re blushing.”
“I am not!”
“You clearly are.” Elia let go of her hand and switched to pinching her cheek. “Look, look, even your ears are red.”
Kiz swatted her hand away and curled up under the blanket, leaving only the very top of her white-haired head visible.
Looking at the lump in the covers, Elia couldn’t help but laugh out loud.
“Hey, Kiz, how old are you?”
“Four hundred… and it’s very rude to ask a woman her age!”
“You’re four hundred years old and you still hide under the covers like a child?”
“None’a your bizzness!” The Little Princess was so angry she couldn’t even articulate properly.
Elia laughed as she tugged at the blanket.
Kiz held onto the corners of the quilt with all her might, refusing to come out.
After a brief tug-of-war, Elia gave up. “Fine, fine. I won’t bite you anymore. Come out.”
The bed remained silent for a few seconds before a pair of blood-red eyes slowly peeked out. “Really?”
“Really.”
Only then did Kiz pull the blanket down to reveal her entire face.
Her face was still very red and her hair was a mess. She looked like a ruffled kitten… but even if she was a kitten, she was Elia’s kitten.
The thought put Elia in an exceptionally good mood.
She reached out to help Kiz tidy her messy hair and asked, “What do you want to eat tomorrow? I’ll go to the kitchen and make it for you.”
Kiz froze for a moment. “Do you… do you know how to cook?”
“A little. I can manage food that normal humans eat… As for Blood Clan cuisine, forget it. I have no interest in mixing those weird blood drinks.”
If she needed blood, Kiz’s was enough. She really couldn’t stomach anything else; after all, she wasn’t actually a member of the Blood Clan.
“I… I want to eat the Cream Soup from the Human Empire… I tasted it once when my Vampire Queen invited human envoys to dinner. it was delicious.”
“Alright, I’ll make it for you tomorrow,” Elia nodded.
“Why are you… being so good to me?” Kiz asked.
Elia’s movements paused. She said helplessly, “Girl, is this your first day knowing me? I told you already, it’s because you’re mine. What’s wrong with being good to my own things? Besides, if I didn’t want to be good to you, why would I have gone through so much trouble to save you from that poison?”
Kiz wanted to argue, but she found she had no rebuttal.
Elia was right.
She really was Elia’s person.
The Blood Contract was right there; it couldn’t be denied.
However, the contract could only force her to obey orders; it couldn’t force Elia to be kind to her… which meant Elia’s kindness was entirely voluntary.
Furthermore, Elia could now be considered her savior…
This realization made Kiz’s heart race again.
She lowered her head and whispered, “…Thank you.”
“Why are you being so formal with me?” Elia ruffled her hair. “Go to sleep. You’ll have your soup when you wake up tomorrow.”
“…Mm.”
Kiz lay down and closed her eyes.
After tucking Kiz in, Elia picked up her book and continued reading.
The room fell into a quiet and warm atmosphere.
Kiz secretly opened one eye to look at Elia’s profile.
Her long golden hair draped down, obscuring half her face and revealing only her upturned nose and slightly pursed lips… Her slender, fair fingers gently turned the pages. Even her long nails didn’t seem to hinder her at all.
‘She’s beautiful… The Little Saintess is truly beautiful…’
Kiz thought to herself.
She quickly closed her eyes and forced herself to fall asleep.
She couldn’t keep looking…
If she did, she would become more and more unable to leave this demon.

The next day, Elia actually went to the kitchen to make Cream Soup.
She hadn’t made this specific soup before, but the recipe was in the Original Owner’s memories. The Saint used to cook for the children at the Church’s orphanage quite often, so her culinary skills were quite impressive.
Well… despite that, she still failed a few times, making the expressions on the chefs’ faces more and more amusing each time.
Finally, under the terrified gaze of the head chef, Elia finished the dish.
When she brought the soup to Kiz, the Little Princess’s eyes instantly lit up. She took a deep breath of the aroma and said, “It smells so good…”
“Taste it.” Elia handed her a spoon and gave a gentle smile.
Kiz took a spoonful and brought it to her mouth without hesitation.
Her eyes curved into crescents as she said, “It’s delicious~”
“If it’s good, then drink more.” Elia sat by the bed. “In the future, you can tell me whenever you want to eat something, and I’ll prepare it for you.”
Kiz nodded.
Looking at the Little Princess’s satisfied expression, a strange feeling suddenly welled up in the Saint’s heart…
It wasn’t possessiveness… it was something softer.
She wanted to keep her happy like this forever.
‘Is this what they call “liking” someone?’
Elia didn’t know.
But she knew she didn’t hate the feeling.
