Chapter 32: The Black Cat Caused Trouble

However, what the black cat had not expected was that the two girls did not have any conversation at all. 

This situation even continued until class was almost over.

They stood there quietly, and even deliberately maintained some distance between them. 

Luo Yunzhi balanced the book on her head while staring at the white wall in a daze.

No one knew what she was thinking.

As for Su Qi.

She was still playing on her phone.

Time always passed quietly. 

Bai Ziyu lay on the main trunk of the large tree and let out a yawn. 

A gentle breeze brushed past, causing the tender green leaves to rustle.

The light of the setting sun filtered through the gaps in the leaves, casting patches of shadow. 

The black cat stretched out her paw and used her claw tips to leave scratch marks on the tree trunk.

She rolled over there.

Then rolled back again.

“Meow~”

“Meow.”

Don’t stay silent.

Bai Ziyu felt somewhat listless. 

These two silent girls could go act in a pantomime. 

They were not much different from a frozen photograph.

It was as if they were carefully carved sculptures, stiffly standing there only to be seen, yet unable to have any exchange. 

This made it difficult for anyone to feel much interest.

Bai Ziyu could not endure it any longer. 

She was someone… a cat who particularly hated boredom.

Therefore, she planned to jump into the corridor.

The black cat measured the distance. 

This large tree was still somewhat far from the windows.

She followed the girl’s pointing finger and looked toward the tall trees outside the window.

However, there was nothing there. 

Only the leaves swaying after being blown by the wind. 

Occasionally, a few leaves fell, drifting down and landing on the ground.

“Were you lying to me just now?”

“No.”

Su Qi shook her head.

“She just left.”

The girl then turned her gaze toward the corridor passage on the left side. 

Her voice was calm. 

“But I imagine she will be coming over again very soon.”

And just as her words fell, a slight sound came from within the corridor. 

Accompanied by a thud, a black shadow appeared.

That black shadow jumped to the ground and stood steadily on the tiles. 

Then it took a step forward, its appearance filled with elegance and composure.

“X-Xiao Bai?” Luo Yunzhi was stunned. 

Even though black cats mostly looked similar, she still recognized that this was her own cat.

Why would Xiao Bai be here?

She could not understand.

But clearly her body moved faster than her thoughts. 

Luo Yunzhi hurriedly ran over and picked up the black cat. 

Only then did she return to the place where she had been standing in punishment.

She held Bai Ziyu tightly in her arms to prevent the other party from struggling free and running away. 

Then she turned her head and looked at Su Qi with a face full of vigilance.

The girl moved to the side, putting more distance between herself and Su Qi.

She warned.

Su Qi shrugged her shoulders. 

She smiled lightly but did not say any words. 

It was as if she had been silent there ever since the punishment began.

The girl stared at the ground. 

Suddenly this appearance made Luo Yunzhi unable to understand. 

However, very soon, the end-of-class bell rang abruptly beside her ears.

The girl’s expression instantly froze. 

The homeroom teacher also walked out of the classroom doorway at this moment. 

“You stood in punishment for half a class period. You should have learned your lesson by now, right?”

The homeroom teacher was soft-hearted after all. 

“All right, you two can go back to the classroom… Wait.” She frowned. 

“Where did this black cat come from?”

The homeroom teacher looked at the girl.

The black cat blinked her eyes. 

It seemed she had caused trouble? 

Watching the homeroom teacher and that girl return to the classroom, Bai Ziyu finally came back to her senses from her shock.

The idea of probing the girl’s plans had failed. 

It had failed even before it began. 

And as a result, she had instead dragged Luo Yunzhi into more punishment.

The black cat felt somewhat helpless.

She had done something bad.

The girl smiled and used her finger to scratch the black cat’s head.
