Morning sunlight streamed through the gaps in the curtains, painting a golden halo on the floor.
Lin Lu opened her eyes and glanced at the time on her phone.
“Hmm… it is nine o’clock already…”
She stretched on the bed, her slender waist fully exposed, and began planning the day’s itinerary in her head.
She had agreed to meet Chen Xingye and the others at the amusement park at ten o’clock; with it being nine now, washing up, eating breakfast, and the 20-minute commute would be just enough time.
Rubbing her eyes, Lin Lu quickly finished her morning routine, got dressed, and walked to the guest room door.
“Knock, knock, knock!”
“Xiaoxi, time to wake up!”
There was no response.
“Xiaoxi?” Lin Lu knocked on the door again and said, “It is time to get up; if we do not hurry, we are going to be late.”
Still, no response.
Lin Lu pushed the door open and looked inside…
Lin Xiaoxi was sprawled across the bed in the shape of a giant “X,” with one leg hanging off the edge, the blanket barely covering half her body, and her hair disheveled across her face.
Fortunately, there was no blood at the scene, or she would have mistaken it for a murder scene at first glance.
Lin Lu couldn’t help but think this; although she knew Lin Xiaoxi had terrible sleeping habits and it wouldn’t be strange to see her in any position the next day… this was truly uninhibited.
“Xiaoxi!” Lin Lu walked over to the bed and nudged the blanket.
“Time to get up.”

Seeing that Lin Xiaoxi was so determined to stay in bed, she decided to make breakfast first and come back to wake her up once it was ready.

A tiny, muffled murmur came from inside the blanket.
Lin Lu then turned and walked into the kitchen.

A golden, crispy pancake was done.
Afterward, she poured two glasses of warm milk and brought the breakfast to the table.
She looked toward the living room; Lin Xiaoxi still hadn’t gotten up.
“Xiaoxi, hurry up and get up for breakfast! I have finished cooking and you are still not up! If you keep sleeping, we are really going to be late!”
Lin Lu grabbed Lin Xiaoxi’s arm and pulled her toward the edge of the bed.

“Five more minutes, just five minutes…”
“You have already slept for at least 15 minutes! Are you a pig, Lin Xiaoxi!!”
“Ah~ fine, fine… I will get up, okay?”
Lin Xiaoxi rubbed her sleepy eyes and slowly sat up.
“Go wash up quickly. I have prepared breakfast. Get washed and changed, then come down to eat.”
“Oh, got it.” Lin Xiaoxi tugged at the clothes that had slipped off her shoulder and asked curiously, “Where are we going today?”
“The amusement park, the largest one in Beijiang City. There is an aquarium, a zoo, and all sorts of things there… Move faster, I will be waiting for you downstairs.”
“Okay.”
Lin Xiaoxi jumped off the bed and ran to the bathroom barefoot.
Eight minutes later, Lin Xiaoxi appeared at the dining table right on time.
Her hair was tied into a high ponytail, and she wore a white T-shirt and a denim skirt, looking clean and refreshing.
“Wow~ this looks so good!”
Lin Xiaoxi sat down, forked a pancake, and stuffed it into her mouth.
After chewing twice, she let out an exaggerated, satisfied sigh.
“Mmm… stuff… sister makes… the best food after all…”
“If you are going to eat, then just eat. Do not talk. Eat slowly, nobody is going to snatch it from you. Be careful not to choke.”
Lin Lu took a sip of milk.

The moment the words left her mouth, as expected, Lin Xiaoxi actually choked.
“Dummy! There is milk on the table!” Lin Lu felt exhausted just looking at her sister’s foolish behavior and hurriedly reminded her.
Lin Xiaoxi grabbed the milk at her side and gulped down several mouthfuls.
“Whew~ saved.”
“Hmph, you are being well-behaved now, aren’t you?” Lin Lu finished eating, put down her cutlery, and after changing her shoes, said to Lin Xiaoxi, “Don’t worry about the dishes; we will deal with them when we get back.”

At 9:40 AM, the two left the house and called a Didi car.
By the time they arrived at the amusement park from their home, it was just around the agreed-upon meeting time.
“Wow… there are so many people…”
After getting out of the car, Lin Xiaoxi shielded her eyes from the glaring sun and sighed while looking at the sea of people queueing in front of the amusement park.
“Well, it is the biggest amusement park in the city, so it is normal to have a lot of people.” Lin Lu looked down and replied to Lin Xiaoxi while typing on her phone.
[Lin Lu: We have arrived. Are you guys here yet?]
[Chen Xingye: We just arrived not long ago, too. Little Lu, just come straight to the VIP entrance. We have VIP tickets and do not need to wait in line; we can enter right away.]
[Lin Lu: Got it.]
“Come on, we do not need to wait in line. We are going straight to the VIP entrance,” Lin Lu said, grabbing Lin Xiaoxi, who wanted to run off.
“Huh? Sister, you have connections like this? You can get VIP tickets?”
“You talk too much. Just follow me.”
The VIP entrance was next to the main gate, and there were far fewer people there.
Lin Lu pulled Lin Xiaoxi over, and from far away, she could see Chen Xingye waving vigorously.
“Little Lu! Over here, over here!”
Su Tang and Lin Shuiyue were there as well.
All three were holding tickets and looked like they had been waiting for a while.
“Sorry for the wait.” Lin Lu apologized embarrassedly.
“It is fine, we only just got here ourselves. Here, your tickets.”
Chen Xingye waved her hand, handed them the two tickets, and they went through the gate together.
“Is this your sister?” Chen Xingye leaned in, looking Lin Xiaoxi up and down.

Lin Xiaoxi noticed the word and turned to look at Lin Lu beside her.

“This is Chen Xingye, this is Su Tang, and this is Lin Shuiyue…”
The three of them greeted Lin Xiaoxi and nodded in acknowledgment.
“My sister’s name is Lin Xiaoxi.”
“Hello, big sisters!” Lin Xiaoxi bowed to everyone and called out obediently.
Su Tang immediately covered her chest, looking like she had been struck, and sighed, “Little Lu, why is your sister so well-behaved and cute!”
She leaned over and grabbed Lin Xiaoxi’s hand.
“Little Xiaoxi, were you raised on cuteness? Today, big sister is going to let you have all the fun you want! Everything is on Lin Shuiyue’s tab!”
Lin Shuiyue couldn’t help but roll her eyes at Su Tang and habitually pushed up her glasses to explain to Lin Xiaoxi, “Su Tang is just like this with everyone. Don’t be afraid, Xiaoxi.”
Lin Xiaoxi nodded with a smile and said, “It is fine! It is actually quite nice; Sister Su Tang is very enthusiastic~ But… what should we go play first?”
“Hmm… you decide, Xiaoxi. What should we play first? We have plenty of time today, we can play whatever we want~”
Su Tang thought for a moment and decided to leave the choice to Lin Xiaoxi.
After all, she was the youngest and this was her first time visiting Beijiang, so they had to make sure she was taken care of first.
“Hmm…” Lin Xiaoxi was hesitant about which amusement park ride to try first, but then her gaze inadvertently drifted toward Lin Lu, and she immediately had a “good” idea in her head.
She then looked at Lin Lu with a knowing, half-smile.
“How about~ we start with something exciting? For example… the drop tower?”
