“No offense, True Ancestor, but if you go all-out in there, our building’s defenses can’t handle a True Ancestor’s full power. Oh, you two little ones, does the dragon clan still have Ultimate Being-level powerhouses?”
The white dragon turned to Bingpo and Chiyan, asking with her mouth open. She didn’t expect the dragon clan to still have Ultimate Beings—those are crazy rare, especially for the weaker branch that escaped back then…
“Elder, the dragon clan’s got the Dragon King now, one of the ten Ultimate Beings. With him, no one dares look down on us!” Bingpo snapped to attention, answering quick.
The white dragon blinked, stunned, then threw her head back, laughing hard. “That’s awesome! Dragon clan’s blessed! Not only did a branch survive, but a new Dragon King was born!”
Her laughter unleashed a wild aura surge—[Overlord] in action. Bingpo and Chiyan nearly passed out, but Filo stepped in front, countering with her own [Overlord].
“White Dragon!” Filo barked.
The white dragon froze, her [Overlord] vibe collapsing into… [Cowerer]. She hit the deck.
“Whoa, why’re you down? Get up!” Filo yelped, shocked.
The white dragon, trembling, crawled up, sitting proper, gulping hard.
Her [Overlord] lost.
If it was just [Overlord] vs. [Overlord], she wouldn’t have flopped so hard. Thing is, Filo—without realizing—layered on her [King] title’s aura.
Pure domination. Freaking terrifying.
Ultimate Being… even after all these years, still a league of its own.
The white dragon cleared her throat, eyeing Bingpo and Chiyan to claw back some [Overlord] dignity. “Get in there, but be careful. If you’re in mortal danger, I won’t save you, kin or not… True Ancestor, please follow the rules, thanks.”
She threw Filo a final warning, terrified she’d barge in if Bingpo or Chiyan got in trouble.
If that happened, she’d… well, she couldn’t stop an Ultimate Being Blood Clan True Ancestor.
The white dragon felt like coughing up blood. Past visitors averaged level 300–400; she had full control. This helpless feeling? First time since becoming the dragon graveyard’s keeper.
With a thought, a wall on the first floor opened with a ka-ka-ka, revealing a door. It swung open, but the inside was invisible from outside.
Bingpo and Chiyan didn’t rush in, glancing at Filo.
“We’ll come back safe, promise!”
“Don’t yell so loud. Those damn scout ships are finally ready. Can’t you use your main light-energy vaporizing, immortal, stealthy, quick-know-how skills?” Filo sighed, pointing behind them, tossing out a tip from past chats to save their hides.
Bingpo and Chiyan nodded hard, swearing they wouldn’t die. They turned, paused a second or two, then charged into the door.
Boom! Boom!
The door slammed shut, merging back into the wall.
Filo stood there, wondering what kind of loot her “goldfish” crew would snag. Who knows what crazy stuff they’d pull? She used her magic to peek into the tower’s interface.
“Yo, alive!”
“Uh… cool, thanks.”
Filo glanced around, still puzzled, thinking the white dragon was a bit of a weirdo. Guess it’s a vibe cleanse or something.
She checked the video interface. Bingpo and Chiyan popped up, looking dazed in a white-walled maze, like the whole building linked straight to the top.
The structure’s hum made you think only brainiacs could control it. The sheer concept was mind-blowing.
Bingpo and Chiyan stayed on guard, expecting danger any second.
The floor cracked open, a huge hole forming. A wall displayed a single line of text Filo couldn’t read.
It was simple: “Enter the first floor’s test. Pass, proceed to the second floor. Fail, lose eligibility and face unknown changes. Break the system, no way back—you agreed to the test.”
Pass, level up. Fail, maybe die. Harsh terms, but Bingpo and Chiyan chose the same path. A giant white tower appeared in the center, splitting them. Each faced a stone wall.
Bingpo stared at hers, silent. The wall read: [Question: Three people, five apples. How to divide them evenly?]
Brain teaser?
Normally, five apples can’t split evenly among three, but creative thinking opens options. For Bingpo, this was child’s play—first floor’s test shouldn’t be too hard.
But in reality, she wasn’t solving it. She was panicking over one thing.
Chiyan’s question wouldn’t be a brain teaser too, right? Damn, Chiyan’s smarts… crap! Gotta figure out how to pass her the answer.
Meanwhile, Chiyan stared at her stone plaque’s puzzle, zoning out for a bit, blinking.
“This question… too easy! Yo, just off one guy, then two split five apples—two and a half each. I’m a little genius, hehe (*▽*)!”
