Seeing her “precious collection” tossed into the river, Gu Mixue let out an indescribable shriek on the spot.
Unfortunately, it was too late; the USB drive filled with “study materials” had already vanished into the surging currents.
After disposing of the item, Gu Bai took a deep breath, pinched Gu Mixue’s cheek, and said sternly:

Once he had her assurance, Gu Bai breathed a sigh of relief.
“Alright, stop pestering your big brother,” he said with a yawn.
“I played games with my roommates all night; I’m as drowsy as a sickly chicken right now.”
“Oh.”
Mixue nodded and stood there blankly, not moving an inch.
“Well? Get out. How am I supposed to sleep if you’re still here?”
“Didn’t we spend countless days sleeping together growing up?”
Mixue said righteously.
As she moved to kick off her shoes and climb onto the bed with her bare feet, Gu Bai grabbed her collar like he was picking up a kitten and hauled her out of the bedroom.
He left the lingering Mixue outside with a single sentence: “The past is the past. Now is now.”
Poor Gu Mixue was left sitting on the floor outside the door like an abandoned kitten.
When Gu Bai eventually woke up, he brushed his teeth and washed his face.
Stepping into the living room, he checked the time: it was nearly 1:00 PM.
Gu Mixue was sprawled on the sofa with her legs crossed, her white-stockinged feet pointing toward him.
Following the line of her slender, pale legs upward, he—unsurprisingly—saw some things he shouldn’t have.
“Mixue, don’t sit like that when you’re wearing a skirt.”
Gu Bai helplessly averted his gaze.
Instead of realizing her mistake, Mixue lifted a corner of her skirt and teased, “Yo, yo, yo~ Big Brother says I shouldn’t look at ‘Brother x Sister’ stories, but where exactly are your eyes wandering?”
“That’s a completely separate issue.”
Gu Bai looked away indifferently.
Even knowing she wasn’t his biological sister, he had no designs on her.

“I’ve been starving myself for three days just to fleece you for a massive meal!”
“Is that really necessary?”

By the time they arrived at the cafeteria, it was 1:00 PM.
Most students had already left, leaving only a few stragglers wandering around looking for food.
Gu Bai picked up a tray and some dishes and told Mixue:

Just as she was about to continue, Mixue seemed to grasp the situation.
She looked at Su Shuhao, then at her brother’s indifferent side profile.
She suddenly hooked her arm around Gu Bai’s and said playfully:
“Why don’t you guess?”
