Chapter 5: Stomachache

“Ugh… it hurts so much.”

Xing Lian felt extremely upset.

She did not care whether she became male or female, because it was not important to her, but she cared deeply about being bullied.

Without her consent at all, they had treated her like this. 

This world was too terrifying.

A wave of aggrieved resentment surged in Xing Lian’s heart.

Because her emotions were fluctuating so intensely, her head began to feel dizzy. 

She did not resist the wave of drowsiness and, with tears in her eyes, fell into a deep sleep.

Xing Lian’s consciousness drifted in an endless darkness, yet she did not feel afraid, because she had long grown familiar with the dark.

The dark world gave her a kind of illusory sense of safety. 

Immersed in darkness, she did not have to face the cruel reality.

However, dreams always end.

Xing Lian felt a pair of warm hands rest on her shoulders. 

They slid upward from her shoulders to her back, gently stroking her body.

‘So warm, so comfortable…’

Xing Lian subconsciously rubbed against that hand. 

Her cheek touched the palm, feeling warm and fluffy…

‘Wait!’

‘Fluffy!?’

Xing Lian’s body trembled. 

Because of the intense activity from before, she was now allergic to anything soft and furry, and she woke up with a start.

“Huff… huff…”

She opened her eyes and realized she had been dreaming. 

Xing Lian gasped for air in large breaths, feeling extremely relieved.

However, the next second…

“Did you have a nightmare?”

A gentle female voice sounded. 

The voice was so sweet, yet in Xing Lian’s ears it sounded like the murmur of a demon.

Being bullied, being ravaged, and…

Countless messy images suddenly flooded her mind. 

Xing Lian’s body moved faster than her thoughts. 

Ignoring the pain, she scrambled up and shrank against the wall.

“You… don’t come over!”

Her body trembled with fear as she clenched her small fists in a powerless threat.

Having personally experienced the other party’s strength, Xing Lian knew her threat was ridiculous. 

She had already prepared herself to be forcibly dragged over and toyed with.

However, to her surprise, the other party really did not touch her.

“Little cutie, don’t get worked up. Your body is not in good condition right now. You must not hurt yourself. I’ll listen to you. I won’t come closer.”

The other party’s soft voice calmed her restless emotions. 

Xing Lian even felt a little disgusted with herself.

She had just been ruthlessly bullied and treated terribly by her, yet now she was letting down her guard because of a single sentence from the other party.

Sure enough, she had been lacking love for too long, to the point that she would treat a monster’s gentleness as salvation.

‘Yes, a monster.’

Although she could not see with her eyes, she had already confirmed that the other party was not human.

‘How could a human have such a massive body, or grow a tail?’

Xing Lian’s dull eyes stared blankly ahead. 

She neither spoke nor moved, simply remaining in her curled-up position.

Fei knew she had gone too far yesterday, but the little one had been too tempting. 

She simply could not hold back.

“Um… I…”

Looking at the soft and delicate little one in front of her, Fei wanted to say some sweet words to comfort her, but she did not know how to begin.

After a long stalemate, Fei could not endure it any longer. 

She moved to the girl’s side and pulled her into her arms with one swift motion.

“Wahhh!”

The other party had not moved at all, so Xing Lian had already relaxed her guard. 

Suddenly being lifted by a tail, she was startled and began struggling desperately.

But she soon gave up the struggle.

With her meager strength, there was no point in humiliating herself further.

Xing Lian bit her lower lip, lowered her gaze, and resigned herself to whatever would happen. 

An aura of utter despair radiated from her.

‘Let her do whatever she wants.’

She was definitely going to bully her again.

However, she was wrong.

Although Fei really wanted to push Xing Lian down, after getting to know her, she understood just how fragile the girl’s body was—like a newborn cub.

Having already regarded Xing Lian as her mate, how could she possibly harm her other half?

Fei bit her lip and endured, simply pressing her body against the girl in a cuddle.

Though she called it a cuddle, the scene did not look that way at all.

The enormous white fox pinned the girl beneath her, nuzzling the silver-haired girl with her head. 

The girl’s expression was blank, making the whole sight look extremely strange.

Fei soon sensed that something was wrong.

‘Why was the little one not reacting at all?’

The white fox lowered her head to look at the girl and found her completely motionless, like an exquisite doll without a trace of life.

Fei panicked a little.

‘What was wrong with the little one? Could it be that she could not accept being pinned down so forcefully and was expressing her dissatisfaction this way?’

‘But this world followed the law of the jungle, where the strong ruled and the weak could only submit. It was an iron rule that had not changed for thousands of years.’

Although Fei felt she had done nothing wrong, she did not want to see the girl wearing such an expression. 

Hesitantly, she moved her fox tail and poked the girl’s chest.

Xing Lian’s body instinctively trembled when the tail touched her, reminded of yesterday’s intense experience.

Seeing Xing Lian’s reaction, Fei knew she had done something wrong. 

It seemed she had been too rough yesterday and left the little one with a very bad memory.

‘I can’t stay in this form for now, and this form is not convenient for holding her.’

Fei thought for a moment, closed her narrow eyes, and clumsily began to use a power she had not employed in a long time.

Moments later, a faint red light emanated from her body. 

The massive white fox form began to shrink, transforming into a tall, mature woman.

Silver hair cascaded down to her waist. 

Her figure was graceful and curvaceous, with healthy wheat-colored skin accentuating her smooth body lines.

Fox ears stood lightly among her hair, and a fox tail hung behind her. 

Her crimson pupils shimmered with allure. 

The entire woman radiated a wild, bold, and seductive beauty.

Xing Lian could not see with her eyes, so she missed the miraculous scene unfolding before her, but she could sense it.

The dangerous aura that had filled the surroundings disappeared. 

‘Had that creature left? Where had she gone?’ Xing Lian’s heart was full of confusion.

At that moment, a powerful force suddenly gripped her waist.

“Wah!”

Thinking the creature wanted to bully her again, Xing Lian instinctively tried to struggle. 

But halfway through struggling, she suddenly realized something was off.

That creature was a monster. 

How could she hug her like this? 

Her body was not this petite.

The one in close contact with her seemed to be a human, but how could there be a human here!

“Who are you!?” Xing Lian asked, her face full of vigilance.

“What do you think?” The other party replied with a light laugh.

Xing Lian’s body instantly stiffened.

Although her appearance had changed drastically, her voice had not. 

This was clearly the same monster who had bullied her earlier.
