Early the next morning, Lorevil finished the breakfast her wife, Noxia, had carefully prepared. It was blood berry jam on bread paired with warm blood marrow milk.
Lorevil patted her stomach contentedly, stood up, and walked out of the mansion. As soon as she reached the entrance, she saw Elini jogging nearby in light sportswear. Fine beads of sweat dotted her forehead, and a small patch of her clothes was damp. She revealed a pair of tanned thighs that reflected the sunlight and gave off a faint scent of perspiration.
Seeing Lorevil, Elini slowed her pace and trotted over on her two tanned legs. Her chest bounced slightly with her movement before she came to a steady stop.
“Good morning, Lady Lorevil.”
She was slightly out of breath, and her face wore a post-exercise flush. A wave of refreshing heat, mixed with a faint scent of sweat, wafted toward Lorevil.
“You are…?” Lorevil raised an eyebrow, looking at her energetic appearance with some surprise.
‘I didn’t expect the frail-looking Elini to be such an athletic girl.’
“As Madam Noxia’s fitness instructor, I plan to develop a routine best suited for her constitution,” Elini said, wiping the sweat from her forehead with a serious and obedient gaze. “Right now, I am personally testing the entire process to ensure the intensity is moderate so that I don’t overwork the Madam.”
“Then I’ll leave it to you,” Lorevil said in a soft tone. “My wife’s constitution is indeed quite weak. When she’s at home, she’s either sitting and reading or lying down to rest.”
“Understood.” Elini nodded earnestly.
Recalling her wife’s physical condition, Lorevil continued, “When I gave her a massage last time, I felt that her waist and shoulders were a bit stiff.”
Elini thought for a moment. “That is quite normal.”
“If she can improve her physique and increase her flexibility through exercise, that would be for the best.” Lorevil gave her a meaningful look.
Elini’s own physique, for instance, was excellent.
Elini keenly noticed her master’s gaze. Her cheeks flushed slightly, but she didn’t shy away; she was already accustomed to such looks.
“Increase flexibility?” she asked timidly. Suddenly, her eyes lit up as if she had thought of a great idea. “By the way, a form of exercise called yoga has recently become popular among Human nobles. The movements are gentle, it consumes very little physical strength, and it is particularly effective at improving flexibility.”
“Moreover, it’s an indoor activity, so it won’t be affected by the weather. It’s very suitable for Madam Noxia.”
“Yoga?”
Lorevil’s interest was piqued. She had known about this exercise before she transmigrated. It was indeed very popular among women, as the movements were gentle yet effective.
“That sounds quite good,” Lorevil said with an approving nod. “My wife doesn’t have many social engagements, so she has plenty of time.”
Yoga had been a favorite exercise for women back in her previous world as well. She felt it would unexpectedly suit her wife quite well. Her wife’s legs had beautiful lines, though they were a bit soft. If she practiced yoga to tone them up, she would surely be even more beautiful.
Lorevil looked at Elini and made the decision for her wife. “Aside from the training, just spend more time talking with her. She is quite socially anxious and isn’t used to getting close to strangers.”
Elini nodded thoughtfully. She could tell that the master and madam shared a deep bond, completely unlike the unfaithful and profligate nobles she usually dealt with in her commissions.
“I’ll leave the subsequent training to you.”
As she spoke, Lorevil gave a slight bow, her tone sincere. She knew Noxia’s personality all too well—beautiful but gloomy, unsociable, and friendless, with no hobbies to speak of. Being cooped up at home for too long not only weakened her body but also caused the blackening meter above her head to act up.
Even someone as busy with affairs as Madam Sharon had a small social circle for afternoon tea and card games. The memory of her wife nearly stabbing her to death with a kitchen knife because of a mark on her coat was still vivid in Lorevil’s mind.
While it was a bit of a thrill, Lorevil did not want to experience it again. At the thought, she broke into a cold sweat, feeling more than ever that arranging for Elini to stay was the right choice.
“Y-Yes, Lady Lorevil! I will do exactly as you say!” Elini nodded quickly, her delicate face showing a hint of restraint. She felt a bit nervous; in the face of this powerful yet gentle master, she couldn’t help but feel a sense of awe.
“She just finished breakfast, so she should be well-rested by now. You can go back and ask her to start trying it out,” Lorevil reminded her, noticing Elini’s hesitation to speak, which she attributed to fear.
“Yes!” Elini replied respectfully.
After seeing Elini off, Lorevil breathed a sigh of relief. With Elini taking care of her wife, she could finally find the time to see Mahina with peace of mind.
Because she had been stabbed to death by her wife last time, although she had seen Mahina once since then, it was without Mahina’s knowledge. Strictly speaking, it had been one week since she had last sought out Mahina.
At the thought of Mahina, Lorevil felt a bit worried. Mahina was the first *yandere* girl who had wanted to chop her into pieces in a dream. What if her negligence had caused the blackening value above the girl’s head to deepen?
Lorevil walked slowly along the street and soon arrived at the cafe where Mahina worked. The cafe was crowded as usual, with the aroma of coffee and the laughter of Vampire customers filling the air.
Lorevil didn’t stay outside like last time. Instead, she walked straight in and found a seat by the window, intending to spend some time with Mahina as a customer.
“Hello, customer. May I take your order?”
Mahina was dizzy with work, holding a small notebook as she asked quickly, not even having time to look up.
“A sweet coffee with milk, and extra sugar, please.”
Lorevil’s voice was gentle. she didn’t like bitterness. Life was already bitter enough; to drink coffee without sugar would be to treat herself too poorly.
“Alright… Lorevil? You’re here!”
Mahina had been looking down to record the customer’s request, but she looked up the moment she heard that familiar voice. Upon confirming it was the Lorevil she had been yearning for, a look of pure joy appeared on her face.
Mahina couldn’t help but stare at Lorevil for a few moments. Her heart began to race uncontrollably, and she felt her limbs grow weak again…
‘It’s only been a few days. How has Lorevil become even more beautiful?’
Her skin was fairer and more translucent, and her eyes were gentle and deep, radiating brilliance. Mahina shook her head, thinking it must be because beauty is in the eye of the beholder, causing her to like what she saw more and more.
“Go on with your work. I’ll just stay here and watch you,” Lorevil said, glancing at the many curious customers looking their way. She shrugged helplessly.
There was nothing she could do. Her natural beauty was already outstanding in Holy Blood City, attracting eyes wherever she went. This was even more true after her Tier 3 Awakening.
“Mm! Lorevil, you must wait for me!”
Mahina nodded vigorously, her face full of delight. She felt more motivated to work, and her steps became light as she wove through the tables and chairs. The ponytail bouncing behind her cap revealed her current happiness.
Lorevil took the coffee Mahina had personally brought to her and took a sip. The rich aroma of milk mixed with sweetness spread through her mouth; she could taste the young girl’s heart in this cup of coffee.
Watching Mahina’s busy yet fulfilling figure, Lorevil felt satisfied. This proved that her efforts had not been in vain. Even without her constant company, Mahina could live a good life on her own after their breakup.
But then, Lorevil felt a sudden wave of disappointment. She wanted Mahina to be independent, but she also secretly loathed the idea of the girl no longer relying on her.
This contradictory feeling left Lorevil not knowing whether to laugh or cry.
